Question for you psykechan
Aggro Overload Shaman has a fairly low winrate (just barely Tier 2 according to HS) but you feel Vessina is Tier 2?
Will be busted, as always.
Yup. This card is such complete bullshit. I've lost to every mage who has played this, the most recent cast Academic Espoinage when he was 2 cards away from fatigue. There's a reason Yogg-Saron was nerfed, and now as this card isn't a minion that doesn't even work.
Can't stand this card.
Some good suggestions in this thread. For me, I'd like to see buffs for the cards they've printed that operate as the foundation of arch-types they previously tried to create. Specifically Heal Druid, what used to be Odd Mage, Gonk Druid and Dragon Warrior.
Lucentbark: Add can't be targeted by spells
Jana'ali: This is a really fun effect that got nerfed has soon as Baku was hof'd. Pretty much unplayable now. Maybe change it to if your hero power has dealt 4 damage this game?
Gonk: Not sure how to buff this, maybe reduce cost and/or improve stats
War Master Voone: Reduce the cost of all dragons in your hand by 1
They've created several support cards for all of these arche-types and no one plays or uses any of them (with maybe the exception of Heal Druid, but it sucks). If the legendaries that these decks are built on were to become playable it would add some variety to the meta.
So the card is played heavily in the new Pally Murloc deck but it's not a Highlander deck (it's a highroll deck as others have noticed). Do you think this card is essential to the deck? Seems Tip the Scales will pull this often. Nomi makes more sense imo, although the most popular deck is also running Zephyrs at the moment.
Right now, Wardruid Loti is almost a staple in any druid deck, from token to highlander quest. I know it is a little early to say something like this, but I think she should be moved from tier 3 to tier 2.
Agreed. A few legendaries have found new homes of late including Loti, Hex Lord Malacrass, Flobbidinous Floop, Grommash, Cenarius. Busy time for SlydE :)
Ha, yes I was way off base with Reno. Haven't looked at stats but nice to see that two of the Highlander decks are doing well.
King Phaoris is a big surprise, I don't think many thought that would be a good card.
If you love CW, then I think it's a safe craft. Used in the majority of the top CW decks at the moment. I won it, initially disappointed however have been pleasantly surprised with how good it is.
Seems to come up a LOT when you discover a taunt minion via the new Stonehill as well.
Interesting views in this thread.
Control Warrior and Conjurer's Calling Mage still seem great (the latter got a buff to the 7 and 10 drops). Have not played a single Highlander deck which is super disappointing.
For the quests:
Druid Quest actually seems solid and Plot Twist / Warlock Quest isn't far off. Just needs a bit more tweaking.
Priest, Rogue and Shaman seem overrated and I've had no issues with any of those decks.
I completed the Mage Quest numerous times as it's fairly easy in Cyclone Mage but the reward is very meh.
Haven't seen a single Hunter Quest or Warrior Quest. Saw one Pally Quest but his deck was all over the map.
Wow... 45% of hearthpwn thinks this card is meta-defining. Seriously? I've been playing zoo and ocationaly handlock since launch and i am 99% sure this card is not that good, it's fair, but miles away from being meta-defining good. Too slow for zoo, too clunky for control/hand, and with no obvious new warlock archetypes in range, unless they print a card similar to Lakkari Sacrifice reward that spawns lackeys, i cannot see this being played in standard. It reminds me of Scargil for some reason, alot of ppl were excited about it, turned out it's mediocre in standard.
I feel the same as you do. There are what, 6 ways to get lackey's for Warlock? If this was for Rogue it'd be bonkers, but I just don't think it's amazing either. Maybe future expansions will give Warlock more lackeys but for now I feel this will be a Tier 3 legendary.
3 legendaries - Raid the Sky Temple, Armagedillo and Corrupt the Waters.
Not my best opening and didn't get any of the legendaries I was hoping for. Ah well.
I hope to get a few of the following: Siamat, High Priest Amet, the Priest, Druid and Rogue Quests, Zephyr, and Dinotamer Brann.
I bought the cheaper bundle, first one I've purchased since Witchwood - super happy as this set looks fantastic (to me anyways).
For me (I've been playing Hearthstone since Whispers of the Old Gods) this expansion is one of the most I've been excited about in a long, long time.
That could possibly be as I loved League of Explorers but I really like the characters and flavour of this expansion, the power level is nuts and there are some super fun decks I want to try. Specifically highlander Hunter and Pally, and Thief Rogue - I have played a lot of Thief Rogue since Witchwood and it just keeps getting good cards.
First pre-order bundle I've purchased since Witchwood, can't wait till next week.
