- Probably not good in Taunt Druid, because you can't play Oaken Summons, Ironwood Golem, Astral Tiger, or Grizzled Guardian. - Probably not good in any slow Druid because you can't play Ultimate Infestation or Wild Growth. - Baku is probably not good in Druid because Malfurion is better. - If you're not playing this with Baku, I'm not sure what you're doing.
...maybe there is a Baku Aggro Druid incoming? I don't know...
Baku is pointless in Druid I don't think druid would make an odd cost deck just for this card. Card stats are strong but it will not see play at least until 2019 rotation.
It doesn't mean that all classes has viable decks for odd/even mechanic. They did that mechanic as a neutral mechanic and supporting for all classes. That's all. Does all neutral mechanics good for every classes ?
They want us to give it a try for all classes but I'm sure that a couple of classes will have viable odd/even decks. Druid won't be one of them it seems.

Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
It's will never see play, not because it's bad or something, but because druid has so many good even cost cards, the upgraded hero power is not good enough to offset the restriction.
The upgraded Druid Hero Power might seem underwhelming but I think we must change our mind regarding the hero powers .
The last time we could get upgraded hero power was with Justicar, the upgrade hero power would not come down until at least turn 6 .
The druid hero power or mage for example since they are very similar, looks underwhelming after turn 6 .
However in an Odd deck, the upgraded hero power doing 2 on turn 2 can already help a lot with board control .
This is something we need to really keep in mind I think.
With all that said, a 4/8 taunt on five , plus the fact you are able to hero power for 2 damage , that might put a big wall in front of you .
I agree with you generally.
But my issue with Baku and the Upgraded Druid Hero Power is that the Death Knight Hero Power is directly comparable. They're both basically the same hero power. Except Malfurion is probably better, and still comes down relatively early in the game. But Malfurion doesn't have deck building restrictions.
While Baku in something like Mage let's you bridge to Jaina, at which point you're playing a different game, so the change in Hero Power doesn't matter. We all agree that DK Jaina's hero power is much better than Malfurions. To me Baku makes sense there.
A 4/8 taunt on 5 is nothing to scoff at. Especially because it keeps its attack, unlike Tar Lurker. But is it kind of payoff reason you WANT to play Baku in Druid?
Big taunt minions generally don't make it into the meta (unless they have powerful effects like Voidlord), and the downside looks pretty painful for druid. Hard to see this making it...
Malfurion is so good already without requiring you to build your deck around him and who doesn't synergize with the improved hero power. It'd be really surprising to see any version of Druid play this, at least until Malf rotates.
Maybe the Beast Tag comes into play? Seems kind of underwhelming otherwise. Battlecry won't trigger with Hadronox.
A 4/8 for 5 with taunt that comes back with Hadronox (even as a 2/6) is definitely good.
Also not sure the upgraded Druid Hero power is worth it.
I think it definitely is. All the 2 damage hero powers (Mage, Rogue, Druid) are pretty much worth it just because 2 damage beats so many popular 1 and 2 cost drops. And it loses value after turn 7 or 8 or so, so it's definitely still worth running Malfurion anyway.
A 5 mana 4/8 Taunt isn't usually worth it in most matchups. It doesn't kill control decks at all and your deck has better even cards to deal with aggro like Spreading Plague or Swipe or Wrath or even Ultimate Infestation. Without any other removal, the 2 damage hero power is not enough and you lack ramp to get into turn 5 from Jade Blossom (rotating) and Wild Growth (even). With the current wording it would not regain the +2/+2 stats from Hadronox, and there aren't any other good cards to play with it that aren't even cost. You could justify Tar Creeper but the better taunts like Stonebark are 4 mana, and therefore not playable in this deck.
4/8 Taunt for 5 with the restriction of not being able to play wild growth, wrath, swipe, oaken summons, ironwood golem, and a host of other cards that make druid good.... very underwhelming

Stupid me forgot that we had Malfurion that would override the hero power .
I am ready to bet we will get a 3 mana ramp however . I am very curious to find out what the set has in store for Druid .
But yeah , a deck that would want to get a upgraded hero power would want to go late game and play Malfurion .
We will be able to make a much more educated guess on the playability of this card once we see more of Witchwood.
Is a 5 mana 4/8 taunt good? well 12 stats plus taunt instead of 11 stats vanilla so it's slightly higher on the power curve than what a good vanilla 5 cost card would have... It's just is it good enough to get rid of all the even cost cards in your deck considering you got things like Spreading Plague and Ultimate Infestation and Wild Growth and Wraith and Swipe and Branching Paths and... I'll just leave those really high powered cards that you can't play with this one.
pre-nerf Spreading Plague will be awesome for odd-cost decks.

its a good card but would u really cut wild growth and swipe for this? no, never in any situation would u do that

Your early game is your hero power. Provides healing and decent spot removal.
But I agree with others that it's probably not worth cutting because of UI and Wild Growth. Though you still have Nourish and Sprite available.

no shit, of course you can't imagine this deck. They've released like 10 cards total. jesus
Good, but not good enough, so its bad.
No shit, of course I can't, because the mechanical issues are apparent and troubling.
