Not really. The new quests are built around playing cards rather than accumulating wins. Win 7 Games might require you to play 10 games (assuming about 50% win rate). Play 75 Murlocs could be done in about 7 games if you decided to make a deck full of Murloc cards. You can progress through the new quests even when you don't win which gives players an incentive to keep playing rather than get frustrated and quit.
Nope not at all. They have been speeding my coin gains up for the most part. Then again, I build nonsense decks all the time, so....Just finished up an enrage paladin and polished off 3 quests in a matter of 5 games.
Nice conspiracy theory but it doesn't really hold up to scrutiny. No matter how quickly or slowly you complete the quests, you still complete one per day in the long run. In fact making 'slower' quests actually increases coin generation because:
a) These quests are worth more gold than the average before they were introduced and b) The more games you play, the more gold you accumulate through the 'win 3 games' mechanism.
more quest =less change for you to get 80 gold , 100 gold quest
play 30 to 50 card quest= u can build troll deck to play but you will only get quest gold. 40 , 50, 60 depend on quest. will take long time even you plan using troll and concede mode.
the only profits quest is play 10 xcard 50 gold quest . can be done easy. mulligan hard and concede.
3 win quest= u get 40 gold-10 gold from win= 50 gold new quest play card quest. you only get 40 gold because you very hard to win using troll deck. if you use proper deck, will take long time for you to complete the quest
same with other 50 gold - 60 gold quest.
new quest only good for newbie because they lack of collection but have less value for old player that have many card that plan to save gold for new expansion.
In my opinion gold is easier to get with new quests. In isn't connected with quest awards, but their goals.
Much less often you can get "locked out" of playing with 40g quests which are auto-completing like spell one. New ones are easy to manipulate, and even if you take a while to complete them, they don't mess your playing schedule. Playing 10 combo cards may take longer if you play tier deck, but you can make a custom deck for this purpose and even steal some wins in the process,
I think we need someone who did the math and can tell what is the median of the awards, but stil new system is superior for me.

Playing Hearthstone in German solely for Garrosh sounds. Sieg oder Tod!
Yea now I'm certain 90% of people on hearthpwn can't even graduate elementary school
So because one guy posted something that is illogical, you are now convinced 90% of people on hearthpwn can't graduate elementary school? I guess you're implying you've kept a record of all the stupid things people have said in the past, but somehow I feel you're only wildly exaggerating to make some kind of moot point.
Surely it reduced the chance of getting the 80g quest, never got it in two account where i re-roll each day since the new patch...
Besides that the 80g Play a friend quest surely will pop up less often with more quests available, I also read somewhere that this specific quest is related to the use of the specific account. I.e. a high frequented account will get this quest more often than a little used one.
Since the new quests are introduced I haven't completed a single 40 gold quest. Average gold has been way up, even with the bit more tedious 100 gold quests (though I'm sure the old 100 gold quest of 7 wins could be tedious for new players too.
No complaint here about the quests, but the "win 7 games" quest can be done by playing against any AI. That's pretty easy and also pretty quick even for a new Player.
Well the quests don't affect coin generation at all. You have a 50% to get the coin at the start of every match (if you go second you get The Coin) and you can generate additional coins by playing cards like Tomb Pillager.
So I'm not sure how quests affect coin generation at all.
In my experience, the most "combinable" old quests are / were 40g quests. The majority of cases where I did two quests combined were when one was the 40g "win 3 games with any class" that I already rerolled and couldn't avoid :D
And the new quests can be done quite easily within the same time frame as the old ones, because they have no win condition attached.
If anything, they are trying to increase gold output, especially to players with a smaller collection. You have to get players up to a certain level of achievement in the game if you want to convert them to pay players. No one is going to pay so they can go from putrid garbage to normal garbage - they must believe that the investment will tip the scales to a point where they can be self-sustaining. The new quests help with this, as did the 10-pack and a Legend deal. It would not surprise me at all if there is a deal on the new cards as well.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
I think the new quests are leagues better than the old ones. Having to win meant that everyone just played the best meta deck for the class and an unlucky streak could send you into a nerdrage. These quests put less pressure on you to win and as such allow for experimentation instead of just netdecking.
