I'm currnently using a tweaked MidRange/Aggro Hunter and a tempo mage but I'm not having success. I've made it to 17 once but since then I can't get back. Maybe RNG just hates me I'm not sure, Quest Rogues are just cancerous as all hell. Hope to hear from you guys!
I know for sure I need Kindly Grandmother(I don't have expansion), x2 Fiery Bats and 1 more Alleycat andUnleash the Hounds. If I had those cards to replace x2 Emerald Reaver, x1 TimberWolf, x1 Bloodfen and Maybe the Arcane shot how would this deck look.
I'd like to fit Hungry Crab in there eventually too but can't afford it right now, hope to hear back from somebody!
The hunter deck you are using is more about tempo rather than aggro. I see many cards that aim to eliminate threats (Multi-Shot, Hunter's Mark Arcane Shot, Flare...) and some cards that try to defend (Ironfur Grizzly, Nesting Roc). These cards help you establish a strong presence on your board and remove threats from your opponent side but they don't help you push the face damage. That's why the aggro aspect of this deck is not strong enough to beat quest rogue.
Tempo oriented hunter should be good against other aggro decks because aggro decks can't turn the table if they are under board pressure. Quest Rogue on turn 5 could be extremely strong and your tempo cards can't help you maintain the pressure. You need to push all your attack power on their face and try to destroy them on turn 5 or 6.
The Fireflys don't synergize so I don't understand your thoughts for switching 1 bloodfen and 1 emerlad reaver for them. Elaborate your decision please?

even though Fire Fly doesn't synergize with beasts, it is an excellent card in aggro because it provides 2 bodies with a total of 2/4 stats for 2 mana. It also enables Nesting Roc and Ravasaur Runt by itself, which is probably enough to consider it synergistic anyway.
Bloodfen Raptor and Emerald Reaver are just bad cards - the 2 mana 3/2 is a strictly worse Crackling Razormaw, and the reaver's 1 damage is SUPER insignificant. Fire Fly provides bodies that are more efficient statwise that the raptor and provide more of an impact on the game than either card you mentioned.
Makes sense. I just use the Bloodfens to replace Kindly Grandmother, I get the 3/2 2 Mana straight up instead of Kindlys deathrattle, I thought it was a fair trade.
Personally, I prefer Timber Wolf over Fire Fly. While it's true that you shouldn't play it on turn one, I found that when combined with a strong pr-existing board or Unleash the Hounds, it can be devastating for your opponent.
Timber and Hounds seems like a strong combo thats for sure. I'm going to craft my second Unleash the Hounds and 2 Fiery Bats now. Hoping to get Hungry Crab out of my pack after I win my next game, most likely won't though.

Quest rogue should be the easiest matchup for hunter.
Part of the problem with your deck is some of the best cards you're running as only 1x. You need 2x Bow, 2x Houndmaster for sure. Cut almost all the neutral cards except maybe Golakka.
It looks like you're trying to do way too much with this list, you have tech cards like hunter's mark (useless against many of the token-based decks) as well as multi-shot, arcane shot (just bad cards) and flare. That's 5 card slots that should probably just be 2 at most, I'd recommend 1x flare and 1x deadly shot.
Disguised Toast made legend with a free to play hunter deck that doesn't feature Grandmother, you should check his list out.
In midrange you don't really want a bunch of 1 drops, an with 6 already in there I think there's not enough space for the bats. As for unleash... Idk, you could certainly run one, but there are times when you get very little value from it. It really depends on the meta. But often times control decks will only have one or two minions in play so you won't get a ton of hounds.
If you're running Hyena and Timber wolf, you should certainly be running 2x Hounds. It creates opportunities for huge blowout plays vs. token druid/shamans etc.

If you have the cards try and choose either agro or midrange not both
My Deck is probably more aggro focused wouldn't you say? How do you think I should change up my deck based on my collection?
If you are truly playing aggro then Quest Rogues should be afraid of you.

Rongchoi's heroic adventure decks
Arcane Shot, Timber Wolf, Flare, Multi-Shot, Emerald Reaver, Bloodfen Raptor, Ironfur Grizzly and 2nd copy of Hunter's Mark should not make the cut based on what cards you own. They can easily be replaced by better alternatives imo.
Something like this maybe (deck based on cards you currently own)?

Can somebody explain the reasoning behind no 'Unleash the Hounds' in this deck or 'Fiery Bats'?
