I was just thinking about how amazing Death's Bite have been since the moment of its release. I could list the whys but I'm pretty sure everyone here know the reach this weapon gives to Warriors.
Personally I don't think there could be a better weapon than Death's Bite. I feel like the release of Cursed Blade is because Blizzard just cant come up with another warrior weapon without being strictly better than DB.
You think Blizzard is going to be able to add new cool weapons without being straight up better than Death's Bite? Any ideas what they could come up with? What can another weapon do that DB doesnt?
I think something is needed, because right now warrior is kinda in the dumps with only one competitive deck for ranked play (GP), and it's very meta-dependent. It's a class based on removal and stalling, and right now that is an impossible strategy because of the sticky early game that can't be avoided.
And yes, Fibonacci can play control warrior to legend 1... CW is still dead for pretty much anyone else.
Shredder is the best 4 drop others are being played too, I think other weapons with different effects might be played.. Just look at fan creation forum..

You can roll with cw if you like fosho i got to 5 with it, some people also run interesting dragon warriors aswell
I sort of agree. I think Death's Bite is better, but Fiery War Axe is more important. I think the people that cut a War Axe are insane. Death's Bite is great, but there are games you just lose to aggro if you don't have a Fiery War Axe in your mulligan or in your first 2 draws. and DB can clear the first half of Belcher, sure, but that's assuming you get to equip it and swing once before they play it, which isn't always the case.

I have created a control warrior that I ranked up 4 ranks from rank 10 to 6 in the matter of a week playing only a hour or two a day. It differs from standard control warrior with dragons and having many more tempo tipe plays. Go check it out its one of my decks in my profile I believe it can reach legend and it is so much fun too play.
To replace Death's Bite, the new weapon would have to either be a Win Axe given Windfury and another small bonus effect or it would have to be an Arcanite Reaper that costs 1 less mana. To be fair though, every class has specific staple cards that absolutely must be used unless your deck has a very specific strategy that does not require these cards. Some examples from each class: Shaman has Hex. Mage has Frostbolt. Druid has Darnassus Aspirant. Paladin has Consecration. Priest has Northshire Cleric and Shadow Word: Death. Warlock has everything. Rogue has Backstab. Warrior also has Win Axe. Hunter has SKill Command (lol).
I agree that Gorehowl is the better weapon than Death's Bite in a slower meta. That being said, I think we all know that the best weapon in the game is Blingtron 3000. ;)
I play control preist and I think DB is an incredible weapon because of the deathrattle. Oozes and Harrison removals have to be planned accordingly. My only beef with warriors is the low cost of execute(the salt is real).
If you just compare values, yes it is the best warrior weapon. But EVERY card in the game can be good or can outvalue other cards. It depends on what the current circumstances are. The only different are the powercreeps: Magma Rager > Ice Rager, Booty Bay Bodyguard -> Evil Heckler,...
Of course Win Axe has better value, it costs less mana and is an early game drop. Death's Bite can deal with a wider variety of minions but it costs more mana to play it. A Win Axe only deals reliably with 1-2 mana minions in one strike while Death's Bite can clear 3-4 mana minions with the first hit and 3-6 mana minions with its second hit, in addition to clearing 1 health tokens on the second hit. Death's Bite is essentially also a Whirlwind on the second strike. It combines two cards into one for an increased total mana cost. This can net considerably more value than Win Axe ever could, depending on the board circumstances.
Give us a reasonable/interesting 3 mana weapon, and a class legendary with "If your deck contains no more than 1 copy of any weapon..."
Reno?
No, reno gimps the entire deck and dramatically weakens it by limiting all the other good cards to one copy per deck. It is better to get to 40-60 armor than to use reno, also there is a strong anti-synergy between reno and armor.
Agree. Justicar Trueheart is the main source of survivability for Warrior and losing 1 each of Execute, Shield Slam, Win Axe and Death's Bite would hurt the deck way too much for a heal card that Control Warrior doesn't really need when it already has Shieldmaiden, Bash, Shield Block, Alexstrasza and the aforementioned Justicar providing survivability. Not to mention Taunt minions like Sludge Belcher.

Warrior doesn't need more weapons and Death's Bite is already a very good weapon.

DB is a must-have and included in every Warrior deck you'll see.
How about a weapon that's immune to Harrison/Ooze??

How about a 3 mana 2/2 that ignores divine shields?
Or a 5 mana 4/2 that silences minions before dealing damage?
