Recently, MrYagut hit top 10 legend with his dragon spiteful druid on stream, with an astounding winrate of 100% on a scale of 16 games. This list, unlike the other spiteful druids, runs the dragon package, 2 copies of Cobalt Scalebane, Twilight Drake, Scaleworm, Wyrmguard & Primordial Drake. Not only does this give it a ton of late game tools against control, but it also allows you to zone out aggro from the game with the likes of Scaleworm & Wyrmguard. This version runs 2x Spellbreaker & Harrison Jones to allow you to win against warlock.

Thank you for all the feedback! I'll be post the guide soon.
another strong taunt or dragon creature should be fine.
I love Spiteful Druid! The previous meta SD got me from rank 9 to rank 3 with one loss and this one so far is 6 wins - 0 losses and got me from rank 10 to rank 8, looks very promising. Gotta go sleep now, will keep trying tomorrow
Can anyone explain me why play Spiteful Druid over Spiteful Priest? It just seem worse for me, since almost all of the key cards here is neutral, except for Malfurion and UI, which I don't think are good enough to play this version. Priest also can clear the board with Duskbreakers, has 4 spells instead of 2, making almost impossible draw all of them and has better early drops imo.
I guess people try it because they're tired of playing spiteful priest/don't have the cards to play it/see it as a new and exciting deck
But yeah, I totally agree.
Having 4 big spells makes the deck more consistent, and 2 of them being 8 mana means you get access to one of the most impactful mana pools (10 drops are big but lack taunt or effects). They are also pretty damn powerful.
They have access to twilight acolyte which is perfect for this kind of deck
Duskbreaker not only resets the board in turn 4 and puts you on the lead, but also means you don't have to run a bunch of one drops which will spoil your draws later on.
And cards like curious glimerroot and northshire cleric mean you are less likely to run out of gas, and they also reinforce your twilight drake.
UI is insanely powerful and malfurion is decent, but they don't make up for the rest of the deck.
This deck is terrible. It literally REVOLVES around you having the GREAT rng of not drawing UI. If you draw UI, you lose. It has potential, but is ENTIRELY dependent on outstanding RNG. I put in time, played 50 games with this deck and did not climb rank. Several games I drew both UI in opening hand, which is definite loss, and 27 out of 50 games I drew one UI, which set me up to draw the other close enough to lose value and lose matches as a result.
It's a GREAT deck if you're very lucky, and a terrible deck if you're not. I highly advise against crafting anything for this deck, as it's not dependable at all.
Welcome to every deck in the meta right now.
not overly true but it is a greedy eu deck. Eu players are in general very greedy thus they ignore classes like rogue which shits on this pretty hard as you have no removals for clan thug
I've played a few games at rank 4-3 with this (probably about 8) and it seems like a tier 2 deck.
I don't know if I've been unlucky but I seem to draw both UIs before I can spiteful ridiculously often. And I'm not greedy, if I get an opening hand with spiteful against a slow deck I'll mostly keep it.
I've beaten all paladins I've faced (3 odd, 1 even if I recall correctly), I've beaten all taunt druids (2), I've lost to a cubelock, and I've beaten an odd rogue. The main problem I have with this deck is that you can't really be agressive, but you don't have a lot of value either. It's a highroll deck with the keleseths and the spitefuls.
(and before someone comments ''you won 7 and lost 1, and you call the deck tier 2?'' I'm playing at rank 4-3 18 days into the season, the players at these ranks are mostly shit rn. And I'm judging from experience.
BEST deck so far in this new Meta
startet 6 hours ago and Went from r15 to r9 still winning
awesome!
Hey guys, I've replaced one Glacial Shard for Leeroy Jenkins. I saw that another spiteful druid deck used it so I tried. Can't say if it improves my winrate, I'll tell you. BTW nice deck, +1.
Long game we got here haha... Value too stronk with this deck though :D !
Really good deck! Took me from 10 to rank 5 easy. Very good vs paladin, even Mutch vs warlock.
Neutral-stone...
seriously these dumb 100% win rate clickbait titles need to stop.
yeah they do the meta would argue with these results.
I love how consistent this deck is at annihilating the opposition :P The WR is fantastic and so is the deck overall. I never play druid usually but I had a fantastic time trying this deck out. I definitely recommend giving this a try if you are trying to climb right now, you won't regret it.
I made a video showcasing the deck in all of its glory, I hope you enjoy.
Replace Grand Archivist with Zola the Gorgon to create a third copy of Spiteful Summoner
This is a decent idea, but Grand Archivist has also been a great method of slightly earlier card draw for me as this deck lacks some draw. This works especially well if you've already played Prince Keleseth as you get a hand full of buffed minions.
If Grand Archivist was guaranteed to target an enemy minion, it would definitely be a better inclusion, but I like your thinking.
I agree 100%. Especially since EVERY SINGLE TIME I have used Grand Archivist it has hit ME with the Ultimate Infestation! I cannot stand that card. I have replaced it in all of my decks and dusted them. I absolutely HATE that card.
Love the Dragon edition more than the other version
