Did you guys all forget that every hunter will be running double Shaky Zipgunner this expansion? You can expect this to be a 4 mana 4/3 most of the time. I think Trogg Beastrager will make a comeback as well. Don't forget there is also the sick synergy between Shaky Zipgunner and Saronite Chain Gang!
Damn I think you're right about the trogg. Early game non-beast that buffs your midrange beasts so you can gain that explosive midrange tempo.
This card is good, how can anyone say otherwise? "It can be played around" so what? Almost everything can be played around, they aren't useless because of it. You can even play this proactively when your opponent's board is empty against many heroes.

I don't think you understand how different a spell effect is versus a deathrattle. There is a reason why Mind Control cost 10 mana while Sylannus costs 6 mana. The fact that your opponent has influence on when you can activate a board clear on their turn is a huge deal. There is no surprise factor.
if it gets to attack it's a delayed swipe actually it's quite potent it's good it has low HP because you want it to be easy to trigger can see this play being played, seems to be underestimated with enough 2 dmg AOEs hunter might become a good controllish midrange class
A bat and an Explosion Trap in one card.. Some KFT minions have weird stats though.
Is this enough for Play Dead? Dunno.. One ping kills it so easily. It seems to be good with Houndmaster, ironically 4 mana IS the Houndmaster slot. I can see it for arena.
Don't mean any of these would be OP, but maybe worth considering? Since the sad state of hunter's AoE so far, Bombat at least is something, and with a little creativity perhaps it'll be worth running.

You do realize that since it's a minion Spell Damage will have no effect on its Deathrattle right?
Too easy to play around, the opponent will just suicide their small minions before killing this, it provides no pressure, and at 1-health it dies to A LOT of things.
i dont care about statline,in fact a strong deathrattle effect in small body is good design because in will easier to trigger and opp will hesitated to trade but this card is really overcosted
Explosive Trap is 2 mana Consec because its kind of reactive card,you opp can play around by buff or play eggs to get value.This card is Explosive Trap (2 mana) + 2/1 body (1 mana) so why it isnt 3 mana ? Is beast tag really worth 1 mana ?

It's because of all the deathrattle synergy mainly.
Play Dead combos with this to make a discounted two-card flamestrike. N'zoth resummons it. Abombinable resummons it. You can handbuff it, Houndmaster it.
IMO it should have been a 3/2 but I can understand their reasoning.

I mean this card can be pretty good with the trigger deathrattle effects which hunter will have two viable one's in standard. sorry princess

In and by itself is between OK-ish and meh. In combination with other cards could be good (and I don't mean just combo in the strict meaning).
Some possibilities have been mentioned already, like Zombeast component or Play Dead target. But let's not stop there:
