Frost Lich Jaina. The power level of control mage has increased since most of the aggro decks are gone (at least on EU. They are still there, but lessened).
I saw in your post the argument of deck thinning. Deck thinning is not something you should look at and you should try to ignore these kind of terms unless you run combo decks. Patches was never inserted in combo decks as they generally use card draws instead of Patches. So Patches never thinned the deck.
If you are thinning a deck, you are looking for specific cards. I doubt you did that. But even if you did, there are whole maths about the % of chance you get when you look for 1 or more specific cards in Magic the Gathering.
Attached to this post, you'll find an image that someone made on the MtG Reddit that shows the probability chances. So only from 10 cards left, you'll see a reason for thinning your deck realistically. But then you already long played Patches (hopefully).
Another help; this is an article that goes very deep. It's kinda boring if you are not interested or not that good in algebra, but it tells a lot.
Also, Reynad made a video a year ago about Patches and the term "thinning". While it's a bit provocative, he also explains more what Patches did. Start from 9:14.
That is just a lie. He gave Patches 5 stars. Can't believe how many upvotes this has.
I looked it up and you are right. I won't edit the post, so that your reply stays relevant. But the content stays the same, Trump's theorycrafting is as good as anyone else's.
Every priest card from Un'goro - 1 star (here comes the Priest review of him that he simply state that priest won't see play, so he rates everything 1 star. Jokes on him).
Seeing as the last 3 expansions, Trump was wrong on nearly everything on both card ratings and theorycrafting (giving Patches a 2 star is the best highlight ever), you better not start crafting cards for this.

Remember Call of the Wild? It was extremely strong at 8. Once it became 9 mana, it barely ever saw play again.

They have stated at one point somewhere that if Molten Giant gets moved to the Hall of Fame sometime, they will consider un-nerfing it.

More to do with Michelle Morrow than with the picture imo.

Swapped out one Bluegill Warrior for an Old Murk-Eye. First try.

the expansion is not even 1 week old and people are already calling out for nerfs. Seriously, Ultimate Infestation is a fair card, it's not OP at all.

From Journey to Un'goro alone, he gave the following cards a wrong rating.
Jungle Giants - 4 stars
Tortollan Forager - 4 stars
Elder Longneck - 3 stars
Living Mana - 1 star
Giant Anaconda - 1 star
The Marsh Queen - 5 stars
Raptor Hatchling - 5 stars (although this was probably with the Marsh Queen in mind)
Tol'vir Warden - 5 stars (again, see The Marsh Queen above)
Arcanologist - 3 stars
Steam Surger - 4 stars
Primordial Glyph - 2 stars
Hydrologist - 3 stars
Spikeridged Steed - 3 stars
Sunkeeper Tarim - 2 stars
Every priest card from Un'goro - 1 star (here comes the Priest review of him that he simply state that priest won't see play, so he rates everything 1 star. Jokes on him).
Yes, even Lyra the Sunshard he rated 1 star.
Are those enough examples or do I need to keep going?

Also, missing Arfus
Edit: genericuser1 rectified me, Trump gave Patches a 5 star rating.

Honestly, I can't agree more. Deathlord was a pretty powerful and used card, so I think this card will see play.
