Good nerf, the card should still be playable but giving you an additional turn to draw removal or set up your own board brings this card into the realm of "more fair."

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
In the right direction- now they just need to increase the mana by one of about 4 other hunter cards and we'll be in a good place. Starting with Zuljin :)
I like that it now competes with To my Side! in the same mana slot, so lesss snowballing.
It'S also a small buff in terms of mana efficiency when going second (previously you'd want to play a secret on turn 2 and 3 and coin the spellstone, often leaving you with one mana floating on turn 3). Now I can play a secret on turn 2, play my animal companion regularly and play out my second secret on turn 4 or 5 and make better use of my mana.
Probably the best way to nerf the card without killing it completely.
Seems a sensible nerf, but people are forgetting that this is actually HUGE, for Standard and even more for wild. The gap between 5 and 6 mana in Hearthstone is a huge one: many AoE-Effects and complete board clears are available after 6 mana. Also 6 mana is the barrier where you need to play cards that immediately affect the board. This is a value-card, so it doesn't affect the board at all. It's now far easier to deal with the spellstone for many more classes.
This also put the card in the same turn as Deathstalker Rexxar, so the curve is gone, and having a perfect curve is quie important.
Since secrets costs 2, Even Hunter might be a thing.
didn't even think about that one. That sounds fairly legit if you think about it.
I mean, you can now run DK Rexxar AND Zul'jin. HUnter's MArk is also even now, so consistent removal is available.
Kathrena , HIghmane and Charged Devilsaur are also even, so there is technically the possibility of a Big Beast/Secret Hybrid with upgraded Hero power for early pressure. Could even run Boomzooka and Dire Frenzy for the lulz.
Since secrets costs 2, Even Hunter might be a thing.
I ran over people with even hunter without this so expect secret hunter cancer to continue
Yeah, especially in wild. I've been climbing pretty successfully with an even secret hunter in Wild even without the Spellstone. I think a lot of it is that people don't know what to expect from the deck and secrets aren't popular enough to tech against.
I'm curious to see how well it works in the list, or if it'll be another Level Up! situation. Although now I'm a little worried that it'll end up popular enough that people will start teching secret counters and I'll get screwed lol

You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
A fair nerf. 5 mana for 12/12 in stats, on curve with Rexxar DK was game-winning most of the time.
Since secrets costs 2, Even Hunter might be a thing.
This is good. It now competes with Rexxar for a spot. So you can't spellstone into Rexxar.
But I am going to have nightmares over Even Hunter.
Good nerf. Kills the Trap, Trap, Coin Spellstone curve. As the guy above, competes with Rexxar on 6.
It now plays into all AOE turns which is a big deal.
Reasonable and expected nerf.
Its still a good Spell. Not used to see sensible nerfs by blizzard.

still op as fuck tbh. ive played secret hunter a bit and many times i only played the secret on turn 6 or 7 and it still could close out games.
even hunter might be a thing to look at tho

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

I just came to follow the thread so that I can see that raging ''intellectual'' spew more nonsense about mindlessness and this nerfs.

This seems a fair nerf, but since I hate this card so much I’m gonna whine and say that (2) mana increase would have been better.

LOL -- at the time of reading this, 58 of 59 voted 'No'. There is always "that guy"!
I enjoy.
This card was star tier at some ranks, it brings it back to S, or perhaps even 1.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Hello even Hunter. Now you get to be prominent
