I don´t want to discuss, if you like the mode or not. I don´t want to discuss if you find it easy or hard.
We can all agree that there are a lot of users out there at the moment who are frustrated by this mode and are not able yet to beat all 8 bosses.
So I think the persons who allready beaten all 8 bosses could post here their decks with which they were successful and explaining their strategy. :)
If you have no picture from your whole winning deck you can just tell which totem you used, what special units and passives you chosen and what your generell strategy was. I hope this thread will help more people to beat this mode and enjoy it more. :)
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
i won with a mill/burgle strategy, i got double of the totem that stole a card from your opponents deck and made it cost (2) less. i also had like 3 colldlight oracles, and brann.
and i had 2 of those guys that are 2 mana 4/3 makes cards that did not start in your deck cost 4 less.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
I won using the dragon warrior shrine. just pick a bunch of big dragons and bring the pain. Alexstraza works wonders, and war master voone really helps. the warrior card which destroys all enemies and gives you two armor for each is amazing and the reason i was able to stabilize on the last boss. I also picked up a Zola which allowed me to have two shrines out, so each dragon reduced the other dragons in my hand by 2 mana. dropping 4 0 mana 8/8's with effects is great.
I used the paladin shrine that copy any spell effect you used on a friendly minion and just made sure I have an early minion to buff and used potion of heroism to draw.
one tip I will give is to try and get as many draw cards as you can because its really easy to empty your hand in this mode also the best unique minions are the ones are drawn at the start of the game just to better thinn your deck
You want to take the thief buckets and battlecry/combo buckets. You mostly want thief/battlecry buckets but bounce buckets with Coldlight oracle or shadowstep can be good. Battlecry will give you removal and board presence from vilespine, SI agent, 4/4 spiders, etc. Thief bucket will give board presence and opponents cards to play. For the treasures you really want the 2 mana 4/3 that reduces all stolen cards by 4, its the real MVP. When you get the shrine treasure you want the one that gives two shrines or makes your shrine respawn faster for maximum stolen cards. If you can't get any of those three just get cheap cards because your hand will often be really full and you can vomit it onto the board over and over
The strategy for the first few turns is tempo tempo tempo. Mulligan hard for 1 and 2 drops, especially the 1/1 that gets 2 attack when you have a weapon up. Get something on the board and kill their shrine as soon as possible while protecting your own. Use conceal to keep your shrine alive early if you get the chance. Play your stealy minions too.
Once you get on the board you will start to heavily out value the opponent in later turns with their own cards and then you go into full control mode. The win condition for most games is fatigue, which you'll be ahead in heavily because of your shrine stealing their stuff. Don't push damage unless you can afford it, just focus on maintaining a board advantage and clearing their stuff and keeping their shrine down.
I played stealy priest three times, beat it twice and lost to the final boss the other time. I had the most success with it over any other.
First win: Using Fan of Flames and Jan'alai's Flame Drafted like 4x Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk, 1x Tony, 1x Rhonin 2x Saraad, 1x Luna and the rest were hp sinergies like the mage Pyromaniacs, Pixie and Ice Walker and the rest was removal or things to help Hp
Second Win: Bwonsamdi's Covenant with 2x Bwonsamdi's Keeper (the 4/5 minions that heal all minions to full), went for Lyra and Lyra things like innerfire used innerfire in my own shrine in turn 1 in multiple occasions and eventually got the passive to discount spells by 1.
Fourth win Dark Reliquary, honestly this one is redonkously Op, i managed to draft the mandatory 2x Malchezaar's Imp (also dont go overboard with jekliks id rafted 3 but the third was overkill and started to burn my cards after not being able to play the priestesses, see pic) to give myself a draw engine, and the rest was history, beat the final boss ending with full health and damage i took was mostly through fatigue.
Pretty much if you're playing lock pick Malchezaar's Imp regardless of shrine, it gives you a draw engine and allows you to outvalue the bosses
Final Build final stats 21 defeated 1 run completed, appears to be luck based :( the minion buffs worked great targeting my portal and the upgrades made this run very easy compared to the other ones, i never felt that i was in trouble in any match up.

My best run so far was Priest with the 0/8 shrine that makes your healing do damage. I don't remember the exact build but I had two of those shrines by the end, as well as 1 Divine Spirit and 3 Inner Fire in the deck.
I lost to Thekal in the final fight, despite having a turn one 8/8 on board. He had the totem that gives Divine Shield to a minion that survives damage. I under estimated how strong that could be, especially when his turn one play was Injured Blademaster, and especially when his shrine can also give itself divine shield, AND when he drops a 2/5 taunt later in the game that only takes 1 damage at a time. So I hit his face for 8 turn one and not the totem. In retrospect, I think this mistake ultimately may have been what cost me the game.
I would honestly be willing to try a similar build again, because if I get a little luck on the line ups and who I face in what order, I think I could win with that build. Still haven't even given every class a try though. Taking a little break after that run. Super frustrating ending!
As for the strategy I used, I killed their shrine every time and kept the board under control. Use your face to kill stuff, you can easily heal back and the shrine will work its magic.
question- are the first shrines locked to be the same 3 per account? cause each time i do a new run its always the same 3 shrines. i have 3 different accounts and its the same 3 shrines on the start of run per account
Several times I was 7/8 with warrior dmg=armor shrine, warlock with discard=summon shrine, druid armor=mana shrine. I was hard countered every time on last boss:/
And 8/8 rogue burgle shrine + immune minion + taunt upgrade shrine. Placed immune minion next to shrine. Immune taunt is op as hell !! Focus on bord control and mill /face after he run out of cards
I tried sevreal of the shrines that seemed OP but I still got smashed by bosses 7 or 8.
The warrior armor=attack shrine didn't sound good at first but it was a cakewalk. Picked tank up buckets with one or two rush and rampage. 2 turn shrine regeneration passive effect was super helpful.
Gain armor, chill, then punch face for huge damage every other turn. Lots of fun.
Treasure From Below - upgraded with Deathrattle your cards in your hand cost (2) less
Sharktoothed Harpooner - 2 Mana 4,3 battlecry reduce card cost that did not start in by (2)
Raging Contender - 6 Mana 8,4 Rush, Deathrattle fill board with random Pirates
For the buckets I did one or two from Burgle, one or two from Aggressive Tactics, one or two from Weapons, one from Tricks of the Trade and otherwise went for small minions (Pirates and Misfits) so that I could keep dumping my hand and avoid overdrawing. Did not touch Battlecry, Deathrattle, For the Money, or Bounce. Was a very, very easy run (no real close calls), and my first victory after almost 100 teams defeated. Final boss was Paladin with the Divine Shield shrine.
I don´t want to discuss, if you like the mode or not. I don´t want to discuss if you find it easy or hard.

I beat it on the 3rd final match, previously lost with Shaman and Hunter, Warrior was my least favourite but actually works better than I thought.
I chose to have 2nd shrines and warrior card that destroy all enemy and give you armour, its really strong.

Third Win Hir'eek's Hunger with discard as an engine to draw through the deck, using a couple of Malchezaar's Imps and Doomguards, the rest was powerful on curve sinergistic stuff like Blood Witch and Spirit Bomb, i won because a lot of bosses use seaforium bomber (battlecry zentimo) or Corrupted Blood (Deathrattle talanji)

First and only time I've done the run and I've beaten all 8 bosses easily. I don't have the screenshot of the deck but this was it:
Class: paladin
Shrine: Shirvallah's Vengeance. Really good
Passive: Everlasting Devotion. Really good
Teammates: Parading Marshal and Lightchucker. Both the best teammates imo.
Bundles:
As for the strategy I used, I killed their shrine every time and kept the board under control. Use your face to kill stuff, you can easily heal back and the shrine will work its magic.
Looking at the post above KILL THE SHRINE comes up loads my build i killed it whenever i could above all other targets
My personal key to completing:
- More shrines (3 being optimal).
Done by things that resurrect, return to hand or similar.
Then use the fact that you can predict your opponent´s attacks. (Roughly; Lethal - Big threat - shrine - value trade - face).
Anyway, what do I know...
Its very easy with shaman / -2 spell cost totem. Just choice every unstable evolution and enjoy free evolving to 8 wins. Got it 1st attempt.
question- are the first shrines locked to be the same 3 per account? cause each time i do a new run its always the same 3 shrines. i have 3 different accounts and its the same 3 shrines on the start of run per account
It took me 64 kills.
Several times I was 7/8 with warrior dmg=armor shrine, warlock with discard=summon shrine, druid armor=mana shrine. I was hard countered every time on last boss:/

So, final sum of beaten opponents is 321 for the first successfull run.
Winning for me is

Pesky did not do much, but we crushed the Wardruid Loti as the final boss.
EU 11/2015+ , f2p 03/2021+: DK 63 / DH 205 /Dr 277 / Hu 733 / Ma 6666 / Pa 1072 / Pr 1165 / Ro 1791 / Sh 1303 / Wl 707 / Wr 664
For me it was the Spell Damage Shrine of the Dragonhawk.
+ 2x guy that fills hand with Arcane Missiles.
Oh and double shrine as final reward.
