Hunter took Druids place cause it has now multiple viable archetypes, so I understand the frustration and boredom of seeing 5+ hunters in a row, but the class is fine.
DK doesn't need a nerf. Most of games it is just huge tempo loss, and the games it shines still aren't auto-win like Quest Rogue once was, for example.
Spellstone seems a bit OP but the strongest Hunter deck doesn't even play it. The prediction is that soon enough its counters will bring Hunter play rate back to normal.
Cubelock shuts Spell Hunter, Odd Rogue put a clock against Cube Hunter. Once they get targeted, the meta changes. Not a big deal fellas.
I feel like removing Vicious Scalehide from the Zombeast pool would help a lot, although that wouldn't solve the problem of turn 5 12/12 into turn 6 12/12.
Wrong. it is t4 + coin 12/12 into t5 12/12 in 99% of the time you play against a spellstone abuser.
Yeah that's not true, I played a lot of hunter and it's not very consistent, fully buffed Spellstone coined on turn 4 is very rare. Happens once every 10 games or so.

But in turn 5 is pathetic easy, much more easy than a fully upgraded rogue spellstone in turn 15...
This card is beyond the broken level, why is not nerfed yet is a mistery.
I really don't understand why Blizzard like so much this crap metas where a class reign supreme, already happens with druid, shaman, warlock, paladin and now hunter.
If something is broken and out of balance nerf immediately, in the spot, instead we have months and months the BS OP cards making the ladder a terrible repetition of the same matches vs the broken class.
biggest problem with spellstone is that base is 5 mana 6/6 they should turn it into 5 mana 3/3 if you control a secret summon another 3/3 so if he has a secret at turn 5 he gets 12/12 if he doesnt he get 9/9
While i dont particularily like Hunter decks as they are currently, there is plenty of decks that beat them, and to be honest there are a lot of decks i dont like playing against that triggers me more than the current hunter builds. I dont really see that hunter needs a nerf right now.
Err: freezing trap only increasing cost by 1, candleshot 2 durability
wtf: eaglethorn to 4 mana, zul'jin only casting 5 spells max.
A S C E N D E D: hunter having its hero power disabled for the entire game, all hunter cards cost 10, no hunter, instant loss for picking hunter, hunter unable to rank up, losing your entire collection when you pick hunter, hunter costs $10 to play for each time you play, all hunter players being sent to siberia, firing all developers responsible for any hunter card, bombarding blizzard whenever anyone in there thinks of hunter, travelling back in time to torture the world of warcraft developer to never create a hunter class: which results in no hunter class ever being made in hearthstone. Going back in time and causing a huge war on technology: resulting in game development being behind for decades and thus hearthstone not existing which means no hunter.
So yeah those are some ideas, seem pretty fair to me.
So the last suggestion.. basically what they did to Druid?
Personally, I hate hunter's recruit and deathrattle variants the most. It can feel fairly bad to have someone play a 6/6, get a 7/7 charge (or 8/8), then have it cubed and activated. No point complaining about it though, I'm just taking it easy and not worrying too much about ranking up until the rotation. I don't think Rexxar is the issue with hunter, it's the support cards put so much pressure on you. If you aren't ahead or you're playing a class that doesn't have an answer to their swing turn, you're pretty much dead. Feels very high roll. Especially when they drop keleseth on 2. Nothing worse than playing a minion that gets you in the game, then he drops a spider bomb and activates it twice and that's it. Hunter has a lot of answers right now, and the amount of deathrattle power it runs makes it very tough to stabilize.
Sadly if anything gets nerfed it's gotta be DK Rexxar simply because it rotates in april. If they nerfed any of the major spells or zul'jin it would result with hunter probably being left with one of the worst hero cards in the game......again (talking about pre-witchwood rexxar)
Increase the cost of all cards below 5, up to 6.... remove the hero power... Give all beast cards a requirement of paying 100 gold each time it's played in advance... Ban all players that play the Hunter class...
As much as I hate to admit it, it's Hunter's time to shine. I hate playing and playing against Hunter decks. But they all have their time in the sun.
If any hunter players want to enjoy DK Rexxar for the next 3-4 months maybe just take a small break from playing hunter or he will be nerfed and you will be unhappy in the long run. The ability to create the perfect beast suited to what each game/turn requires is a great concept. But from when Rexxar used to have all the crappy wild beasts that were still in the set even after they rotated has now become less and less of rng and more of a consistent threat each turn for example, minions with rush/lifesteal, cave hydra with poison and rush, and for some odd reason tundra rhino is now the most common one i see and i only used to see the rhino once in a blue moon.
Anyways food for thought for all hearthstone players, even thought something may be fun to play don't abuse it because it will be nerfed. That being said i saw someone say the other day that the hero power should be more expensive for a potential nerf and i just don't think that would do it because by the time opponents are ready to finally get some minions to go face against a hunter they have already been stocking up on zombeasts from previous turns meanwhile stalling with secrets and any other hunter board control spells. I'm thinking a potential nerf could be the zombeast is destroyed in the hunter's hand if they don't play it soon enough so they can't just keep stocking up on perfect survivability minions.
The title speaks for itself, what do you think is the worst way they could butcher hunter like they did druid?
You can't just say "nerf Rexxar", that would be like nerfing UI which would have been actually reasonable. To achieve the same butchering effect, they need to select classic cards to solve this issue that they created by printing OP expansion cards so that the class stays butchered after the problem cards rotate
Bonus points for nerfing core cards that relate to the class identity/flavor and leaving up cards with mechanics that belong to class identities of other classes. Much like how fiery war axe was the ideal nerf target to help new players understand that "best weapons" is a warrior thing, multiple ramp cards were nerfed to the same effect. Druid amour cards, on the other hand, are totally balanced and flavorful. New players might have gotten confused if they nerfed druid armor cards and mistaken warrior for the armor class
In a few months (April/May) Deathstalker Rexxar will rotate out along Swamp King Dred, Kathrena Winterwisp, Rhok'delar. Charged Devilsaur, Carnivorous Cube, Crushing Walls, To My Side!, Devilsaur Egg, Venomstrike Trap, Lesser Emerald Spellstone, Wandering Monster, Play Dead, Candleshot, and Flanking Strike.
After which Hunter should drop from the meta like a lead balloon.
DK Rexarr wasn't so strong before introducing Rush in WW. With rush minions Hunter can easy control the board and heal himself. Lifesteal + rush, poisonous + rush, devine shield + rush and you're done. And sometimes + echo. If blizzard cange frequency for some beasts like scalehide, it could solve the problem without changing card's manaconst.
I think that Hunter is definitely unbalanced and those of you who say "they don't need to nerf them as their best cards rotate soon" need to look at how they completely fucked druid. In my honest opinion i feel Hunter's Mark needs the same nerf that Execute got. I also believe that they need to do more with hunters classic set because lets be honest every tier 1 hunter deck has run the same 3-4 basic cards since launch! And IF you dont think they need to change it then LOOK at druid the most nerfed class in hearthstone

eaglethorn, mark, animal, freezing trap, kill command
If they nerf Dk Rexxar, then Im done with Hearthstone - that card enables control hunter which is my favorite hunter deck of all time.

Blizzard wont nerf Hunter. A lot of cards will rotate out in 3 months.

They should really nerf rexxar to higher manacost and put stone stacking for 2 secrets, not one
Just as every druid card rotates out too, but everyone seems to be glad they nerfed it for no reason.
