The reward may be freakishly strong, but even so this looks bad. Buffs are situational with built-in card disadvantage: Their main value is tempo, but now embedded in a deck that needs to go long?
Out of interest: do we know if casting smugglers run count towards this, or is it solely spells cast on minions on the board?
Well, it does say "On your minions" not "On minions in your hand". You know how they like to be specific like that. So, my guess is, just what's on the board.
Not at all playable. I'm usually pretty optimistic when it comes to new cards/mechanics, but I just can't see how you could possibly make a buffadin that doesn't struggle to survive against even basic decks. Putting even as few as 6 buff cards in your deck would already gimp you pretty hard, with a very low chance of actually ever seeing the quest reward. Putting >6 buff cards in your deck would pretty much guarantee that you wouldn't survive to the late game, even against the slowest of decks. And even if you did manage to survive long enough to earn Galvadon, then what? It's a very mediocre quest reward for as difficult as the quest is to complete.
If Galvadon and/or Buff Pally are even slightly viable on ladder, I will eat my hat.
It seems odd that the reward for this quest is just a pile of stats and doesn't do anything to sustain you for the rest of the game. But this getting access to stealth is a big deal and in combination with windfury and attack buffs can just end the game. I think this card will be a lot stronger than it looks but even then its hard to say if it's worth building an entire deck around.
I think people are underestimating how good Adapting 5 times will be, especially since you're likely going to land "can't be targeted by spells or abilities" on it. You're likely to get something that looks a lot like Soggoth the Slitherer.
The quest is really disappointing though. The only existing spell that is really playable is Blessing of Wisdom, and *maybe* kings. The way I see it, divine shield will be essential to keeping your things alive long enough to cast spells on. So maybe Hand of Protection too. That's still a pretty garbage topdeck though. UGH. COME ON BLIZZ MAKE PALLY GREAT AGAIN.
Equality and Smuggler's Run that makes 4 you only need 3 at most you can use Hammer of Wrath to complete quest as a last resort on a silver hand if you are lucky than you can summon Galvadon in order to win you don't have to push for it.

I don't know for sure yet, but I'm willing to bet that equality and smuggler's won't count because they don't target your minions.
The biggest majority says this imo. If its it's a card that can be hard countered by "x" then it's a bad card (especially cards nobody is using like black knight or mass dispell lel), that's the logic i see by the majority here.
And being the worst reason is still a reason. No reason why i shouldn't want to poke fun at it.
this is not good, the reward feels underwhelming and the quest is too hard. there was such an amazing chance for paladin quest but no. I am so dissapointed.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
The card only says "cast 6 spells on your minions". Lets be honest, that's not too hard to do... especially if hand buffing is considered.
It's not. There are already many existing cards that talk about casting spells "on" them, and they all only work or trigger when the spell targets them specifically. Hand-buffing will not work.
We don't know it yet tho we only saw minion interactions yet this is a quest
What does that have to do with anything? The mechanical description already exists. That's like asking if the Hunter Quest is going to count tokens summoned by other cards. We already know how that mechanic works for everything else, and there's no reason to think it'll work any different for quests. Everywhere else in the game, summoning something does not trigger effects that would trigger when you play something, so we can expect the same for the Hunter quest. Everywhere else in the game, casting a spell on something means targeting it specifically, so we can expect the same for the Paladin quest.
How do you assume that quest counting mechanic is similar. By the way you are missing a point all cards you are talking about have a specific description written. Djinni of Zephyrs as you see it specifically says on a friendly minion. Friendly minion means your minion on board also a friendly minion describes only single minion. But this quest says on your minions.
idk, maybe Paladin will be getting an Explorer's Hat equivalent. Even so, this seems like a really weak quest compared to some of the others we've seen. Imagine completing this quest just to get hard countered by Deadly Shot or Devolve. uninstall the game on the spot.
Would only happen if the deck is good AND popular. You don't see people running eater of secrets even though it destroys Reno and freeze Mage for instance because they aren't popular decks.
I disagreed with you, I think this card is crap and in case I'm wrong people would just fill their decks with cards that easily counter buffed minions.

You do not truly know someone, until you fight them.....
I'll pass on this one. Reward is not even close to good enough for how bad your deck needs to be for this to work.

Reno did require playing sub optimal cards too so it's not impossible that this is good.

Even better idea: Small-Time Recruits synergy with Runic Egg. Very efficient cycle for the quest!
"Put 'em all in", they said. "You gon' be ballin", they said.
Paladin is so dead. RIP in pepperoni.
For those concerned with Galvadon adapting stealth Streetwise Investigator or Mass Dispel

Looking @ new "legendary" palladin cards is just...
Disturbing? Sad? Gross?

Cool card.
Fun card.
