That's normal. Priest was top class at a point so it's just fresh to see it bad for a while.
You guys are telling stories from Jurassic Age.
Jurassic Age? 5 months ago priest had Big Priest and Dragon Spitefull just before Witchwood and a little bit earlier was the nerf to Raza. After dominating for half a year and still being a top dog in wild with Big Priest beig a little weak in Standard for half a year feels fair. Plus it had a moment in the sun with Mecha'thun priest and good players can still pull the mally velen priest combo
The problem with priest is that People are trying meme deck, not trying to work with some good tools priest has. I don't like priest, never found it funny to play, but i encounter only meme priest on ladder, and that's sad.
The problem with priest is that the archetypes it tries to play are very weak in the current meta: if you play control you lose to all the combo decks, and to most other control decks wich can either outvalue (warrior) or pressure you heavily (warlock). On the other hand, if you play anything else you get crushed by zoo and odd rogue, and other midrange decks that try to do what you are doing are just way better, like deathrattle hunter.
I can see priest become better maybe next expansion if more support for his archetypes get printed, as of now it's relegated to play ch'tun (relying on drawing hemet on curve to win) or maaaaybe you could try spiteful priest (10 drops are very good rn) but i can't tell.
i am amazed at how many people hate priest being bad.
priest was a top 3-4 class for a long time. it is nice to see it get a turn in the ditch.
i feel like no one can look at the past, but only notice what is happening now. not just with priest. but remember year of the mammoth? everyone wanted a control meta, then when we get one, people ask for it to stop.
blizz can't please everyone.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Raza was arguably not even the strongest deck at the time. Jade Druid and Tempo Rogue were likely better. Remember that?
no, no one remembers that. all i remember is raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza. then maybe someone else. but then raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza, raza.

Remember how shit warrior was for one year? And how shitty it still is in wild? Dont cry over priest if it isnt meta for 1 expansion lol, the winrates are low because the class takes skill and alot of people try to make topsy turvy OTK work. Also, the playrates are low because the class is boring as fuck
i see a few control warriors rank 5+ in wild. and they do ok. maybe not top meta. but they can make a decent control deck.

That only means Priest is not as popular and most people aren't even trying or experimenting with it.
No one wants to try and fail, they just want the decklist that will get them to rank 5 or legend without thinking. Whenever you see guides for legend decks posted or whenever streamers hit legend with something off meta, what do people say? "Ok now give me the deck code." No one wants to think for themself, they just want the decklist. They don't want to think about tech cards or what's good and why, or what their local meta is, they just want to be told the exact decklist with mulligan guide.
Priest is absolutely viable.

Not everybody has the card collection to experiment and play around :(.

Make a budget version of whatever deck you're trying to make, then see if you can win at low ranks.
Or just do the usual Priest thing and make something based on Divine Spirit/Inner Fire.

mage ? druid ?
lol
Now I know why there are so many people requesting nerfs for Spreading Plague... but hmm won't it make zoo like 50% of the meta?

I would like priest to have something real to play with around dragons and deathrattle, not combostuff like trying to make boars with 64 attack.

I am really happy that the priest class is dead(At least on standard). Just saying.
Learn to play around Scream instead of hating it.
