i feel like it's a great card, but it also pushes Priest away from its strong dragon decks. with Chillmaw being rotated, there is no deathrattle synergy to speak of
this card would have been insane during GvG with dark cultist, nerubian egg, etc
This card will not be meta simply because of N'Zoth. Blizzard stated that they don't want to make powerful deathrattle minions in fear of N'Zoth being too powerful. I doubt Blizzard would make useful deathrattle minions in this expansion, just look at Pyros: low stats for its cost that would probably never see play.
Too bad if you play this on turn 1 you are going to die on 4-5 against the Smorc.
Why so many people say this bullshit ? Are you all trolling at the same time, or genuinely convinced that priest dies on turn 4 against aggro ? Have you ever played priest ? Have you ever built a deck and tech against aggro ?
I've won countless games as priest vs aggro, doing nothing on turn 1-2-3. Stop trolling now everyone, or learn to play. Thank you very much.
And let's also not ignore the fact that priest has pain, potion of madness, holy smite, pyro combo wombo, etc to annoy aggro in the early game if need be.
That isn't a wombo combo and you aren't going to consistently have those pieces in your early game hand either.

How can you say look st pyros when we don't know what mage synergies we are getting for elementals hell we don't know what neutral synergies we are getting...

When you build a priest deck and tech vs aggro you tend to lose more to control and midrange
So far I really like the idea of Quest cards, but this particular Quest (IMO) is not that good even the hype is real. The fact we are seeing this quest first indicates there will be better quest than this one. Blizzard usually does not show the best new content in the first announcement. I am afraid the meta will not slow down significantly enough to make this card relevant in a standard format, wild is a different story tho. Can't wait to see more Quests revealed. I highly doubt this one will make Priest dominant.
This card is interesting.. and over-hyped by quite a few in this thread. In no way meta-defining in my opinion. Fun? Hell yes. But in standard it will be strictly bad unless priest gets a ton of defensive deathrattles. Why? Because the card is close to dead if you mulligan it away from your starting hand. This means that you have one less card to look for strong plays/answers when you keep it. People are arguing that you have nothing else to play on turn 1 - true! But you will also have one less card to make impact in the early game - which is extremely important! IMO this is a fun win-more card and definitely not meta-defining.

1) Please read the entire discussion so that people dont have to repeat points. Priest can beat aggro with poor openers too. This doesnt even include cards like mistress of mixtures which also help against aggro.
2) Thats a good chunk of cards. You may not have them EVERY time, but you will have them consistently enough to do well against aggro.
3) You havent seen a good priest player if you dont believe in the pyro wombo combo.
I love the "Quest" idea, it might be the best/funniest idea ever for Hearthstone, but this card, It's terrible. People won't play it in any high-ranking decks, watch me be correct suckers.
I don't get it. If you complete the quest - you get Amara just for one current game or simply forever?
This is the real question about quest spells.
Definitely into your hand. You could think of it like C'thun. You start each game with a fresh version to work on. If you build it up high enough, you get a proper reward, but like C'thun, it's only for the duration of the game, and it starts over again next game.

So, when a warrior uses Dead Man's Hand, what does that actually mean in terms of flavor? Is he the dead man? Does he cut off his own hand? Is that why he has Tentacles for Arms? Does he think that tentacles are actually as good as arms?
These reasons and more are why I think warriors are more mysterious than people give them credit for.

I believe it works like Alex because she has the same card text.
Highest rank is rank 2 four stars. Got there with my own deck not a net deck.

Where shall I start...

Aaaaaaand you're still dead on 5...

55% voted meta-chaning, seriously?

Always rank 15-20.
Dude, you get it that game.
