About HS business model, I don't think it would be in jeopardy with a small reward at the end. You don't pay entry fees, granted, but even though you don't spend money (real or gold) but you spend time.
Ranked is also a free mode, and you get free gold for each win, and a chest at the end of each month. Why couldn't Dungeon Runs offer the same? Bit of gold/dust as mentioned above, and a chest at the end of each month according to the number of bosses defeated, or runs completed, or whatever?
Another thing that would be nice, is the ability to complete daily quests in Dungeon mode. It would be another incentive to play them, and it would 'clean' the ladder and the casual a bit. I mean, I ususally do quests in the mode I don't play that month, and so in a way I'm polluting the other ladder with refined (and netdecked...) decks full of legendaries at ranks 18-20. Some other people do that in casual, ruining the experience for people wanting to experiment new decks.
I agree 100%, especially about quest being able to fulfill in dungeon.

Whyisn't possible to do so right away ?? :(
Period, probably one of the most clever Things I read here.
It's a collectile card game, which means the main goal is to collect cards to build and expand your collection. That's the main reason why people require incentive. Just for fun isn't good enough, because it doesn't aid you in achieving the purpose of this game, which is again, to collect cards which then will increase your fun play experience. So yes there should be an incentive, however there's no need to get crazy. The three cards you get from playing the dungeon runs is enough. After that the game is still fun to play will continue to be so I think. I'm loving it so far.
I am not getting crazy and I too love the game :) Just wanna have other people opinions :) Still think a tiny bit more could be awarded to players :)

I think it's more that they incentivize all the other game modes in some way or another. They could do something here. I wouldn't mind having unlockable titles or something... or maybe have it be a way to earn additional card backs in the future or something. It's just weird that the rest of the game has incentives behind each game mode, and then this one doesn't (after the Twitch challenge deal).
WT.? Whats about the millenials things? Whats the point? btw I am more than 30 yo No need for this kind of salt, just trying to have a civilize debate about a game we all enjoy.
No need to be that condescendent

It could have had some small reward, even just a pack at the end of 8 wins which can only be completed once a week or something. Gives you some incentive to run it regularly, but a small enough reward that you won't be missing out on too much if you don't enjoy it.
If it's weekly, it'd have to be far less, like 20 gold or something. A pack would make you feel like you had to do one each week.
I always thought they should have a weekly quest to make you do a different mode, but at no cost. Like play 3 arena games, get 150 gold. Or beat 5 dungeon bosses, 50 gold.
At least they added a random daily quest to do the dungeon run. Hopefully it's a pretty common quest, not a rare one like 7 wins. I definitely want an incentive to play Dungeon Run more.
I feel like 1 gold for each win and maybe 5 for the final boss would be perfect. Less than the 10 for 3 wine, but enough that it keeps with the theme and helps with the immersion. I don't think anyone would grind 8 games for 12 gold when you could win 9 for 30. Just my thoughts.
There was a notation when my dungeon run as loading that some encounters are exceedingly rare with exceptional treasure. Anyone get that?
so did I, don't know exactly what it refers to actually :/
I think it means if you get assigned a rare encounter and beat it you will get an extra 'treasure' choice (like double HP/start with 2 extra cards treasures). I'm not sure but pretty sure I've had different amounts of treasures on different runs, normally 2, but in my lock run I got 3. So I assume one of the encounters i had was a 'rare' one and I got an extra than normal.
I thought this was meant as a ‘fun’ game mode. But it is anything but ‘fun’. It’s very annoying when after 6 games, the next boss is a hard counter for the deck you are playing (happend 6-7 times). And when i finally get to the last boss (after 2 dozen runs) the final boss is azari. And his ability is to mill your deck away. In the first five turns he milled my 3 rags, and i just conceded the game at this point. Wow, that was really fun Blizzard.
Blizzard really had a chance to make a fun game mode. But instead they just make the slightly annoying bosses, they also did with the old adventures. Playing against hyper aggro decks in casual is still more fun than this.

That sounds like a lot of salt. I was pretty sad too when my DK Jaina was milled against The Darkness, but guess what, I tried again, went back and won, and it made the feeling even better. There is no reward so there is literally no reason for anyone to play it if you don't enjoy it.
This was a really fun concept, but after a few runs and several hours later, the RNG factor once again bothers me. Some bosses are completely unbeatable, and to try it all over again you need to grind through the first 7 bosses again and again. I've only successfully manager to complete one run so far with druid, rest were dismal fails (tried with warrior, hunter, rogue, and shaman). It's like the old raids they had, except you can't even build your own deck. I'm just so frustrated by it. It would've also been nice if the "treasures" you got during your run would persist through every run with that class, until you've got them all. Again, because of RNG bs and opponents with absurdly overpowered hero powers. The only one I see as realistically winnable is the final dragon boss.
As for "rewards," I don't need dust or gold at the end, but it would've been nice if the class you played gained experience from the duels. Completing daily quests in it would've been really nice too. IMO, it is waaaaay too much of a time sink RNG ****-fest for just a card back.
I love it and i dont care there r no rewards (aside from card back). Tho they could have let us do daily quests in there ... like cmon. Thats the only thing i will say they r "cheap" on.

Dear me! So many millennials on this thread!
If you don't enjoy Dungeon Raids then stop playing them! Why the hell do you think that you should get paid for enjoying your hobbies?!!!
Lost for words, really...

I'm 52 and I think Dungeon Raids should follow the example of real dungeon raids. And have treasure at the end.
No one plays DND with no loot.
No one does raids in WoW "just for the fun."
No one kills the Dragon in Dark Age of Camelot, "just for the fun."
Oh wait, you get a new card back! Except I haven't changed my card back in 6 months and don't plan to unless I hit Legend someday.
So, getting a new card back for completing this is like doing a Molton Core run in WoW and getting 1 GP at the end.
Its a game. Played for fun. Do we really need rewards for EVERYTHING? If you don't like the time drain, don't play it.
I think their idea for the dungeon runs is more for new players to gain experience with while they build their card base up

Can anyone confirm that this is what it means?
