And I know a lot of you were saying, and maybe still are that priest as a class got screwed over. Some were even saying that the class cards for priest were comparable to what rouge and warlock got. Having had tried it out and this is today alone, I couldn't disagree more. Ever since I started playing, which was shortly after the beta, Priest has always been my main. I have seen priests go from being ok, to pure shit, and I have to say, for the first time in forever, I have hope for us as a class once more. I felt a very similar way when BRM was released although not nearly to the extent I do now, and the reason I felt that way back then was because I felt like dragons as tribe were very control oriented, so it was natural to assume priest could be very compatible with them, and since then dragon priest has been one of my favorites. Today alone I have had more auto concedes then I've ever Had, this is largely in part thanks to the new dragon two drop we have, and OP miss Mediumwarden. This isn't all we got from this expansion though, sure hunter got two legendaries (really almost like only one) but I like to think we got 4, even though they are not class specific. Most classes cannot make a boast to have such synergies with alot of the neutral legendaries released like priest. The Lightbane/Darkbane sisters for example, no one can repeatedly target a minion with spells quite like priests can, and playing Justicar can be compared to playing a mini prophet velen; and even though it is a stretch we can even semi-effectively play Bolf Ramshield, with PW:S and Velen's Chosen. Like I said I really like dragons, and I like priest even more, if you share my love of priest then you will be happy to know that at least one priest arch-type will be viable from now on, and that's dragon priest. So if you don't mind the drakes you can finally heal to your hearts content(: I wanted to share with you guys some dragon decks that I came up with, one is control while the other is slightly tempo-ish/aggro, let me know what you guys think.
I've really been backing priests this expansion. The dragon priest deck carried me quite a ways before I decided to give shaman a try. I went for a tempo dragon approach, but I still feel priest is best for a more control style with dragons. All in all I'm impressed so far. I've also had a lot of fun with Auchenai priest run the new flash heal and what not.
