Divine banana can become Holy sh!t banana when Stand against darkness receives shields.
I love the art on this card! Can't wait to try it with all these 1/2 elementals!
I like it. Uther is my favorite hero and I always TRY to play paladin. I'm definitely going to try to make this work as a jade counter. Aggro /flood paladin with this guy as a finisher? And if you draw him late game he helps you contest huge jades? Possibly a deck defining card for a 2nd tier deck.
I doesn counter Jades in know way possible.
Jade decks just keep growing and growing, specially the infinite value of a Jade Druid.
Playing this against a Jade deck, is a set up for failure, it wont stop the next upcoming X/X Jade.
I dont think the card is terrible but, for the current meta and with whats available now, it doesnt do anything on the board.
I put this as "Playable" though I suspect he may secretly be "Very Good". The thing that strikes me about him is he's a 3/7 Taunt, which means he'll eat 3 separate enemy minions without further interactions post Battlecry (i.e. 2x 3/3s die to smashing him but leave him at 3/1). In other words he, he buffs your Silver Hand Recruits (while possibly nerfing other minions) and presents a formidable wall to opponent's board despite whatever minions he/she had in play.
It's worth considering that this card has the same train of thought as Dinosize: "If you have Silver Hand Recruits or other junk tokens on the board in the late game, this card is nuts." Maybe we'll continue to see cards that support this theme.
For now, just note that this is a fantastic on-curve follow-up to Finja, the Flying Star. Enable a clean trade between Finja and whatever your opponent plays, and then Finja lives on one health if its effect pulls a Murloc Warleader.
Look at it this way, there are 3 scenarios you can drop this card into:
1.) Your opponent has a board and you don't. Hopefully this weakens it a decent amount and if your opponent doesn't have easy removal for this thing, they're going to have to trade 2 or 3 of their minions into it. Not bad at all, but unlikely.
2.) You and your opponent both have a board. Assuming your minions are able to attack, you just enabled all of your minions (which may have just been recruits naturally) to trade with any of your opponent's minions guaranteed, made even stronger for every Divine Shield you've got on your side. Or you can ignore your opponent's hopefully weakened board and go face, knowing that they have to push through the Taunt to try and race you. This scenario seems decently likely if pally gets more token cards (R.I.P standard Justicar) and results in some damn good board control I'd say.
3.) You have a board and your opponent does not. Assuming your board is primarily recruits, it's basically a +1/+1 Quartermaster with Taunt (which considering how class-defining that card was until Mysterious Challenger came along, I'd say that seems preeeeety good). Old school midrange Paladin with Justicar, Muster for Battle, and Quartermaster just got a new friend in Wild.
So basically, I expect this guy would be a pretty solid board control card in token-based Paladin decks. Whether or not that will be useful at all in the upcoming Standard remains to be seen (that new card Dinosize also works pretty well with tokens, so maybe???).
The thing is that Keeper of Uldaman is 4 Mana and this guy isnt
After this expansion, 3/5 of the Paladin Legendaries will have Taunt o.o
Fun fact: 2 have Taunt and Divine Shield.
Eadric the Pure's viable brother. This thing is going to be really strong against the Jades as well as N'Zoth decks because of its debuff, and if you play your deck around it it makes your minions powerful while making the enemy's useless. Combine that with a 5/7 Taunt body for 6 mana (which, as we've all seen from Dark Arakkoa, can be very useful), and you've got one heck of a Paladin legendary.
Where are you getting 5/7? Looks like 3/7 to me.
Oh, read the card wrong. Sorry.
People keep saying that it's a counter to Jades. How could paladins remove a huge minion like Ysera, or Ragnaros the Firelord? Either trade, or Equality, or Keeper of Uldaman it, then trade with Rallying Blade or Truesilver Champion. This is what the card is going to do. Bring big minions with dangerous ability to levels where you can chop them down with your weapon or small minions.
Also, give me the golden version of it. I think it's going to be sick.
And off the topic. They are making Tol'vir a thing. I hope they give us more Titan related stuff, more Uldum and at last Therazane the stone mother. We got all other 3 elemental lords so far and not her. Maybe she is the new Shaman legendary
This is hopefully going to work nicely vs. N'Zoth, the Corruptor. With Sylvanas Windrunner gone and whatever is to come you'd like to think that the average stat line he brings back will be over 3/3 meaning that this has some solid potential there.

Oh gosh, i gonna need to start running Wailing Soul in my decks, lol.
it's a ok~good card.
And there's Sergeant Sally, who may or may not combo really well with this guy.
Again your casual perception of this game just gives rise to more cancer and nerfs to cards that aren't even out yet.
