I think I'm 7-2 at rank 1 right now, both losses going to the same opponent. I did make a couple of changes to the trap line up and I'm not playing the Professor, but the shell is doing great right now!
I'm very happy to see this. I doubt it sees play during the next few months, but I bet it will after rotation. All of the forms are perfectly reasonable for the cost, and in a new, undefined meta that will be really nice.
The "Unidentified" cards were supposed to be a callback to loot drops in the Diablo series (and other such games) where there are base items that have random buffs/enchantments on them when they drop. Kobold's and Catacombs as a set was supposed to be a throw back to dungeon crawlers, which they did a pretty great job of, to be honest. While that did make the cards weaker than "choose" cards, it made them more thematically correct.
Random effects also push story's, which Blizzard is all about. The Inn Keeper himself will tell you that most times you log in. I can't tell you the number of times me and my co-workers have come into work to talk about some epic top deck or whatever, and it's even more exciting when it's an "Unidentified" item (normally it's Unidentified Maul giving you lethal or the bubble to have great trades or whatever).
tl;dr Unidentified Shield would be way better as a choose card, and I would love that (with a new name), but it didn't fit the dungeon crawler theme.
Do you actually need the Lifedrinkers? Seems like you can just gain infinite armor and he'll eventually concede or die in fatigue, right? I guess they speed the game up a bit...
6 mana Shaman spell, hex all minions. Helps put a stop to the Cubelock meta, helps a class that currently sucks, feels flavorful since Hagatha is the main character of the set. Also helps even Shaman.
Doomguard should go to Hall of Fame. Currently CubeLock is scary because not only does it have fantastic survivability, but it also has crazy high burst turns. This card has seen enough play, charge is a hard mechanic to balance, let's move on.
And it's been very powerful and consistent. I found myself very rarely leaning on Ice Block because Corridor Creeper helped a bit more with board control. I think I may actually adjust back and add Pyroblast back in in place of on of the Firelands Portal...
Anyways, sweet deck. Very good against a lot of the meta right now. Highly recommend!
I think it's more that they incentivize all the other game modes in some way or another. They could do something here. I wouldn't mind having unlockable titles or something... or maybe have it be a way to earn additional card backs in the future or something. It's just weird that the rest of the game has incentives behind each game mode, and then this one doesn't (after the Twitch challenge deal).
Thanks a lot for your reply, and especially for linking out to another players deck! Really cool! Hopefully we can all iterate together once the expansion goes live and figure out how to best use of all this!
I actually think this is a lot better than everyone is giving it credit. This minions job is to defend, which it does quite well. Twilight Guardian was very good, and this card is better against silence. Fact is, normally if you can survive long enough as Druid you will eventually win with your bigger threats. I would say most of the time your opponent will trade 2 or 3 guys into this the turn after you play it so it wouldn't have had an opportunity to attack anyway.
Late game, after DK, it's just fine as a top deck. Not the greatest, but it'll always be able to attack and it defends nicely.

I am played Loatheb in place of him, and it seems fine.
Mojomaster Zihi is probably perfectly fine to if you're facing a lot of Reno Jackson or Mecha'thun decks for some reason.
I chose to go the Loatheb route mostly because it can stop Raiding Party and Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, which seemed important.
I could even see a Gluttonous Ooze or something similar in that slot.
Pick a tech card, any tech card. You'll be fine!

I'm playing a variant of this that basically is...
-1 Kabal Lackey
-2 Ice Block
-1 Pyroblast
+2 Corridor Creeper
+2 Firelands Portal
And it's been very powerful and consistent. I found myself very rarely leaning on Ice Block because Corridor Creeper helped a bit more with board control. I think I may actually adjust back and add Pyroblast back in in place of on of the Firelands Portal...

Who do we talk to at Blizzard to get them to have Kibler do all reveal streams?

So who will be playing The Darkness just to deny Raza his free hero powers?

Thoughts about using Doomerang or Death Knight? I really like the look of this list, planning on piloting something similar after expansion.
