This card actually isn't that bad. It might have seen play back in the implosion/ voidcaller days but now zoo doesn't play too many demons.
It's a fair card, it will see some play in discolock, it's nice to have a "worst" card in hand that you're actually happy to discard.. I guess
But this card is hands the worst card in MSG because it only exists for one reason, giving a Cursed Blade to Kabal Chemist which, given its statline, doesn't need a cursed blade at all.
I don't think this is on the level of cursed blade bad, bc in later turn mana doesnt matter that much, so Priest and Mages gets some Aggro Value. And besides, potions look pretty strong overall, so i dont think Kabal Chemist wont see any play
Couldn't have been two mana? Couldn't make demons untragetable by spells? I like buff cards, but Warlocks always seem to get such crap ones. I HATE Warlocks because of Zoo, and I just want to be able to play a control lock (that's not handlock) like I could in GVG...
It's definitely decent enough to be considered in some decks. Gets a lot better if there's a decent 2 mana Demon in this set. Really good with the 1-drop 1/3 Demons like Malchezaar's Imp and Void walker.
I feel like a lot of people are really underestimating this card. Yeah, it's way more conditional than Blessing of Kings but it has to be. I'd argue that 3 mana give a minion +3/+3 is way better than 4 mana give a minion +4/+4 since the fact that it comes out a turn earlier is HUGE. Then there's also the fact that it's way easier for a Warlock to grab an early board than it is for a Paladin. If Warlocks had access to Blessing of Kings they would be disgustingly good. Maybe above Shaman tier even. This is almost sort of Blessing of Kings so I think it's pretty damn good.
Not a good card, but that's the nature of balancing around the Warlock hero power. Most of their class cards pay a bit of a toll as a result of having essentially the best hero power in the game, an this one's pretty blatant about it. Not unplayable in some sort of well-curved Demonlock, but it does dilute the potion pool a bit with a mediocre result. I'll see what other potions get released before writing Kabal Chemist's post-mortem, though.

Pretty bad off of Kabal Chemist tho...
Never heard of Demonfire, Demonheart? You know the better versions of this card, that never saw play?
I rate this alongside Potion of Polymorph. That is to say, it really wouldn't be that bad a card if it wasn't a potion. Since it is though, all it does is throw a wrench in possible Kabal Chemist RNG. If a Priest or a Warlock play Kabal Chemist and get a mage secret, it's no secret and easily played around. And now, if Mage or Priest get Bloodfury Potion, all we're getting is an extremely over-budget Blessing of Might.
I get it. I realize Blizzard doesn't want to make every potion viable for every situation. Otherwise, Kabal Chemist might end up being a bit too good. However, with the chemist already having under-budget stats and now has the chance of giving you bad potions, he's simply going to be restricted to arena and will never see play in constructed. And honestly, that's just sad for the new and unique tri-class cards.
3 Mana for a Blessing of Might is simply too much even with a conditional upside. I get how potentially this is too strong if you go turn 1 flame imp turn 2 this and then have a 6/5 on board (demonfuse powercreep kappa).
But not only is this fairly unimaginative in its design it's also atrociously balanced. Definitely the weakest card in this set so far heck I'd probably take any of the filler cards over this simply because at least they aren't poorly statted in their cost. This has no control synergy at all and why run it in Zoolock or a potentially new demonlock when the mana cost make it totally inhibitory?
Since reducing the manacost by 1 makes it entirely insane it should have been more akin to gain (I say tentatively) +5 health on a demon, instead of just being a conditional +3/+3 when Priest had a non-conditional +2/+4 with a huge upside of +1 Spellpower. Yes, Velens was one of their strongest cards but in comparison we can see that easily non-conditional 6 stats are possible for 3 Mana.
Should have been 2 mana, then it would be perfect. Even if this wasn't conditional and always gave +3 health, it still wouldn't be very good. At 2 mana the condition makes sense, and it would have been good demon synergy for once.
Fuck sake, make demon decks viable and stop giving Warlock's trash like this please Blizzard.
Completely trash on non-demons, but on demons it's about the equivalent of a Blessing of Kings. So if you can manage that very consistently, then it's a good card.
This also brings down the value of that potion generating minion from earlier.

Power overwhelming, demonfire, demon heart, this card is worse than them..
But you know how this card can be good? In a deck that already runs 2 demonfires for consistancy.
It's not great, at least Demonfire dealt some damage in a pinch, but it isn't a horrible replacement.

Just a better Demonfuse. Also similar to Blessing of Kings but for demons.
Choose One - Complain about the meta; or complain about RNG

This combines two pally buff cards, but combines the worse of two worlds.

Copied from Duelyst.
Only in Duelyst it's a good card hahaha
"Yeah, Brode? Call me back when your done screwing with this expansion. Cool? Ok, bye."

Finally Cho'gall is going to be playable!.. Says no one.
Potion nerf? Third bad card for Warlock.
Please go to the Kabal chemist card and lower it's rating
Ben Brode is scared of Warlocks and doesn't want them casting spells.
