Dear Friends!
Thank you for upvoting our deck.
Both me (Ashley) and healbot got a Legend EU with this deck.
Prove.
Let's talk about playing this Evolve Shaman by our point of view.
We started to play this deck from Rank 5 and higher.
We don't know how it works below Rank 5. You can tell us.
First of all.
When we published this Shaman there were a lot of other Shamans (Aggro or Midrange), but we never seen Evolve among them.
So, this deck was really unexpectable.
Last few days we saw some famous streamers, who played same (almost same) deck.
But there are still a lot of opponents, who doesn't know about this Evolve Combo.
General Information.
The main card of this deck is Evolve. Evolve transforms your minions to random that costs one more mana. There were some decks with Evolve, most popular of them were with Barnes or Pantry Spider. But there were a lot of random and weak minions, so we forgot Evolve Shamans until Mean Streets of Gadgetzan was released.
Now the key Combo of our deck is Doppelgangster + Evolve. After this we have three 6th drops on the board. There are 68 minions that cost 6 mana. Most of them are strong, and just 3 are weak: Big-Time Racketeer, Corrupted Seer and Moat Lurker.
So we have 65 of 68 good drops. It’s about 96%.
9 of them are Taunts, 2 of them with a charge.
Sounds nice.
Replacements.
We tried several decks of Shaman, and stopped at Midrange Shaman without Jade, but with 2 copies of Jinyu Waterspeaker, because of his great stats and healing skill. Also we have Mass Removals, Hexes and Taunts.
This deck has 29 constant cards and one slot for additional WinCon.
We tried Bloodlust, Brann Bronzebeard and Earth Elemental. Maybe White Eyes will be good too.
But the last version is with Devolve. It is really unexpectable card for opponent. It clears all Deathrattles, Draws, Taunts and other unpleasant minions.
Devolve is your 5th AoE, because of my luck just 4 is not enough for me. Kappa.
Bloodlust and Brann Bronzebeard are good versus Control Decks (Reno, Taunt etc.)
Earth Elemental is good versus Aggro (Pirate) Decks.
Statistics.
We played more than 250 games with overall Win Rate 55%, but the latest version with Devolve has a score 32-22 with total superiority vs Warriors 10-2.
It is hard to play vs Druids 2-4 and Warlocks 6-9.
Priests 3-3, Rogues 9-8.
How to play?
Aggro decks. (Warrior, Rogue, Shaman).
When we see three these classes, we thought that it is a Pirate Aggro Deck.
Mulligan.
Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem, Spirit Claws and Lightning Bolt.
Also we advice you to keep Hex for Frothing Berserker, Edwin VanCleef and Flamewreathed Faceless.
Maelstrom Portal is also useful to stop starting aggression.
Strategy.
Remove threats, make good trades, control the board. Always try to plan: what you will play next turn. Be careful of Overload. Beware of "OMG WTF Face Burst".
Control or Reno decks. (Warlocks, Mages, Priest or Druids).
Warlocks and Mages have a lot of AOE, so our key is to find Combo as soon as possible.
Priests and Druids have real big problems with Combo.
Mulligan.
Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem - are good in any Matchup.
Mana Tide Totem we need maximum draw.
Doppelgangster, Evolve with a coin.
Tips.
Use your removals with maximum vlaue. You have 12 additional health in your deck. Sometimes you need to endure more damage, but then clear more opponent's minions. (Same as Control Warrior).
Play Tempo Doppelgangster in aggro or tempo matchups.
Before playing Hex try to imagine: can your opponent play better targets for it in couple of turns.
So, that's it. Maybe we forgot something. We will answer your questions and will update or fix our description.
Excuse me for my English.
With best regards,
Ashley and hea1bot.
Short video about modern Evolve Shaman after Mean Streets of Gadgetzan released.
It has potential but was very inconsistent for me. I had to play it like a control deck because it's too slow to put enough pressure on the opponent(unless you get the perfect draws) and the problem was that it had too many cheap cards that won't make much difference if you play past turn 5, so I removed 2 maelstrom portal and added 2 fire elemental. After that it worked better in long games and fire elemental also have great evolve value.
Tested in casual and rank 22
WTF
I got rank 7
I find that devolve is really useful for getting rid of taunts when you need to go face. Also helps with all the deathrattles like white eyes and aya.
or when jade start to get crazy.
Here are some replacement suggestions when you prefer to spend gold in arenas more than in "adventures". I went from rank 20 to 14 with these cards. They are enough to survive both pirate warriors and jade druides.
Spirit Claws x2 ==> Doomhammer + Rockbiter Weapon
Tunnel Trogg x2 ==> Flametongue Totem + Unbound Elemental
Maelstrom Portal x2 ==> Acidic Swamp Ooze x2
EDIT : Ok, so pirate warriors are not so easy to defeat with these replacements, so instead of Call in the Finishers x2, I suggest now Acidic Swamp Ooze x2. A warrior needs a buffed weapon to snowball with pirates. Ooze is also a good counter to other Shaman's Spirit Claws.
You've misread me man. I'm not saying my replacements are an improvement to the deck to survive better pirate warriors and jade druids. What I'm saying is : you can play this deck without paying for adventures cards, and here are some suggestions.
Replace for Spirit Claws ?
This deck is amazing. Took me from 12-5 tonight over a few hours going with a 63% win rate. Agreed with the other posters, most players don't see the combo coming.
Key seems to be to not over-flood the board and bait out AoE to deal with a board full of totems, then use card draw cards to fill back up- or a Thing from Below / Mana Tide Totem combo to sneak in a card or two mid-round.
Also don't be afraid to wait a little bit for the combo! Still sucks to pull Doomsayer .. but it also is a nice inadvertent AoE :)
Thank you again! No idea if I can go 25 games over .500 the next two days to hit Legend, but I'm gonna try.
was stuck at rank 7/8 for a bit, but just got rank 5 with this deck

If I was to bring this into wild, would there be any instant replacements I should know of? Slowly want to start getting into wild but I know absolutely nothing about what cards really shine on the other side of the spectrum.
I cant break the rank 15 , bouncing 16-15 back and forth.
OMG! This deck is so good and fun to play! Even my losing opponents are enjoying! Really thanks guys!!!
This is my second month in Hearthstone, last one i played just a bit and finished below rank 20 only. I was rank 17 this morning and now I'm 10. And looks like games are getting easier!
Jinyu Waterspeaker has been useless for me so far. I played about 15 games in this deck. Any suggestion for replacement?
M8!
He is one of the key cards here.
went from rank 16 to 8 and still climbing
Thank you guys for this incredible deck! I spent 1100 dust to craft all missing shaman cards and it was absolutely worth it!
Deck is just STOMPING! Currently i climbed from rank 16 to rank 12 for a couple of hours and it seems like the process is not going to stop. All of my opponents (cancer Jade druid, pirate/dragon warrior, inkmaster reno mage and renolock) can't do a thing against evolve-devolve mechanics used in this deck.
Thank you so much Ashley and healbot for bringing this beautiful constructed! Will try it a couple more days to see how far could i go with it.
Cheers!
Yesterday decided to craft this deck instead of Spark's S33 Hunter. I had 1 Loe Wing and 4 Karazhan Wings with 1250dust. Spent 1800 dust to craft Evolve Shaman (Damn u Thalanos) (total spent 3030 dust).
I don't know all the cards and meta so i couldn't play around but im learning.
Reno Lock did 4-5 aoe's and cucked me hard. Some form of Priest with annoying legendaries and aoe's was also pain as well as Jade Druid with Spells. Need to learn how to play around Reno Lock since i had the perfect hand and still lost. So far hardest for me is Reno Lock, Druid and Priest.
Went from rank 20 to 15 and my stats Win:20 Loss: 10
Druid 1:2, Mage 6:1, Sham 2:2, Hunter 1:0, Rogue 3:0 ,Lock 0:2, Paladin 2:1, Priest 2:1, Warrior 3:2,
Update 27th December: I loose a lot more when playing in the morning than evening. Lost few funny matches:
1. vs Pirate Warrior - im on 2hp and do double evolve to find a taunt and got a taunt but also got Baron Gideon and Acid Maw . Baron deals 2 hp to me and all minions i loose and Maw kills all my minions :D
2. vs Murlock Pala - im winning and than evolve got me a Doomsay - i lost :D
So what can I include replacing Thalnos, Maelstrom, and Spirit Claws?
its literally impossible to win with this deck against ANY reno deck its good against aggro tho .. went from 3 to 5 feelsgood
if you often struggle against reno decks, test this one bro
