If the non-synergy standalone card falls a bit short on the power level it won't be used especially in Aggro heavy metas. So although we can't predict the future we can estimate that this won't have an irreplaceable spot it Priest Decks 70% of the time. It could work beautifully in Control fatigue matchups though ( but when has hearthstone ever seen a fatigue exclusive meta? )
This could have been an auto-include as a standalone card with no synergy at 3/3 but at 3/2 it dies TOO easily and it will be a huge tempo loss against aggro, while 3/3 for 3 mana would have been just perfect.
Stat wise perhaps, but Operative only allowed insight into which cards are still in the deck. Knowing what someone has in their hand is way more useful.
These type of cards aren't fun at all to play against. Used to enjoy the class, but since Gadgetzan I insta-concede against priest just because the class theme has changed to cards that cheat. I mean you understand there will end up being a card that shows priest your next three draws or see the top five cards on your deck, however they want to word it. Very competitive indeed!
1-mana "draw a card" is usually good value. 1-mana "look at three cards in your opponents hand" + "draw a card" is nuts. 1-mana "look at thre cards in your opponent's hand" + "draw a card" + "win in fatigue" is really good.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Sure this is kinda playable but its absolutely unsure what Priest even can play next rotation. Revive/Topsy/mechathun all ghost dead so we are back to the old "Priest early game is to weak thus not competetive.
Nice value card but nothing that priest needs overall.
I truly think this is a great card that could be super helpful in thief or control Priest. The only thing is that I love wacky mechanics and it would have been cool to see this as a 5 or 6 mana 3/3 "Battlecry: Discover a card in your opponent's hand and steal it." It could wreck Hakkar and Mecha'thun combos if played at the proper time. Would have been fun to see.
Then after 2/3 months of complaints and some hefty nerfs it would become the Madame Lazul we see today.
The card is *ideally* very good, but in practice it's just a good filler card for Control-ish decks, or slow Midrange.
Given that context of play:
1) against OTK you are still doomed in most cases.
2) against Aggro it's nearly useless, because of a bad Tempo loss. A winmore at best.
3) good against other Control. Very good.
So basically a tech card for mirror matchup.
UNLESS Princess Talanji is given some siblings. In which case the Midrange option could become consistent enough for a Thief Priest.
I'm not sure I agree with your assessment vs aggro. If I'm playing this in a control deck as I suspext, .I'm not trying to go for tempo in the early turns. My game isn't really going to start until turn 5 when I can play mass hysteria. And -anything- I can dump on the board before turn 5 is just a bonus. Be it a loot hoarder or something like this. I don't usually have a ton to do on turn 3 anyway. This is perfect. IMHO anyway.
It does fit in well with Priest's usual tools, but being that she's a fortune teller, would have been cooler if she let you see the next three cards in your Opponent's deck and got to keep a copy of one that you chose.
Excited to draw this from Espionage. :D
I like this card. This is something new. I hope to see other new cards with new mechanics.
This card we played for a month and after that it won't be played anymore because it's kind of weak
this game has truly gone to SHIT once ben left.

It's kinda weak card mechanic for such a cool villain...
According to the new rules, if the card I discover has been buffed / mana reduced, the copy I will get will keep the buffs, right?
It's depressing that this isn't a 3/3 . It could have been an actually great tool.}
Priest traditionally will only use Standalone good cards with no synergy to the rest of his Deck ONLY if the Card is AMAZING (example: Northshire Cleric / Kabal Talonpriest / Priest of the Feast)
If the non-synergy standalone card falls a bit short on the power level it won't be used especially in Aggro heavy metas. More excited to copy espionage with this card ;)
Perfect on curve :)

Blizzard hire me.
What's really good about Madame Lazul is that she's splashable.
She doesn't rely on other cards to be effective. She isn't centered around an archetype.
She's a 3/2 'draw a card' and learn about what's in your opponent's hand.
Which is great since you can either bait their cards out or play around them.
Auto include at arena.. but in ladder I won't craft it
