So whats going on? Usually Blizzard does a prrreeeeetty good job at hyping the community till their chins before a new expansion comes out. It excites the meta and keeps people motivated to stay with Hearthstone. So far, ive heard nothing other than Standard and Blizzard? Something wrong, or have have they decided that hyping isnt really that important? Id like to see some hype. I mean, before LOE, it was a ridiculous amount of "OH CARD ON KOREAN WEBSITE!" "OH CARD ON FRENCH WEBSITE"
Well, some people are put off by the new Standard format. Another big factor is that we don't have any information about it at all yet. Just wait 'til they show us some new cards / mechanics, the hype will come eventually.
I don't really care about new expansions or the new format, so no point hyping it. Standard is pretty much just replacing the current format we have, and I'm going to spend a day hitting rank 5 each month, and that's it. Not really anything changing.
If they were restructuring the ranked rewards system, ladder system, or something to do with arena, then I might actually care. As long as they leave legend as the top rank and don't make it more difficult to obtain or make it give better rewards I have no plans to go get it again. Arena looks like it's unchanged with the expansion aside from a few new cards that won't effect too much.
I think OP might be asking why Blizzard hasn't released anything since standard announcement. No info means no hyping. I don't think Blizzard really does the gradual release-of-cards thing again like what happened with GvG, at least on Hearthpwn. LoE came as a surprise too, but maybe that was just me since I hadn't checked actual news for so long. But I predict it won't be too long, maybe April, May, not June, especially if Blizzard wants to start implementing 2 expansions, 1 adventure each year this year.

I'm just another one of those. You know, those who do things. Things that need to be done by those that do these things in order to do those things that don't do these things themselves. Has the word 'things' lost meaning to you already?
It's very difficult to hype up something you know extremely little about.
What do we know? We know that we're entering the year of the Kraken, we've seen a picture of ferries etc watching a virtual Kraken, and we know that there's going to be a press thing on 9th of March. Also, we can guess that the expansion, because it's the first expansion after the rotation and since Blizzard has said that they dont want people to see the same decks over and over again, will (along with the nerfs) have a big impact on the meta.
I remember that ben brode said in an interview that they planed not to launch cards an/or news about expansions too early, because it made people overhyped, which slowly faded away in the time it took for them to launch it, and they prefered doing what they did with LoE, to just anouce and launch at basically the same time.
so the lack of news maybe explained by the fact that it isn't close enough to launching as they want.
Because they know the new set can't possibly match months worth of hype from the combined factors of the expectations set by the fantastic LoE and the format change announcement.

Ferries?
It's the Year of the Kraken after all! We need all the ferries we can get!!!
No hype from me this time; the new "standard" format somehow ruined Hearthstone for me. I still like it and i play wild mode, but making formats in a online-card-game is the most stupiest thing blizzard ever revealed.
Standard only shown us that blizzard only looks for money, money, money and give a **** for the players. So my hype for the expansion is gone.
Standard blantly shown us what's most important for blizzard: grab the money, give a **** for the game. Instead of balancing a card game they want to sort out cards every year. Ironically now that they introduce it for "balance"-reasons (more to make the stockholders happy) they are nerfing cards.
They could have done this earlier too, but instead they remove expensive earned cards to create more of the same cards to grab more money for the same thing.
Also they will no longer support wild mode. I believe that they don't want to get it out of hand and ruin it for everyone, but actively balancing it... surely not. Especially since they are also removing all ways to obtain cards for wild mode except crafting. Too expensive for a new player but they knew it that if someone want to play wild, they can grab more cash for it.
There is absolutely no reason to remove all ways to obtain cards for it, yet they do it. So yes, Blizzard ruined Hearthstone as it is for me. It's a big cash grab and they gave everyone who bought GvG-packs with money the middle finger.
I was hyped for a week when standard was announced . Then there were no news. Then I heard blizz has some event in the first week of March, Then I realized that the next expansion will provably be released in the last week of March or start of April. Being hyped for almost 2 months? No thank you, don't want to be burnt out when it is actually released. So I have no hype until the expansion is revealed.
Most people pretty disappointed about standard? I'll give it shot, but i think ill stick to wild. The thing is, blizzard isnt sharing enough information with us! They need to tell us more, give us sneak peeks, or some more exciting new features that will be coming up, otherwise, its gets kinda boring quickly. At this point im kinda just passing time. Not so fun.

I expect at least 2-3 weeks prior to release. Because they want people to pre-order packs.
Yep I'd say 2 weeks (or thereabouts) makes sense for an expansion. Not so long that people get bored waiting, but long enough for a bit of pre-launch hype and pre-orders. I expect release around 23rd March if the event is on the 9th as rumoured.
Yea!! Businesses that want to make money!!! What the hell kind of game you guys playing Blizz?!? All you seem to want to do is add content and have people buy it!! The fruits of your labor should be completely free! /endsarcasm
I think they announced standard to early though, all the hype is with the revealed content, standard, expanded deckslots, and a "spring set" that all got revealed way too early yet again. I was hyped when i 1st saw the announcement for these things, but its been a long while now without another word.
I'm sure the majority of the community is already hyped though, I know I'm. We already know that a fresh new meta game is about to be introduced. Personally the current meta is so demoralizing the only thing I do is log on to collect gold and maybe play a tavern brawl. I'm sure I'm not the only one just waiting it out until standard, I honestly don't need any kind of leaks or teasers too get hyped; my body is ready gachiGASM.

now its just a waiting game!

Already a fresh thread on the topic.
That thread is about "when is it"
Im saying. Why is there no hype?

Feel free to start hyping. Don't rely on others to do the hyping that you want.
"Put your face in the light!" - Tirion Fordring
Maybe because the expansion is so far away that even Blizzard doesn't consider it to be Soon^TM. Spring 2016 lasts up to June 21st after all.
That would be a nice change from Legion which Blizztard began to hype in August but which will be released only in September.
Which one ?

Usually Blizzard does leaks of photos/cards and like last time sent youtubers those scripts etc. none of that anymore
