Why all the hype? The card isn't that good at all. Its playable at best. against aggro its useless. Against control maybe good but priest is already good at control.
This shouldn't be a legendary card. it's a good card and will be used in almost every priest deck (not a must however) but his effect is underwhelming for a legendary card. This kind of useful cards that everyone could use but that rarely define the game SHOULD NOT BE LEGENDARY. This is a way to rise the cost of the game.
Curious Glimmerroot doesn't see too much play at the moment in any format, so you have to consider how valuable the info on their hand is, and how much better Discover is compared to a random card.
To me the card seems better than Glimmerroot for sure.
Curious Glimmerroot tells you nothing about the opponent's hand. The card is taken from the deck, and only one of them is actually in it. The result is underwhelming because you already know what's in their deck from seeing the same deck a million times in the meta.
Madame Lazul tells you three (non-fake) cards that are actually in their hand, right this very moment. That makes all the difference in the world.
Very good card. I found it slightly boring at first, but the more I thought about it, it's such a useful, sneaky card that could give you big advantage when played at the right time. Feels fair and balanced.
1 you look at their hand, not deck, so you get to know what your opponent has right now, which is more useful.
2 you dont need a dragon, which makes this much more flexible.
3 its cheaper, granted, its also smaller, but It is cheaper as well, so it is much more flexible with its mana cost, and you dont have to commit our entire turn to it.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Priest is next in line of my hero’s to get a golden portrait, and I’m certain this card will be a part of that process. Looks like Bloodmage Thalnos; not insane but highly versatile. Perfect card for priest.

Cons: ( vs the time when you play Drakonid OP)
1. Weak stats. Nobody lose sleep about her body... i mean both in game and real life, lol. Drakonid get you a card aswell but also a big midrange threat on board.
2. You only have 1 copy. Be honest, most of the game you could have 4 copies of the OP dragon, it was ridiculous
Madame lazul is a very good card because it is a better and worse cameleos and is potentially too powerful to have been made in the year of the mammoth or raven because of the quests and death knights
Its essentially better than operative in the note that you get to know whats in your opponents hand the only difference between these are their stats and depending on what card is when and where can make change to the match in some shape or form.
However, looking at what Year of the Raven leaves as a possible direction ... Thief Priest as a deck needs the following to be successful:
1. Less aggro in meta (wishing wishing wishing)
2. Decks that aren't buffing/synergy with garbage minions (silver hand recruits for Paladin, hunter beast buffs, murlocs, minions like Fire Fly, evolve decks and buffs for specific types or worse, weapon buffs). You either end up with useless cards or minions that can't kill their mirror on the other side.
3. Good cards that help you steal (SECRET AGENT COMING THROUGH, Glimmerroot).
I know this because I played Thief Priest, and it pretty much died in Un'Goro times. It's reappeared in Rastakhan era and has a nice trick with Princess Talanji, but it's still weak in standard (wild ... it's a respectable, fun meme.).

Why people vote Meta-defining its just an OK Card against Control and trash Card against Aggro.
Control Decks often have 7-10 Cards in the Hand so the Chance to get the One you want is small. Why not instead play a good Card without RNG?
Against Aggro you get a bad 1-2 Drop and a 3/2 on turn 3 which puts you alot behind on the Board.
Card for Fun Decks and thats it.
Imagine stealing quest rewards with this...

I hope I get a golden one of her.
They should have called it Madame Roger
Rusty Recycler
Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.
its similar, but I say its better for 3 reasons.

Finally, a balanced version of a Rare card Drakonid Operative, which is good enough to be a Legendary. Lol

Not sure how good this will be on ladder, but I love the flavor of the battlecry with the fortune teller. Very thematic.
This card will be in all priest decks. Very good!

Really cant review this well, against aggro its bad, but against control its super good.
It depends on the meta, and since priest has Seance, you could in theory play 3 of these a game.
Its essentially better than operative in the note that you get to know whats in your opponents hand the only difference between these are their stats and depending on what card is when and where can make change to the match in some shape or form.
Good against all decks.
Against control, you know their hands, and choose 1 good shit.
Against combo, you know their hands, and either steal combo or know when to disrupt their combo.
Against aggro, you know their bursts, and concede. At least it provide a bit of body.
With Seance and shit, I can see this makes me hate priests even more.
It's a good, maybe very good card.
