Pretty much the same as everybody else in this thread, I've been willing to pay to see pirate packages removed from decks. It's obviously not unplayable and helps early game if you somehow manage to throw together a competitive pirate deck (lol) but aside from that, RIP.
well, considering the fact, that Patches the Pirate is a legendary, this nerf is just not cool. a legendary card should simply have some cool, unusual stuff and after the nerf, Patches the Pirate just has a recruit-effect
By this nerf Patches the Pirate will become useless, I think. In the early game it also means a kind of benefit (board control) even though it will not be a "full-value" card without Southsea Captain. So 1600 dust.
Ok this nerf gives less interest in this card, but just from a statistical point of view, reducing the number of cards of your deck just enhances your chances to draw useful cards on the turns after. This is already OP enough.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Hearthstone player since the beginning, I'm more of a control decks player, but like strong combos too. I prefer to play in wild, as it offers a wider variety of decks.
Trying to present some decks that I like, and to share this with you. Feel free to check it whenever you want!
FUCK U PATCHES U DESTROYED 14-15 months of this game
but jade idol should be honestly fixed it destroyed control meta for a long long time
IMO Patches the Pirate was not enough strong to destroy the game. A well-built Jade Druid or Quest Warrior could easily win against a Pirate Warrior or Rouge.
Im a F2P player but i play rogue alot including pirates and new oil rogue with kingsbane. Is patches worth keeping? I really could use the dust especially with a rotation coming up.
Man blizzard was early with this nerf!

Bye bye Patches the Pirate
They waited too long for the nerf, as soon as the card started showing in warlock or non-weapon classes the need for nerf was obvious.
Should be changed to Battlecry: Gain charge. Otherwise its a mediocre card when pulled by pirate and hands down worst topdeck in the world
Good to see that aggro won't be the boring old pirate package + the best cards at the moment in wild

Has someone played Patches after the nerfs? Does he have a new voice line?
Keeping Patces for Aggro Druid.
Never feel so good dusting a card before. :)
GO TO HELL CURSED PIRATE!!!
Dust him, if you feel like you want some other card/s craft them, if not, recraft him ezpz
I forget to swing with him anyways on turn 1 so we're not losing a whole lot here lol
Yes, I absolutely agree.
