This is not a salty thread, but generally want to see what are people's least favorite cards in standard at this current time. Try to give reasons and not just slate classes off, its about looking at cards you find crazy or you just hate seeing in the standard format.
This card is really powerful for its mana cost and its ability. Like Siamat is a legendary card at the same mana cost and does not even come close to the bonkers power of this class rare. Taunt, Reborn, can't be targeted by spells or hero powers and the beast tag all for 7 mana? I say this is one of the best taunts if not THE best in standard at this current time. I dont find it broken to play against, but very powerful when summoned using Strength in Numbers and really unfun when you have to kill it twice only to deal with another one possibly on the next turn.
People could argue to add more of Death hunters cards on the list, but for me this one is the most powerful hands down. I think this card is the only one on my list i would straight up called broken. It has amazing stats, a mini fire ball effect and is a demon, all of this only costing 7 mana. When i see one of these played i just know im probs going to loose unless i can kill it immediately and even then i think i am most likely dead.
Warlock has the one of best Galakrond and plague of flames just seems over the top in my opinion. Warlocks have lots of good board clears and giving them a 1 mana board clear with super easy ways to summon cheap disposable imps just seems not right. Like the other plagues like Plague of Murlocs and Plague of Death seem to have generally big disadvantages and risks for both players and plagues like Plague of Madness and Plague of Wrath require a set up, Plague of Flames is cheapest and easiest with the best effect for a class who can take full advantage of it. I do think its annoys me most out of any other standard warlock card for being lacking flavour and very powerful.
This is a weird one on a list of hated cards, but i just think its design is really poor. Getting Kragg from a random effect like Sky Raider makes it useless as it does not even have decent stats for its mana cost, However playing it with a quest makes it one of the best neutral 4 drops in standard . I know the argument is "Well its meant to have bad stats as it has a powerful effect" However, i would argue that Questing Explorer and Licensed Adventurer both have better stats with quest support. I think for me a legendary tribe minion with can be added to your hand outside a quest deck that is really swingy or useless just is bad design imo. If it did not have a tribe or is not a legendary i would be less bothered, but getting it off something like Brightwing feels either really REALLY bad or really good depending if you have a quest.
Bad Luck Albatross because it kills so many arhetypes (any highlander deck, no minion mage, pure paladin). Especially with priest when they duplicate it and resurrect it million times. Then you are really screwed. You restrict your deck for 3 or 4 cards that you can (but don't have to) find in first 10-12 turns. But this card always seems to be played on turn 3 and die the following and you are just screwed on turn 3 for the most of the game because you draw them near the end of the game.
This thread is already too bad for my hypertension haha
Anyway, most hated cards of all time is even/odd cards. Not a fare rewards for what players does BEFORE match. Especially the one that upgraded hero powers which was absolute bonkas
And i hope this thread wont have too much complaints about current meta
Edit: oops only standard. Hmm
DH! Dhhhhh
Haha the standard is not settled so i cant say much oops
Dark Skies and it's not even close. Go wide? Dark skies deals with it. Go tall? Dark skies deals with it. The effect is way too powerful and versatile for its mana cost. It's not right that the same spell can clear either an 8/8 or an entire board of 1/1s for 3 mana. In Warlock, this card has an equal power level to Rolling Fireball yet it costs 2 less. That's just BROKEN. This along with Plague of Flames are the main reasons Galakrond Warlock is just dominating right now. Because they have cheap overpowered removal tools with no weaknesses. The Sacrificial Pact nerf will change very little.

Agreed, dont forget Zephyrs when u think you are ahead and deal with every single removal it can possibly have there is zephyrs, it's disgusting.
I said i was expecting Warlock to be more nerfed in the upcoming balance changes topic and people downvoted me like crazy lol it seems like we are in a war of DH vs Warlock fanboys.

Demon hunters are about to give them a rude awakening. DHs actually had a chance with old sac pact, but once they lose a 0 mana, destroy an enemy 7 drop heal 5, they're done.
Let us demon hunters run them off the ladder for the rest of you, it won't take long.

I don't need any help with that. Currently ranked 2185 in the Americas with 150 wins with DH under my belt. ;)
But yeah, the DH vs. Warlock matchup has improved in favor of the DH and now that Sacrificial Pact is out of the way and we will finally see the triumphant return of Priestess of Fury to the meta. But the other nerfs are going to completely destroy DH's early game. I see the entire class shifting back toward a midrange powerhouse.
Way to many Priest card, now priest is so close to me pausing HS! Resurrect over and over and laying 2 copies on the taunt thats kill random , just som example!!! Please Blizzard, nerf priest! Its so ridiculus how many OP control cards they have.
Sap is my least favorite card alongside Blackjack Stunner. I hate the whole rogue strategy of using underpriced removal and punishing players for playing big minions. I also hate their strategy of abusing battle cries over and over.
Zephrys the Great : After years of being told the game is completely and fairly random, they release a card that proves that they could simply not, if they really wanted to. Something about that kinda rubs me the wrong way. Doesn't feel good losing to tailored out of class spells, the single turning point of the HS's gamestate with a card like this being made.
Altruis the Outcast : Even after nerfs, insanely powerful with its ability to still hit face. Stacking outcasts and clearing boards while topdecking to victory.
Dragonqueen Alexstrasza: Even after soft nerf, still can easily net you 15+ worth of value (if you get Kalecgos 20+). I get it, it's 9 mana, tempo yada. Not like this.
After games have been popular for a while, they tend to add randomness, reward practice/preparedness less, etc to attract more players. I see it and get it, just sucks to see them take this route.
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron and it's not even close. Every single time my opponent plays it gives them the most lucky and fortunate spells possible. Gets me every fucking time.

here are mine and why:
Winged Guardian:

what cards do you hate in standard?
Any highlander card...
Easily Convincing Infiltrator into Psychopomp or Grave Rune.

Flik, Albatross, Infiltrator, Togg.
My least favorite cards are any Galakrond enabler cards, especially the rogue and neutral cards.
Any quests, even the sort-of wimpy ones. The Sidequests I can live with, maybe.
The Coin.
Mage secrets. Those zero-cost DH cards that are always in Outcast position when Altruis hits the board.
Queen of Pain Harbinger Celestia Worthless Imp
The 3 of Clubs.
Demon hunters are about to give them a rude awakening. DHs actually had a chance with old sac pact, but once they lose a 0 mana, destroy an enemy 7 drop heal 5, they're done.

Currently Dragonqueen Alexstrasza.
One moment you are winning a fair game of HS and BOOM, opponent plays Alex with 2 more 0 mana 10 drops..
I hate this mana cheating bull in HS.
Sap is my least favorite card alongside Blackjack Stunner. I hate the whole rogue strategy of using underpriced removal and punishing players for playing big minions. I also hate their strategy of abusing battle cries over and over.
Any card I've lost to. :P
Zephrys the Great : After years of being told the game is completely and fairly random, they release a card that proves that they could simply not, if they really wanted to. Zephrys, this card made the game even more retarded than what it is.
Honestly, The Coin.
Playing meme decks/characters does not entitle you to call a meta bad.
For me
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron and it's not even close. Every single time my opponent plays it gives them the most lucky and fortunate spells possible. Gets me every fucking time.
