It may seem like meh, but really in an elemental mage, ALL elementals gain lifesteal for the rest of the game. just don't play the card if you have no board or behind in tempo.
* And we don't even know what her power yet. who knows.*
Lord Jaraxxus: 9 Mana. Set your Life to 15. Battlecry: Equip a 3/8 weapon
This is what Jaraxxus would look like if he were a Hero Card. Does that look appealing to you? No? Because if you look at Jaraxxus in a vacuum, he doesn't look all that great.
Now obviously we know Jaraxxus's value. That 6/6 every turn for two mana goes a long way, and that's despite being capped at 15 health.
The moral of the story is that trying to evaluate this card in a vacuum is pointless. Whether or not this card works will have to be seen.
I think this is obviously NOT fake. The art is unique and I think that someone would have noticed by now if it was taken from somewhere else. The video for the add is very convincing, too. And the card text is uniquely different from what people usually do with fakes, when they copy the norm (most likely would have faked a super strong card with a new hero power based on Rexxar).
People are saying this is too weak and too slow. That may be true, though this could potentially be a game-ender as well. If you have one or three Elementals out against aggro you'll regain a lot of health and may lock out the game. I think think the cost for the card may be justified at 9, 8 would be too strong. While Rexxar gains infinite value with his, he still needs to pay a high cost for an unreliable effect. Jaina instead gains a lot of tempo boost after playing this card, since the effect itself doesn't cost her anything and her Elementals gain significant value. Lifesteal is NOT to be underestimated! I love what they did with this card, it isn't an obvious powerhouse and still doesn't feel useless. It encourages an Elemental control deck while I feel it won't be automatically stronger then other mage control decks.
So my conclusion is that this is ~95% real and that it's an interesting card, but requires a lot of experimentation and the right meta to work. Voted "Playable".
how could anyone possibly be voting on this if we don't even know the hero power
Mage is a spell based not minion based class. It rarely ever manages to generate good boards (...) considering how difficult it is to keep a board as a Mage. (...) unless the Hero Power is completely broken...
you sound like someone who has never played elemental mage, which is a heavily minion-based tempo deck that uses cards like frostbolt and flamecaller to push tempo until you can kill your opponent with large elementals and burn from hand.
also, "unless the hero power is completely broken" is exactly my point. considering that the card is ice-themed, it's completely likely that the hero power is a targeted damage+freeze, which would be completely broken. play jaina while you have a few elementals on board to heal out of burn range, then freeze your opponent out of the game with your hero power.
Dunno, seems too slow. Mages mostly play freeze, quest or spell heavy decks. But this card is like a child of Hallazeal the Ascended and Reno Jackson. If u have elemental board u can heal really fast. Even if not, play 1 mana elemental with new hero and next turn play Blazecaller - deal 5 dmg, heal 5 health and a 6/6 body with lifesteal. I also hope they will add more elementals for mage.
Don't know why there are so many "seems very bad" comments since we only see half of the card. The value of this card really depends on the new hero power. If it is summon a Water Elemental for example this card would be very good. This would be Jaraxxus + 1 free summon with quite strong summons. 3/6 minions with freeze and lifesteal effect should be quite usefull, especially since your remaining elementals would also get the lifesteal buff. Round 9 isn't to slow for mage + Jaraxxus was great too (it only sucks at the moment because Warlock sucks at the moment in standard) If it is 2 mana "summon a Water Elemental" this card will be meta defining good, and a new controll mage archetype which doesn't rely on burst. If it is something similar like the hunter ability "Create a Zombemental" than this card will be trash tier.

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
Yeah I really don't believe this is real. If on the off chance it is, I could really see this being played over medivh in control mage depending on the hero power.
(Note: Written before the hero power was revealed. The opinion below is probably outdated)
Really really slow, but that effect will be good long-term against midrange decks. Lifesteal on Blazecaller or Ragnaros the Firelord is really solid.
I honestly can't see this being playable. It's way too slow so it's useless against aggro, and you can't heal over 30, so it's pretty useless against control.
[Insert usual disclaimer here]
Agreed it's slow and atm doesn't seem very playable... however we must remember we still don't know about most of the new cards, so that might change soon enough.
What if they released a card which lowers the cost of this? Or what if this time the meta slows down for real? I know, it's becoming a sort of running joke... "dream on, the meta will never slow down", etc. ... but since we're still speculating... ;)
About the "you can't heal over 30" bit: true, but it's not that unusual for Mage to be pretty low on health by late game, Ice Block & Ice Barrier notwithstanding. If the game drags on, this could allow for some useful HP recover, no?
Agree with a lot of the comments here that the artwork looks off given what we've seen so far, so could be fake.
However, if it is real, my money's on the new HP being deal damage + freeze a character. The amount of damage done will determine whether it's playable or not - 3 damage = strong, 1 damage = trash.
No way that this is real, just look at that shitty non-matching art.
Rexxars card art completely matches the art style on the big picture, with blue eyes and green details on armor. Jainas art is:
Crap Not detailed enough (no chain, different sword, no blue eyes, no purple patch of hair)
Check out the quest cards, tho done by different artists, the art style is consistent. this is very fake.
Huh? Are we seeing the same art? The armor is the same, the hair is very similar, she has the same Crystals in her hair. Similar sword and high quality art. Because they are so similar it's highly unlikely they found this art from another game or source, so they must have drawn it themselves. So your theory is that someone made a HUGE effort in drawing a high quality variant of the art that Blizzard released to a fake, but didn't bother to replicate the purple bit of her hair? Why would they not? I think that this comparison you show prove that it's not fake but rather two different interpretations of the same concept. One artist made the variant with all heroes, while another artist uses a different style to draw the specific hero art.
I can bet almost anything that this card is from an official source. Keep in mind that this could be an alpha variant of a card and have either its art or text revamped. But I find that a bit unlikely too. It's more likely that the art consisting all the heroes is a former interpretation that has been updated.
Personally I love the art on the hero card. It looks badass and have more of a serious and undeathy feel to it then the art we saw earlier.
Edit: If you're complaining about the art lacking in quality, also remember that the source that leaked is not of perfect resolution. The full-quality art may look a lot more impressive.

Well it would not be so bad even with 1 damage. With Coldarra Drake you can keep large minions at bay for a long time.

3 damage and freeze would be positively insanely op, while 1 damage and freeze would just be op. Its essentially disabling any big minion your opponent plays for the rest of the game.
I think its more probable to be elemental-themed. Perhaps as basic as discovering elementals or buffing them somehow.

Pretty sure it's fake.
Why would they do such a shitty artwork for hero card.

The biggest quetion here is what is her heropower. May be she will summon 6-6 elemental for 2 like jaraxusm then it will be viable for control meta.
Most likely we should compare it with jaraxus
