Hello everyone! I am CountJinsula, a youtuber looking to make more Hearthstone related videos. I am looking for an honest discussion regarding Legendary minions in Hearthstone. I want to know what is your top 5 list when it comes to Legendaries? This could include their overall power, the coolness factor of their abilities, and overall what you love to play with or play against in ranked or arena games.
Dr. Boom: This card is absurd value, and if you wipe the board it can still deal 8.
Reno Jackson: This one legend has generated so many decks and left such an impact on the game.
Lord Jaraxxus: Making Warlock control so much more interesting, as well as mind games in the mirror when Sacrificial Pact can kill the enemy hero that is in Jaraxxus form.
Loatheb: Giving tempo and aggro and even control decks a counter to control decks.
Sylvanas Windrunner: Huge tempo play, that is mediocre on an empty board, thus the lower ranking.
Reno Jackson:God how much I hate him, though he's game changing and can win games on his own so he deserves the podium...
Lord Jaraxxus:The king of Control MUs deserves the 3rd spot,I bet both Control Warrior and Priest would love to see this card disappear......
Emperor Thaurissan:This thing surives 1 turn you most likely lost.... Insane value for Combo Decks.....
Alexstrasza:Ok here I might be I bit biased since I main Freeze Mage but Alex is so versatile and has such a unique ability that I think earns her the 5th spot.....
If we're talking about my favourite ones then it would be like this:
Sylvanas Windrunner:I just love this card,so many ways to use her especially in Priest and Warlock.... The combo with Shadowflame it's one of my favourite, soo mean..... "Such a nice huge valuable minion you've got there, would be a shame if something happened to it".....
Malygos:I felt attracted by this Dragon the day I read "Spelldamage +5" for the first time, ended up crafting it and don't regret it at all,OTKing those annoying Reno Decks feels too good.....
2. Bloodmage Thalnos (seemingly underwhelming, but has great value)
3. Vol'Jin (even though I dont play priest, hes an awesome card)
4. Illidan (If only he was viable)
5. Loatheb (Best battlecry in the game, youll be missed)
I haven't tried this but Illidan might be viable in a oil rogue deck or just a spell heavy rogue deck, use him instead of 1 violet teacher. Not only do you get tokens from playing minions as well as spells they're also stronger. That 6 mana cost for a 5 hp creature though. I'd try it if I had him :)
I always thought of putting him in my oil rogue deck too but hes so susceptable to BGH and with only 5 health hes kind of garbage. I was thinking maybe with the new miracle rogue with conceal hed be good but who knows.
5. Vol'jin Really cool effect, cool animations and sound bites, and I always really liked how the gold version of the car looked, gonna be sad to see him go when standard hits.
4. Ragnaros the Firelord The original must craft legendary, super powerful body with instantaneous effect that can win or lose games with proper RNG, "Diiiiieeeee Inseeeect!"
3. Nexus-Champion Saraad Cool theme to the card in terms of visuals and sound effects, can allow for impossible and wild solutions and answers in games, makes it a lot of fun.
2. Loatheb Arguably the most well designed legendary in the game, solid midrange body with a powerful, but not overbearing effect in terms of protecting your board state or delaying your opponent's spell combo from going off for a turn.
1. Archmage Antonidas From aggro to combo to control, the quintessential mage legendary. Has the ability to create overwhelming value when comboed correctly, but not in such an overbearing way as to automatically win or lose the game.
And an honorable mention to Dreadscale, which I think is one of the most under appreciated cards in the game for what it does and how useful it's effect can be.
1-Archmage Antonidas Like it for the the flagship of mage philosophy, for be a mage human char, and for all those fireballs that i could threw, thaks to him, to my opponents :)
2-Ragnaros the Firelord My first crafted legendarie. Now sees no much action but is still one of my comodin cards when i make decks.
4-Bloodmage Thalnos always wishing for see him coming from a pack so not be aobligated to craft him. ( didnt have him yet, always second in my craft list)
5-Ysera for a long time the card to craft. the same day i was to craft her she come from a pack that i need for the last 40 dust to craft her :)
And spetial mention for: Dreadscale this little bas***come from a pack and has been a lot of useful lately.
