But if you remember, when The old gods just released we all got C'Thun for free and forever (and even without an opportunity to dust it). If you like the idea of empowering it - work it on, if not - just leave it in your collection. So the story seems a bit similar here.
wow, people are reeeeeaaaally overestimating this card. Lemme explain you why it's bad.
The reward you get is very good against aggro, but to unlock it you'll need at least 10 turns (aka the entire game) most of the time, playing 7 deathrattle minions definetely takes some time. Also you effectively play with one card less which is really costly against aggro. And on top of that you'd often prefer reactive plays over just slamming minions when playing against aggro. Once you get the reward you won the game, but getting there will be really hard and playing for that goal diminishes your chances of surviving (because of one card less, and your first turn being occupied).
Against control, you can afford to keep the quest, but the reward you get really isnt that consequential. An 8/8 and full health, well, most control opponents dont really care about that in the lategame. If the reward card was targetted at improving your control match-ups, I think it would be really good, but that's not the case. As stated above, it's anti aggro, but on the same time hurts your pre-reward-card game a lot, and this inherent anti-synergy is what makes this card bad.
The only way I see this being playable is if we get 1) a bunch of insane cards for N'zoth Priest 2)a meta primarily consisting of midrange and/or combo decks.
I think you're overestimating how difficult it will be to SUMMON 7 deathrattle minions. You don't have to play them from hand (in other words, this card benefits big time from Resurrect and Onyx Bishop).

Also I think that they will give priest some more support when it comes to resurrecting minions and playing deathrattle cards. At the moment there just aren't a lot of great death rattle minions in standard once sylvanas leaves. Also its foolish to speculate on how good or bad the card is when we have no idea what the set is gonna look like. From a design perspective it looks really fun and cool, so its worth playing for sure.
Freeze mage is losing ice lance and Thaurissan, it's dead already. Also why would you run this card to deal with combo decks when they're so few and far between? I somehow doubt Blizz is adding more (intentionally) with this expansion so if that's the card's main purpose it seems unlikely it'll see play.
If Priest gets any Adapt cards or there are decent neutrals with Adapt, I think that would potentially make this card better (assuming the Deathrattle part of adapt counts towards the quest).

55% think this is meta-defining?! Same story as previous release where several Priest cards were supposed to crush meta and ended up being crap. Where do you even find 7 decent deathrattle cards? And beeing able to play them you might need at least 15. I can't see this work very often.
It's pretty clear that some good or decent/playable deathrattle minnons will be added to the game. Shifting Shade is not a bad card. It doesn't see play because it dies to easily, but the effect is great. That's two cards right there. Mistress of mixtures isn't a bad card for a slow deck.
The issue I see with this deck will be a solid win condition, as some have already mentioned. But I guess Nzoth counts lol, fatigue as well.
Looks good and fun to me, if the meta allows it.
Seems like Blizzard wants to add "skill" back into the game. However, if they print another OP 1 mana minion favouring aggro, then it will truly start the beginning of the end for HS.

This was the same opinion many had about Elise. This card could very well just turn out to be a secondary win condition.

We need to see the other cards for a conclusion, for now is unplayable.
Funny you say that because at the moment it looks better to me than I assume it will once I see the new aggro and mid-range tools. Right now it looks stellar in wild and usable in standard (because Shaman is rotating). The only obvious aggro decks atm are (warrior which took a hit to the early game) and Mid hunter (which I'm only assuming will be a thing because pirate early game isn't quite as potent).

A win condition is something that makes you win, this is a survival tool. And survival is kinda useless in the late game if you don't have threats. Elyse fills your hand and deck with legendaries at a game-state when both people exhausted their options, this one just gives you an 8/8.

...with taunt that puts your hero out of range of burst from warrior, mage, almost any combo deck, etc. It also helps to significantly slow fatigue. At 5 mana, you can play it with another reasonably sizable threat too.
Assuming Priest/Neutral get any love to replace the loss of Museum Curator for the deathrattle/N'Zoth deck, this will be meta defining. People complain "dead on turn 5 anyway" but I'd counter that priest is one of the best classes to crush pirate warrior with tons of early interaction for their board and the ability to regularly heal the loss of life. The biggest threat to this deck will remain Jade Golems, i.e. Lotus Druid who have such a backbreaking ability to punish these types of control decks.

This card is BEYOND BROKEN in wild .
The condition is super easy to achieve with so many good deathrattle minions and the effect is INSANE .
It's basically Reno Jackson on steroids without too much of a drawback .

N'zoth priest is a tier 3-4 deck, with this it will go to tier 1, that's why it's meta defining (in wild).
There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !
Elyse fills your hand and deck with legendaries at a game-state when both people exhausted their options, this one just gives you an 8/8.
Honestly, I get why people want this to be good - I do too! But sad reality is it'll be okayish in Wild and barely playable in Standard.
Unless, of course, couple STB's deathrattle cousins will be printed.

Balancing busted cards version 1.0.
ITT: We ignore everything but raw stats and evaluate the card anyways.
tl;dr - literal trash, quitting HS because of this one card.
