I have. It destroys the card and you don't get the Battlecry. Your The Darkness is stuck at 2/3 :-(
Played this in a Mill warrior and managed to burn a candle 3/5 games. They don't trigger the darkness when burned, the "when drawn" bit is important
I have, it completely screws the Darkness player. They now have a minion that can't attack and is taking up a spot on the board. It can't be removed, too. Super annoying.
Today I was playing against some Pirate Warrior bots in the 10-5 bracket of EU Wild, it seems The Darkness causes them to completely spaz out. Each turn they were trying to target it with a spell from their hand (most likely Mortal Strike) while it was still dormant, until they end up roping their turn with all mana unused. Pretty amusing.

Can anyone help me out with this? I just played a game against a Razakus (Reno) Priest with my own Reno Mage deck, and I couldn't heal my hero back to 30 health when only the last candle of The Darkness was in my deck. Is this a bug? Shouldn't Reno fully heal me when "my deck doesn't have duplicates"? I'm pretty sure that at that point my deck didn't contain any duplicates, so it really bothered me that I wasn't able to fully heal my hero when there was not a single duplicate card in my deck. I was only able to trigger Reno's effect the next turn after I had drawn the last candle by then, so it seems like you can't trigger Reno's effect when there's still 1 candle from the Darkness left in your deck.
No, he didn't play it with Brann, and I knew for certain that there was only 1 candle left in my deck, because the turn after I had wanted to play my Reno, I drew a card at the start of my turn which was the last candle that summoned the Darkness. I think this might be a bug.
As Shaman you can use Murmuring Elemental to double the candle, it's quiet easy to find the Candle.
But, I found that this method is not very efficient, U need 6 mana to prepare this meme. They will see it's coming & The Darkness will countered by many spells (Devolve & Mind Control are the worse). Instead of 'The Darkness' I prefer to use 'The Dankness' as the name for this card
It's good that the Candle can disassemble Kazakus & Raza the Chained battlecry btw
I use him with Valeera The Hollow in Rogue. That way you double the candles AND get two 20/20 bodies on board. :)
My 3rd game of the new expansion, my opponent plays him turn 4, I have 22 cards in deck including the 3 candles. I draw all three, in a row for something like a 1 in 8000 chance and lose on turn 6. I wish I had it on video. It was truly a site to see.
would this work with Guild Recruiter or would it just come out as dormant?
