Everybody is worried about Druid getting powerful cards, which they did, and Shudderwock scumbag remaining uncountered....neither of these decks will be able to withstand the early game mech onslaught. I personally hate aggro decks....so I'm not making this prediction lightly. But there are several good 1-drop mechs that will be able to be magneticized on turn 2 and/or 3....it's going to be difficult to deal with if you aren't also playing some form of aggro or zoo.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
Aggro mech and zoo decks will be running the Boomsday meta. Hunter will be the best class. Druid is too slow and waaaaaay overhyped.
As a wild player, I know how radically different the two metas can be. And druid scares me a little. But there’s gonna be so many fun wild decks- I get to brush off all my shitty mechs again!
Maybe it is me growing more frustrated at aggro decks as time goes by but this set especially seems to just give aggro a lot more power, without giving actual control decks any power, I do not mean the cancer people call control these days that are not control, just waste time until you get a big combo off. To cull the aggro meta, we would need to see more cards like defile and psychic scream for each class but Blizzard cannot get that part right
Mech seem strong enough to counter the Druids and Shuddershammies. They have pretty good stat totals and the magnetic keyword allows you to snowball at a tremendous rate. They also can’t get cleared by wild pyro half the time. Expansion is looking quite worrying for any control players.
Will rogue find its way into the meta? Pogo hopper, steal, miracle or even odd? All of these questions will be answered by monday. Honestly so hyped I literally cannot wait.

Unfortunately you'll actually have to wait until Tuesday.

Those are all interesting decks, but except maybe odd rogue, I'm afraid they won't be very competitive because mid-range Rogues (miracle, kingsbane, quest before nerf) have always been vulnerable to aggro, and I don't see any new anti-aggro tool rogue gets from boomsday
"I have seen worlds bathed in the Makers' flames, their denizens fading without as much as a whimper. Entire planetary systems born and razed in the time that it takes your mortal hearts to beat once. Yet all throughout, my own heart devoid of emotion... of empathy. I. Have. Felt. Nothing. A million-million lives wasted. Had they all held within them your tenacity? Had they all loved life as you do?"
Silence is going to be so underpowered in the new meta. There's going to be too many targets. I think Blizzard decided to nerf silence and control decks are going to struggle. I will still play value decks and try to compete.
Really hoping for an Aggro meta. Iast season I've only faced three Zoo Warlocks and four Odd decks, While the others were 43 Shudderwocks, 18 Recruit Hunters and around 89 of every single druid variation Druid( the most commons being Token and Hadronox).
Aggro decks are generally healthy for the game. It's when they get out of control like pirate warrior that I have an issue. I hope you are correct, speaking as a control/combo player. Nobody wants a ladder full of combo or control mirrors, that is just boring.

Yeah, mechs are busted. All the cards that druid got just help it beat the decks they already beat (except Biology Project and Landscaping.)

Aggro meta will always come in every expansion. Aggro is what helps refine non-aggro decks.
Azalina Soulthief could see play to counter Shudderwok now, especially in midrange decks.
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
Was there any expansion where the meta was not aggro?
I am praying you are correct!
Currently we have for sure no Aggro meta. This is the most control heavy meta we ever had!
My friends Spreading Plague Dragon's Fury Blizzard and Flamestrike like your theory

Cool. It will be nice to have those in your hand while you are sitting at 4 health on turn 6, too.

I love the smell of burnt flesh in the morning.

Blizzard could print a set that's entirely value and you mongoloids would still cry aggro meta
