Finished it on first try with outcast-DH. A few odd inclusions in the deck, but it's pretty close to the real deal and functions just fine.

Secret-Mage is heavily played atm because it counters the new APM cheese-Priest deck that is a huge % of the wild meta. The deck is nowhere close to tier 0 and the 1-drop is meh.

Scythe is still bugged in the brawl after the patch. DH is surprisingly still competitive. -And best brawl in ages imo giving us a chance to try out the new cards.

posted a message on a conversation about RNG

The game is "rigged" in the sense that it pushes everyone towards a 50% win-rate. It does not match anyone with their counter for obvious reasons already stated, but the more you win the better opponents/decks you face and vice versa. The fact this happen because you rank up or down is obviously ok, but the MMR part is nothing but a scheme to make more money.

If I get a friend request from someone playing a fun or interesting deck, I’ll accept it the next day. That way I don’t have a friend list full of face hunters or whatever no choice deck is popular and if I was wrong and they wanted to rage, they probably forget and cool down.

I accept most all of them and can confidently say the ragers rarely play face hunter or similar. Accepting a day or two delayed does indeed make them forget what they were raging about :-)

posted a message on Looking for a deck that counters questline hunter

Do you see a lot of quest-hunter on ladder? I barely see any, but I do see a lot of (attempted) counterplay. Mech-Paladin is imo the best choice and almost an auto-win. The hunter have to kill your minions to stay alive, but they all have divine shield = no quest progress. Druid, Pirate-Rogue and Reno-decks are supposedly good, but I have played a fair bit of quest-hunter and I find all those match-ups fairly even if not favoured.

Rather than a specific deck you can go for big burst turns. Quest-hunter has a plethora of single-target removal, but no aoe. If you manage to quickly spew out a big board you will likely win. Mech-decks excel at this.

Having said all that I wouldn't really bother trying to counter quest-hunter. I've played that deck to high diamond or legend the previous x seasons. It's been easy peasy until now. Atm the ladder is very hostile to the deck in my experience and it's not worth running. Small sample size I know :-)

posted a message on Hearthstone Voyage to the Sunken City Decks - The Best New Decks for the Expansion!

Not debating whether you are correct, but it is a bit sad for humankind if true. Most of the decks come more or less ready-made from Blizz. Add the cards that say pirate, mech or murloc etc to the corresponding class, make sure the curve is decent and you're good to go. After a few games you get a feel for what you need to adjust. Not-so-pro-tip: trim the fat (high cost fancy pay-offs) and add more boring low-drops on most lists linked above. -Or he will indeed hunt you down :-)

    Classic.

     why so? :o

The best format is classic and you can only use cards from classic in it. Saves you wasting time and money on all the expansions :-)

Seriously though; it obviously depends on what your goals/interests are. You offered none of that information, hence I provided you with a somewhat tongue-in-cheek answer. But not really. Classic is the best format.
