You can't play this card if you play Spreading Plague so it clearly needs a new archetype to support it, if there are more tools to push some kind of druid with just a few very strong beasts, maybe, right now, no.
it's probably support for Astral Tiger and Grizzled Guardian, that deck may even add Hadronox in standard now that N'zoth is rotating out, and i wouldnt rule out tiger druid from this expansion just because thighter card pool means lower powered decks get their chance in the sun, just look at Token shamman and DIscover mage, they were amazing decks during un'goro and while the former kept some viability throughout the year (even though t4, like ehya t least it makes it into the list of meta decks!) the later prety much dissapeared once Knights of the Frozen Throne was released.
for a minute i thought this would be a hunter card cause it makes more sense. I realize tho that Blizzard doesnt want you to resurrect King Krush or Highmane i guess
Guardian and Tyrantus are meh, the other three are good for this though. Hope for more Beasts to support Beast Druid, then it all comes in together. Bye Jades
I honestly expect this to be a Mage/Warlock/Shaman spell from the name and the artwork alone. Not so bad of a card.
The only problem with this card is that you cannot run Malfurion the Pestilent (or you can but very hard). The beasts come out from him will ruin your plan. Very strong card but giving up Malfurion the Pestilent for it properly not a great idea at the moment. I love it though since it has some what synergies with Charged Devilsaur or Hadronox
As others have mentioned here, this card would works best in a deck that only runs a small amount of powerful Beasts, such as Hadronox, that you want to resurrect. Unfortunately, this causes a major issue with the card. The Scarab Beetles summoned by Spreading Plague and Malfurion the Pestilent, are also Beasts. So in order for this card to perform consistently, it has to be in a deck that omits two of the best defensive tools available to Druid.
It remains to be seen whether Witchwood Grizzly or other cards released in the set can mitigate that loss enough for this card to see play.
this is why i gave the example of discover mage, in high powered formts like standard august, standard december or Wild it's probably just not viable but in a spring format where there are less cards; lower powered decks have a chance to shine and be good, in fact an un'goro-like meta is quite probable, yes warlock is not losing too many cards but neither did Pirate warrior lose many cards in the process from Gadgetzan to un'goro and we had a great Meta during that expansion (my second favorite met ain hearthstone tbh).
Am I the only one disappointed by most reveals so far? I mean, A LOT of cards have such a good artwork and a good name that I expected cool effects from them (Lord Godfrey, Darius Crowley... Mainly because they're cool lore characters, but also Witching Hour is so cool). But nooooo, one's a Defile+Tainted Zealot, one is a rushing Boogeymonster and one's a resurrect a Beast (so inherent to the artwork, right?)... C'mon Blizz, you can do better than this. I'm not saying these are weak effects, they're just hype-ruining.
I don't know much about Darius or lore.. but Darius effect is "keep growing after every victory" it's quite a thematic effect for a warrior card, the fact that boogeymonster sucked (was underpowered by a LOT) just made people insta dismiss the card.
Defile is quite a strong effect it's one of the most raid ending move as much as I heard, I don't know what's the lore of Lord Godfrey but that's quite a big effect, there's probably more of a link when we actually see his animation and sound effect.
Witching hour I guess it's kind of like a werewolf effect in which beasts come to life, I think that's the flavor of the card.
This card has potential. It's not like Druid plays a lot of minions under 3 mana, so you're definitely getting value in most Druid decks.
But, there's also aggro/OTK potential. You could play any Druid deck with no beasts, throw in one Charged Devilsaur and two of these, then have a 6 mana 14 face damage combo after the Devilsaur dies. Kind of like Force of Nature + Savage Roar, but 2 less mana. Throw in a Savage Roar and that's a 9 mana, 20 damage on an empty board.
I agree the art seems to not correlate to the effect at all. That's a shame, but even still this appears to be a pretty decent card. Especially, if you're using it to return expensive cards like a Big Priest does with its rezzes.
Theorycrafted this Hadronox Oakheart Malygos deck with Witching Hours, granted it might be too slow for current meta, but if the meta warps into full on control mode, this deck might be fun to play with.
Actually a late game card, because you don't want to use it generally on turn 3-8 because you usually want to resurrect big minions. Re-summoning grizzly against aggro is good, but you'll probably want to combo it with charged devilsaur late game as a finisher.
Maybe devilsaur druid can fit this in. Other than that looks really good in a control tyoe druid. Early game consisting of usual druid removal, turn 5 you have plenty of beast taunts. Then you can rivive them with this, and hadronox.

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
That is 99% garbage and useless trash only for "fun".

3 mana Druid of the Claw
There was a very similar list in Wild with Hadronox, a bunch of big taunts, N'Zoth and mill cards, never did great.
Maybe the standard version will do better.
Amazing card art wasted on a bad druid spell... what a shame.

Not sold on this one. I do not think resurrect druid will ever get the support resurrect priest did, and barnes is rotating out.
Love, love the art. Nice job on making it cost 3 which correlates to the witching hour of 3am . Not sure what to think of the effect yet.

Of course the main disadvantage is the opponent can polymorph your minion and you might resummon sheep instead of Hadronox.

Charged devilsaur deck can be nice, but the big problems are no Malfurion DK and polymorph/warriors 2/6 taunt are the hard counter
