When will Blizzard realize that destroying a mana crystal might be worth just a little bit more than 1 mana...
Well, thinking positive, at 10 mana there's no draw back, and while Felguard is an early game tool, this is more of a late game one.
looks a bit weak, i think it should be 3 mana for a decent/playable version
Yet another Yogg nerf.
I'm watching the stream right now and it's kinda sad how Frodan and Matt are trying to make up reasons why you would play this card. Like, ever.
They're shills, they're going to hype every horrible card from this set. Blizzard wouldn't give them the insider stuff they do if they didn't hype like this, so technically it's their job. It seems like this game has really gone done since ONIK.
Or you could compare it to Assassinate, which costs 1 more and is never ever played.
And if you're right and it's best to keep your hard removal until the late game, then why pick this card over Siphon Soul?
Fair question, but with the amount of threats you'll see late game with Jade decks (even Grimy Goons) there will be plenty of targets for not only Siphon Soul to be played, but Blastcrystal Potion as well. Keep in mind too that this costs 2 less mana, which is a pretty big deal. 4 mana removal with 6 mana to play with afterward is a lot better than 6 mana removal with only 4 mana to play with. That's an extra Life Tap :-)
Also, I think we might see a little more play with Assassinate. That is a complete guess on my part with this one, but again I feel the level of high priority targets is going to skyrocket; and hard removal, like 1 card 1 death removal, is going to be so premium it's ridiculous.
I totally agree with you but to be honest, i don't think there will be any way to defeat Jade Golem decks once they reach late game. No matter how many removal you have.
We're talking about 1 mana 10/10's (or more) here, every single turn. Or even more than one per turn. The only counter i see here is hope that they play too much and you can Twisting Nether a whole board or something like that.
Haha by all means you are correct. If it becomes a fatigue war, Jade Druid is going to be unstoppable. Control decks now are going to be conforming into a slightly more mid-range deck, one that can get the job done before you hit turn 15+. That's my idea of the best option. I think Handlock could get the job done tbh, with the right draw (Drakes, Moltens, etc.) you could have them dead before it gets TOO out of hand lol.
