One thought to all people telling about rotating archetypes. So we have Zoolock. Right from the beginning of the game. And it always was at liest tier 3 deck. And Blizzard keep supporting it. Why don;t you want to Zoolock to rotate out? Also: Renodecks are technically control decks. So maybe rotate CW, which armors up form the release of the game? Or rotate out Miracle Rogue? Or Malyshaman? Or Freezemage? Or Midrange Hunter? Reno was just unlucky enough not to be born with those decks but it doesn't mean that he deserves rotating out more than (most of the time) much less interactive Freeze Mage.

What make you think some of us don't want to see those archetypes rotate? Letting classic and basic sets permanent is just a matter of helping newbies not feel too overwhelmed because HS don't want to feel like all other card games where you either spend a shit ton of money of better not play at all. But those 2 sets are a hinderance for standard, and in the future people will see it and team5 will have to once again nerf/buff stuff and make "OP" card just to make classes switchs of archetypes.
I'm surprised how supportive people are about rotations since it only exist for Blizzard to make more money, and not the benefit of the playerbase.
Yeah, as it turns out, these guys won't just show up and make new cards for free. So, if you like new content and ongoing management of the game (rebalancing (lol), bug fixes, etc.), these guys are going to have to get paid for it.
Also, while I won't refute that rotations help drive profit from the game, they also provide a definite benefit to the player base. Periodically removing some cards from the game keeps the meta fresh, not from a month to month basis, but over a longer period of time. So, unless you wish you were still pretty much guaranteed to always see T4 Shredder or Death's Bite, Paladin's overall perfect curve into MC, and good old Dr. Boom every time the mana clock hits 7, you're deriving some benefit from the rotation.
They could rebalance those cards instead of leaving Wild to be a broken mess, as it stands Wild is only going to get more imbalanced as they throw every card into it with zero changes, and standard will continue to be aggro fest with less and less tools to fight it, I don't think either of these are great options.
You'll hear no dispute from me that some of the rotated cards should've been rebalanced and that Blizzard has failed utterly in providing an adequate neutral toolkit for control (the latter is an axe I've been grinding for sometime). But nerfing old cards doesn't change the staleness issue unless they go the Warsong route - either they'll still be so good that they see heavy play or Blizzard will just destroy the card. Since they can't make fractional changes to stats and mana costs, it's basically impossible to fine-tune the game.

No. The faster that cancer rotates out of Standard, the better
Hello there salty aggro player who says control decks are cancerous because you cant smorc them :/ learn to play mate
Ugh, I hate this argument. Guys, Reno isn't good against aggro. Why do you think we don't see very many Reno decks in standard with all the aggro you see in standard nowadays? Because games that end at around turn 7 do not make it easy for you to draw and play Reno, and even if you do you're still going to get burst down in another 5 turns.
I guess you dont play reno decks (especially warlock), and its still very good (at least i have a very good winrate with it) the main problem is it always costs around 10k dust and you can make 5 smorc instead, and since 90% of hs players care more about winning no matter how than having fun (what should be the main reason since its a game, and it cant be marked as competitive with the huge amounts of rng) they will netdeck that 5 aggro deck to get that mighty legend.
Sorry, what? Are you saying that all the people playing expensive Reno decks suddenly lost their collection? Or all those people just stopped playing the game? They didn't all go to wild, I would know. Your claim that Reno decks are expensive is not a valid argument for why nobody plays them in standard right now. The only reason why a deck would stop seeing a lot of play is that it stopped being a high tier deck. The major change after standard hit was the meta became overall more aggressive. Therefore, I think it's reasonable to say Reno decks aren't as good in an aggro meta.
Please don't, make ways to survive with a control deck that doesn't involve putting crap in your deck , and not having a solid game plan like reno decks.

Freeze mage worked before reno and will work after reno, and if you want to play an old archetype, you can, just play Wild. This thread is just useless now, I wish I could silence threads.

The "unsubscribe" button under Tools works quite well for this.
I think Reno Jackson has such a great design, and he deserves to be the first card that moves set. I know Blizzard has never done anything like this before, and thematically it doesn't make much sense to take Reno Jackson OUT of the LoE set, but the card offers a whole new archetype for all classes so that they can play a control-ish deck. Also, it allows cards that might not see much play have a time in the spotlight. So, yeah, what do you guys think? Would the game get too stale with Reno in it the whole time? Is he too frustrating to play against? Idk, tell me your thoughts.
EDIT: Sorry, I meant the Classic Set not the Basic Set
Some cards just need to rotate out so new decks can be made, even iconic ones as reno..
The cards that need to move to classic are those that are simple, tech or a key part of a tribe blizzard wants to keep in the game and making a new key part is just redundant (like the dragon synergy or mechs)
