Light's Judgment obviously requires Auchenai Soulpriest. The 3/3 Voidbeast of the second version is supposed to be vanilla but I didn't find adequate art yet.
What do you think?
I agree that Light's Judgment is the best of these three even if I'm not huge on how niche it is. I prefer the 2nd one if only because it can heal face, though it lacks the Rastakhan watermark. A card with the same effect as Sen'jin has already been suggested, and the reception wasn't great. Thrallmar Sniper gets kudos for being the least degenerate dust/gold interaction card I've seen, but that makes the card nearly useless.
Stats are placeholder; they're probably too strong as-is. I just thought of the idea and wanted to get it out there:
The Paladin is using his hammer like a baseball bat: Overkill implies he swung too hard, thereby knocking the enemy minion back into their hero's face.
Yeah, this thing is pretty strong. You'll be killing such big minions that the face damage would be huge. Regardless, I think I like Feedback Blast's design more, though this comes in second for the flavor..
Here Is mine, i have some problems to balance the Overkill effect, you have to remember this will trigger it with the battlecry and attacking, an idea that i have is lowering the attack. What do you think?
This is kinda weird functionally because the Overkill can trigger itself. Balance-wise, less Attack would probably be wise, else nearly every attack of his would be a boardclear.
@Shatterstar1998 I like Incubus the best of the three. The reference to Succubus is cool. Zul'jin is alright with the Overkill effect, though I'm not huge on the idea of giving your opponent a 0-Attack minion. Shadowstep and the like could lead to boardlock silliness. As for Over Intellect, it feels weird to give Mage of all classes Overkill synergy; it doesn't fit the class flavor-wise.
With the prelate now the pala is a bit strong (OP) soooo I thought that a card that would help this "buffadin" could be very funny :P
Ok, first of all, you should change the text into: 'Overkill: Add random Paladin Spells to your hand equal to the excess damage' in this way it's more clear, however I would switch "Random Paladin Spells" into "Random Paladin Secrets", or, even better, instead of adding them to your hand you could directly play them, just a funny idea, then at this point you should buff the stats at least to 4/6 and finally I would change both art (image is unclear and pretty ugly :P) and name (Keeper of Light maybe?)

Thoughts on this? I'm not sure on the mana cost or the damage it should deal. It's kinda like Explosive Shot or Meteor, but with a Sap effect. It's a counter for things like Giggling Inventor. It has a nice interaction with Betrayal, so it'll keep your opponent guessing and thinking hard on minion positioning

Honestly this is strong AF for a rogue to have. Yes it is very conditional, but still pretty strong. Id say it should cost at least 6. Good flavor and art tho :)
Also, i like how you can shuffle your own minions into your opponent's deck, if you would like to go that way :)
Has anyone learned whether overkill can trigger on your opponent's turn? It wasn't clear in the talks at blizz con. If it can't, this card isn't op at all.

I would say no, generally things like this happen when a minion attacks and it makes / would make sense for clarity sake overall. Dont know for sure tho.
I agree with you for the test change but I'm too lazy to edit the post (Thank a lot for the corrections!) ; talking about the stats and the effect: I made this card thinking about a new tupe of pala based on the imjortal prelate, so a deck full of buff spell and minion with buff effect or, for example, the Valan'yr (don't kill me if I wrote it wrong) and I thought that a 2/6 wouldn't be too OP with the deck that i described before. Now you could say me: "Yes but you shouldn't do a card made only for an archtype", and you would be right but I don't care about this. Talking about the image and the name, well the image have a bad resolution so isn't very beautiful but when i thought about a minion that could give you a lot of spells imagined a fat silver hand's recruit XD; then I remembered that in a game there was an "essence of essences" (that is called "chromatic essence") and I left the fat recruit idea for this. And for the thing that instead of adding the spells to your hand the minion directly play them, I don't want abother Meme-saron (obviously Yogg-saron reference) so just thanks but no. I'm sorry for the long post but don't worry (be happy) I finally finished
This is for Pumpkin03
Hey, use the "Quote" button/function at the bottom of a post u want to reply to ;-) I deleted your previous failed posts to clean up that :)
Btw you are free to make whatever card you want, but if you dont put enough effort into it, it will not attract much attention with the voters, just sayin, if that is something you care about.
Nemessis: It's supposed to constantly increase it's damage every time you overkill (first 2, then 3, then 4 etc.). But i don't know if i formulated that correctly.
Victory Rush: Can be a better Bash, but only if you use it on something with 2 hp or lower.
Chaos Bolt: It can be a 6 mana Twisting Nether, but it will deal a lot of damage to your hero.
Has anyone learned whether overkill can trigger on your opponent's turn? It wasn't clear in the talks at blizz con. If it can't, this card isn't op at all.
Here's my card... :) I'd considered a variant that would also be a 7 cost card but have a 5/5 that's immune while it attacks but felt that was too strong.

it feels fair, is slow enough to let your opponent try to answer it. Not much us for this against agro, but against control is a must kill card.

The idea is ok i suppose, but the execution is not the best, for example:
Use Rastakhan watermark, not Classic one
Better wording: "Overkill: Summon a copy of the killed minion." (no need to say friendly, it is implied by how things work)
Art is pretty ugly and low res
Name/character - i know priests have that deathrattle vibe, but this doesnt rly speak to me per se (might be my personal opinion)
Overall the card seems balanced mana/stats/ability wise.
PS: when you post cards, use smaller dimensions pls (width of 220 is ideal)
Here's my idea, I tried to go more with the flavour than balance.
As most announcers (like soccer and so) they react completely exagerated when the combatant/player is defeated or humiliated, as so, they call in the next challengers to fight each other in the Arena. Keepning a constant steam of entertainment is complex, but not when you are as loud as the crowd.

Kinda weird card, could make a tempo-mill deck viable lel.

Thanks for the feedback. Re: your feedback:
Your suggested wording seems imprecise to me as summoning a copy of a minion doesn't specify whether it's a friendly copy or an enemy copy. Some cards do not specify a summoned copy will be friendly but they usually are involving a friendly minion so the need to clarify the copy would be friendly is likely redundant. In the case of this card, given the minion involved is an enemy minion makes sense to specify the copy will be friendly.
As for the artwork, I leveraged the artwork of a MtG card by a pretty good artist, Anna Steinbauer (https://www.artstation.com/depingo) though agree the image isn't high res.
Re: the Priest class choice, I was considering Mage given the whole Frost Lich thing but felt Priest was a better thematic choice.

About the "friendly copy", no it is not imprecise, the extra word is unnecessary, cause that is just how HS mechanics work, plain and simple. See cards like Ixlid, Fungal Lord. By your logic, there should be "friendly copy" as well, cause you dont know for who the card summons the copy right? But you do, cause like i said, it is implied by game mechanics. And how about Mirror Entity? You say that if involved minion is the enemy one, that makes it confusing, so it should say "friendly copy", eh? No :) No card in the game says "friendly copy" and there is a plenty of cards that summon a copy of a minion from either side.
About the art, MTG art has quite a different art style compared to HS, mby saying it was ugly was a bit harsh, but it is definitely not fitting for a HS card, that is for sure.
PS: I didnt say change the watermark for nothing, you are basically introducing a brand new mechanic on a card from Classic set now ... you might think this does not matter, but it does. Small things make the cards look good and proper, if you want to get into a custom card design (or custom content design in any field), you shouldnt ingore little things, the opposite actually.
I think the idea here is to get people to invest in crafting the hilt for the reward. I know its an old design and the artwork is also old but I thought it would be a good way to incorporate spirits even further into the game. I'm also not sure if there are any legendary weapons from the classic set, but this sword is more from Lich King lore. I remember doing the quest in WoW, and I looked up the card in the search bar and it seems to have been used in some sort of gameplay at one point. Maybe it could be re-introduced?
The overkill mechanic is difficult to achieve with the hilt because it's a one shot or nothing type of deal. You'd need to buff the weapon in order to achieve overkill and the reward. I know there are cards that bring weapons back to your hand and such, but you could also get the hilt back and might not have the weapon buff cards. And using your opponents spirits against them seems interesting.
Anyway, I just like the idea of a classic set legendary weapon. I think the weapon into reward mechanic is cool too. Plus there is lore behind the weapon. The devs could use new and improved artwork but this artwork was made by Joe WIlson, who made loads of other artworks for still in-use cards.
I know I'm leaving it pretty late, but here's my idea. I know the watermark is Boomsday rather than Rastakan but it just seemed so much more thematically appropriate for a mech that shoots lasers. Feedback would be appreciated and reciprocated.
The card seems rather weak, it is super dependant on you having a weapon and more so being able to overkill targets. That seems so niche. Not to mention text both on the hero card and hero power is too long (You are missing "Battlecry" on the hero card) = too complex of an ability = needs change.
About the watermark, well, the character you created might be better suited for Boomsday, but the mechanic was introduced in Rastakhan, so it is your job to make the character fitting for that set. Assigning older set to the card when the mechanic didnt exist yet is the wrong way to go, it is no different than ppl who leave Classic watermark on it :)

Hi, nice to see new ppl around here, sadly your design is pretty bad. What you created is very much ill suited for the Overkill mechanic. It feels awkward and super forced like ur just doing that to adhere to the prompt, which you are. I think you should keep it for different set of rules and revisit the idea later. Create something different for this week ;-)
Also, i am not sure if you are using hearthcards to make your cards, but it doesnt seem so. I would recommend you to do that in the future, it is the best site for the job ;-) Anyway, GL.
I do not understand why someone submits cards like this.
Let's take already strong card like Frost Lich Jaina and lets make her much more powerful and broken replacing 3/6 minions with 6/6 minions and 1 damage HP with 2 damage HP. Nothing else changes.
1) This card is may have a little issues with balance, but that's debatable.
2) Why did I made that card? Because it's a reference to an old card. I like these kind of references and I think Blizzard like them too:

1) This card is may have a little issues with balance, but that's debatable.
2) Why did I made that card? Because it's a reference to an old card. I like these kind of references and I think Blizzard like them too:
Chillwind Yeti Mechanical Yeti
Mecha'thun C'Thun
Annoy-o-Tron Annoy-o-Module
and all the ragers, all the giants and all the corrupted versions of classic cards in old gods are made the same way.
Sorry for the late answer.
Cards I'd vote for
Eplosive Combustion by Vilegloom (page 1)
Wardruid Loti by Demon (page 2)
Chain Lightning by Wailor (page 3) {I call it: Future winner}
Cards I'd vote for with modifications
Excesssive Roughness by TheProgrentior (page 2) - Name and art aren't up to the effect.
Halazzi by Destroyer (page 4) - IMO you could reduce the cost to 7. This is a Hunter legendary after all.
Floating Ember by Kwakdizzle (page 2) - Change the art.
I took other's feedback and I have 2 new version of "Light's Judgment" to offer. I changed the name and art since
Which is best?
