Immediately saw this and thought it was an amazing idea. Had most of the cards and immediately put it together. Instead of 2x Evasion, I went with 2x Hallucination for a bit more of utility.
First game I played was against big priest, and I had the dmg in my hand to finish him off, but sudden betrayal actually made his Shifting Shade kill his Obsidian Statue. Very niche situation I can imagine, but a hilarious interaction that lost me the game.
Biggest thing with this deck is tempo. You don't do a lot early game and I can see it losing to zoo warlock, tempo rogue, almost anything that plays something before turn 3. Still incredibly fun. Going to keep trying it out
You can't have single win condition with 32 damage, as a lot of decks has armor gain now. Also 6+ cards combo for wincondition is also something pretty bad. I had thoughts about maly rogue, but with additional synergy with barnes and sherazin.
Here it is, but I haven't tried it yet. I have all cards except Darkness, so maybe will try today.. This deck is very high on 4 cost drops, so that can be a cons too
EDIT: I changed Darkness, Deadly poison and Cheat death in deck to pirate package (swashburglars and patches) to deal with early aggression and it works perfectly. At least this deck has really great plays against priests for me now :)
Ah, and changed shadowstep to second coin too. Combo with barnes - shadostep token is not reliable and shadowstepping Strider looks not so necessary too
I had a similar idea with a bit of a different strategy: Play Kobold Illusionist, stealth him with Master of Disguise. Next turn you trade the illusionist and get a mini-maly for the win.
3) Kobold Illusionist discounted with Cheat Death secret can potentialy give you easy 4 or even 2 mana Malygos effect on board which is ridiculous.
4) if you have 2 kobolds and malygos in hand you can just throw one of them safely, the opponent may have hard times dealing with it, unable to clear, for example, if it trigger the kobold loop of deathrattles (50% of times). Next turn you can throw away second kobold, trade with first one and get easy malygos without spending additional cards. Sometimes you can even pull off double malygos effect with this approach.
5) Draw all your minions with help of Elven Minstrel and Gadgetzan Auctioneer cycle except Malygos, then barnes to put 4 mana malygos on board (sometimes works because deck has very few minions and Elven Minstrel does the job)
Build choices:
1x Sinister Strike - 1 instead of 2 because its a dead card vs aggro, and vs control you usualy otk after deathknight, so id doesn't actualy necessary to run 2 copies. Better to have 1 Hallucination as more flexible option.
1x Elven Minstrel - you run this card and only 1 copy, just because its a worst pull from Barnes BUT it stabilize the deck just in case you sitting on a dead hand with spells and can't get your auctioneers. This deck has few minions so you most likely draw something useful with it.
2x jade shuriken - vs aggro - its a substitution for si:7 agent cuz you don't want useless minions with Barnes. Vs control - additional burn. Also good for cycle if you pull off auctioneer with kobold deathrattle or Barnes
ps:
you can't beat face hunter, or his spellstone with this deck in 99% of times. This is best vs priests and warlocks so you just simply don't take games vs hunters into account when evaluating how deck performs. This deck can beat aggro paladin with jugglers (murloc paladin is worse though).
I'm going to try a slightly different approach to Malygos Rogue to see how it goes, the idea is to get 2-3 1/1 copies of Maly in your hand with some cheap spells (like Razorpetals), the key card I think would be to shadowstep a Sonya, and when there's a 1/1 Maly on the board (from Barnes/Kobold) play Sonja and Backstab/whatever the maly at the end of the turn. I've had some pretty zany games, and it feels difficult to play, but likely due to my own inabilities.
So let me share the absolute glory of an idea. (ye i know that most people already figured out this, whatever)
1) you play deck with very few minions
2) you play Kobold Illusionist and Malygos.
3) Kobold Illusionist has 3 hp
4) Backstab cost 0 and does 3 dmg with spelldamage on board.
5) you can do Kobold Illusionist + Bloodmage Thalnos or Tainted Zealot to kill your own kobold with Backstab while having Malygos in hand as the only remaining minion to put 6 mana malygos-effect on board
after that you have total of +6 spelldamage bonus on board (thalnos or zealot + 1/1 malygos) and 4 mana left to spend
the damage output:
2x Sinister Strike 9 damage each = 18 damage for 2 mana,
2x Razorpetal 7 damage each = 14 damage for remaining 2 mana (32 total damage)
optionaly: Preparation + Eviscerate = +10 damage.
32+10 = 42 damage total.
Let's try to build a viable deck guys! Suggestions and discussion are welcome!

On the third day before Witchwood, Blizzard gave to me,
three Handlock decks,
two Molten Giants
and a winstreak to Legend Rank #3
Disclaimer: This is a fictional poem and this didn't actually happen to me.
Today so many guys are playing aggro and tempo decks... I think we need to wait till meta settle to more control for Maly-rogue playable :)
Hey ppl, here is decklist which is pretty cool.
Possible combos and strengths of the deck:
1) Kobold Illusionist + Preparation + Shadow Strike your own kobold to get 4 mana Malygos on board and 6 mana leftover for the burn.
2) Kobold Illusionist + Eviscerate your own kobold to get 6 mana Malygos on board and 4 mana left for burn or clear with Fan of Knives in desperate situations (while still saving original Malygos in hand).
I made my own spin on the deck a while back. I gave it a full deathrattle package (w/o n'zoth cause I dont have him yet)
If you cube a malygos and kill it you get spell dmg +10. 2x sinister strike and some eviscerates/razorpetals finish him off.
Even if your win con gets ruined, Sonya Shadowdancer + Kobold Illusionist makes for a nearly infinite board
