posted a message on Disturbing lack of Legendaries

145 packs. 5 legendaries... duplicate warrior quest and Ozruk who, unlike other cards (quests) that may not end up being playable, isn't even interesting...

As if my life didn't suck enough already.

"Maybe too good", ha, yeah right. At least give it more health, come on...

Not a deathrattle is also super disappointing.

Whenever I get quests like that I am always surprised how easy it is to win, and it makes me depressed. I otherwise don't play aggro ever because I don't find it fun.

If you never spent a penny then how could you have been burned?  The only investment you have is the time playing the game, and I think the hours of entertainment you got from playing the game more than offset any loss you may be suffering because cards are rotating out.

Time is much more precious than money. Money could be replenished quite quick through labour and trade. But you can't do the same to time. There is no way money could buy you time.

Since a f2p player invests only their time in the game, they are paying with their most precious treasure. In other words, f2p players are actually playing the game the expensive way.  Thus, when it comes to format rotation,  f2p players should be more upset than paid players. Because they are losing more.

I would recommend people to buy adventures if they can. Because that is the less "expensive" way to enjoy the game.

It is time invested in a Hobby, though. The 'work' required to get the cards is playing the game, which is (hopefully) entertaining. If he isn't going to play wild, he could always DE all the wild cards. Furthermore, I haven't bought packs since GVG (Well, one batch of 15 TGT) and never feel like I am making gold too slow. I saved up about 5k gold for MSOG because I knew it was coming, and I am doing the same thing for the Un'Goro expansion, already over 1k. Just doing daily quests is plenty to get most meta-defining cards from dust if you plan ahead for each expansion, as well as a decent amount of fun ones.
In the end, Complete F2P players can get almost everything they want with some forethought, and are getting hundreds, even thousands, of hours of entertainment for free. It honestly feels more rewarding to earn the cards without paying cash, which is why I haven't in so long. In the end, I think it's rather petty to complain when the model HS uses is far from greedy, and perhaps one of the best F2P models I've ever seen.

posted a message on Thoughts on rogue healing card?

If I made a recuperate spell it'd probably be between 0-2 mana and restore 3 health per each card you've played, similar to VanCleef. It keeps the rogue theme, and can heal for a lot, but throwing down a ton of cards for it alone wouldn't be that great.

posted a message on Pack Filler Cards

Eventually they are going to run out of vanilla cards with stats that equate to each mana value. Any card that has some kind of effect is what I would consider not a pack filler, and this is about 90% of them. Everyone who is an idiot just jumps to the "Blizzard is greedy" bandwagon. If you have 132 cards and 30 are super powerful, of course the other 102 get overlooked, even though probably 80 are balanced with only a handful of truly awful ones.

posted a message on Max McCall Talks About Combo Decks and Why They Can Be Problematic

People responding Smorc is worse then Combo... lol...

Well, uh... actually they are right, but not by too much! The difference is Blizzard nerfs combo and doesn't nerf aggro. If it was the other way around, Combo would be what everyone was complaining about. In both cases the opponent has to sit back and know there is almost no circumstance in which they can win that involves skillfull playing. Against aggro you have to hope they draw poorly and you draw well. Against Combo... you have to hope they draw poorly and you draw well.

To a degree this is what any card game is about, but without interaction on your opponents turn, it is imperative  OTK (especially out-of-hand) combos never be too strong. Blizzard seems to understand this and I see it as the reason they always nerf combo first. I know I will get a lot of hate for this from snowflakes, but don't you dare think combo takes any extra skill beyond understanding interactions. Aggro barfs their hand out, Combo barfs their deck out, only difference.

Don't think this means I don't want combo around, I just want non-BS combos that you can in some way stop besides Smorcing your opponent before they do it. Aggro can pretty much go die in a fire though, because at least combos are fun to do when they are fair. SO, overall, I think Blizzard actually understands how combos are very easily escalated with Hearthstones small decks and small, capped health pools.
