@BrokenCycle; Mysterious Challenger did look a lot more promising admittedly... but the point still remains a lot of people thought fun/bad cards could never work and then we end up with stuff like Yogg/Shaku/Finja seeing competitive play. I feel like we've been down this road so much that I've just started predicting that if Hearthpwn thinks it's a god awful design that will never see play, it's worth giving serious consideration.
It's possible this is a bad card and Hearthpwn peeps are right, but unlike hand buffing I think this is a lot less problematic of an archetype to make work. Like if they print one more solid buff spell I could see this being pretty decent with the token generating cards, with the gameplan that you just buff dudes all game.

By the way if you want buff cards to be effective just use bunch of stealth minions really when it is combined with a minion that survive the turn buff cards provide equal value with Charge minions.
This is not about minions surviving a turn. This is about a paladin surviving a turn. Blessing of Kings costs 4 mana. On 4th turn pirate warrior already eating your face away. On Dinosize turn jade train is in unstoppable mode.
Oh man I understand what you mean Pirate warrior is a fun killer.
I am so upset. I was hopeful when I was Sunkeeper Tarim, but it turns out my favorite class is just going into the Buff, aggro, zoo dumpster. Why not N'Zoth Control Paladin. I am so mad...
The only arguable support card released for Paladin in the last two expansions is the newDinosize, which is hardly support at 8 mana. I think there is a 100% chance that we see at least one if not two powerful cheap minion buffs and/or a some kind of spell draw/production card as the last cards are revealed. Otherwise, Blizzard must just hate Paladin with a passion.
So far weve seen some great token synergy for paladin. Spells go great with tokens paladin can produce aswell as his other minions like wickerflame or new released spell creating tokens.
Although paladin buffs doesnt produce much value they are sure great way to gain tempo. Paladin also has great way to draw cards with new released 3 mana draw 3x 1 drops and meanstreet marshall. So by producing as much tempo in favour of value this one finisher at the end will be usually enough to end the game.
Remember the times of mysterious challenger when it was the same case.
This card is weak sauce compared to the other quests that have been revealed until now. I was expecting this to be the non-quest legendary, but seeing this as the reward makes me think, why Adapt 5 times though? It seems weak.
All last expansion dedicated to hand buffing, sow the Paladin quest makes that useless. You can't play hand buff and spell buff at the same time
If the adapt choice is considered a spell played on minion it might help complete this quest if there are enough neutral minions with Adapt to make that work. Might be a cheap way to solve the problem...

Don't tell me they don't count because they are bad cards, you just mentionned Gadgetzan Ferryman for rogues.
Seems to me that you hate paladin more than blizzard do. It's okay. But please don't try to make everyone join your hate train with lies and misinformation.
I said "in the last two expansions." Do you really think Blizzard made Divine Strength thinking "this will be a great spell to use for the Quest we're going to release in a year?"
As a former paladin main, I am a bit disappointed with this quest reward. The other quest rewards revealed so far change the way the decks play for the rest of the match. I do think the card is being underrated at the same time, however. The card is able to set up lethal if you grab the three extra attack, wind fury, and some sort of protection (preferably stealth). On the next turn you can cast Blessed Champion on it and deal a whopping 32 damage.
I think it's possible to do something great with this quest with the cards we have now, and maybe better with some cards we will see this week:
When Mysterious Challenger or Anyfin Can Happen arrived, how many players said " wow these cards will gave us this kind of deck with this and this, you play this and put this and then you will have a powerful deck, you will see ;-) "?
But after that, some good deck builders gave us powerful list for "abuse" these mechanics. Same thing will happen with The Last Kaleidosaur.
Ok so we had the Paladin dragon synergy which never worked, we have the heal cards which never were enough because of t5 lethal meta, we had the handbuff cards which never worked and now we got a buff secret which is anti-synergy to the latest handbuff cards. Lets put in some half baked silver hand recruits synergy just for the lols.
Well done.
this. sad but true

yee but not handbuffs... Pretty sad.
It seems that everyone forgot that this option exists Liquid Membrane
not stealth true, but every other adapt choice it does silence

There have been 6 quests revealed so far. All of them have come with new early-game (4 mana or less) support or got great early-game support in MSG.
Priest got Tortollan Shellraiser, Mirage Caller and Crystalline Oracle in Un'Goro
Hunter got Alleycat in MSG and Small Raptor and Tol'vir Warden in Un'Goro (yes its 5 mana, but card draw is worth it)
Warlock got Lakkari Felhound and Clutchmother Zavas in Un'Goro
Rogue got Gadgetzan Ferryman in MSG and Mimic Pod in Un'Goro
Shaman only got 1 card in MSG, Call in the Finishers, but its about as good a support card as you can get for that quest

i expected something like summon 25 silver hand recruits.
but to me all those quests and the set in general looks like theyre pushing wild. most cards are bad in standard.

Maybe someone will try a control deck, with the same core of Anyfinladin, you heal, you clear, you draw, you survive... and you play only a small amount of buffs (Blessing of Might, Divine Strength, Blessing of Wisdom for example?) and Mukla, Tyrant of the Vale, maybe with Ivory Knight for more buffs choices, maybe with Wickerflame Burnbristle. And then you finish the quest against an opponent who run out of steam, and you win with Galvadon.
You don't see how to play well this card? Don't panic, someone else will find, and you will play this deck in ladder.
