I agree that the Dreadsteed should be treated as a combo when it hits the board against harder matchups like that. I've been playing it all season and my highest is Rank 9 so far. I'm hoping to eventually take it to Legend.
While it's a control deck at its core, there's definitely some zoo elements to it. Unlike every other Steed deck I've seen so far, this one takes advantage of Undertaker and how its attack can be pumped like crazy under the right circumstances.
When I was running eggs, I always liked to have at least one hellfire, that way you can open your eggs and blast enemy minions. I found siphon soul too slow for the meta, a 6 drop that leaves nothing on the board. I tried the doomsayers, but seemed they were easily removed or not that effective--perhaps its a style choice, I found Imp Gang Boss and Voidwalker gives a more solid early game for me. Do you find knife jugglers useful? I suppose they would be OK once the steeds were up, but I find myself needing early game drops. I think I'd rather have an undertaker once steeds were up.
I like the idea of running an abusive sergeant to trigger BGH removal, might try one in my deck. I haven't seen anyone using deathlords, and you have 2--does the deathrattle hurt your game? Have you been winning on the ladder? For me it continues to be a struggle around Rank 7, it is just hard to put consistent winning streaks on the ladder.
I put enhance-o in after I got smashed by another lock who played it and got windfury on a giant, turning a loss into a win. I've found it worth a spot, it can taunt giants when you don't have a taunt, and it can give you a big play if you have steeds up and get windfury with PO (10 damage).
I exclusively play Dreadsteed and crafted 2x golden the second the set came out. Since then a lot of iterations of possible decks have come and gone but its got a lot of downfalls as a deck. People say Hex and Poly are answers but they arent if the Dreadsteed is played properly as a combo. If you get a Hex/Poly off on a T3-4 Steed you know you're playing someone who has little experience with the deck type.
I thank the hearthgods for nerfing patron warrior into the ground because now at least i have a chance to hellfire the board when i see it come down. - amen.

"That was the worst strategy ever! Buy an official book!" Anakaris, DarkStalkers 3
Money spent on Hearthstone: $0
Five Golden Heroes so far: Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Rogue and Priest.
I think filling the board with Dreadsteeds is probably not the correct strategy.
Well you can't fill it with Dreadsteeds unless you Faceless one. Worst case scenario you can have 6.
A week of playing Dreadlocks dropped me 7 ranks, but I climbed back with this . . .
It's not as consistent as I'd like, but it works pretty good for a Dreadsteed deck in the current meta.

Nightblade Argent Lance Flame Imp
Argent Watchman Argent Squire Frost Giant
Aviana Hogger Snipe Sea Giant
i crafted two Dreadsteed when i first saw the deck and thought it had potential, now im regretting it everyday.
I think it's fun to play around with, though not a super consistent deck like say Handlock, but it's still fun nonetheless.
