April 2016 Card Nerf
It was announced on April 20th, 2016 that Blade Flurry would receive a nerf.
- Mana cost increase to 4, up from 2.
- Now only deals damage to enemy minions - does not include the Hero.

This one got hit by the nerfhammer the hardest. Its unplayable now
Well this one card was the thing that Rogue did and just Rogue did. Either sitting on a weapon charge to potentially AoE the board back or growing up a tiny Dagger into a game ending burst. This was the most broken thing Rogue did and lately it was not enough on ladder. This was a large portion of Rogue's identity as a class. The old Rogue is dead. All we have is hope that the new Rogue will actually be a class and not just the experience of losing your stars.
Doomhammer is still the same... i'm just sad and sorry for rogue class. not only it's for 4 mana and deals damage only to minions... I mean come on blizz... does it have to be that way???
I feel that this nerf completely destroys rogues ability to use weapons. They basically have a 2 mana worst light's justice and a 3 mana (if used on the same turn) Firery war axe. The only opitimistic part here is having an assasin blade with deadly poison for 6 mana at 5/4 (or more realistically a turn 6 5/3 with 5 mana leftover and combo enabled.) But Since blade furry can only hit minions and not face its now a "control weapon." however rogue cant really take damage when using it as a control weapon since they dont have the heals ( as a paladin) or the armor (as a warrior) to keep on control. As in for shaman and hunter, they have better synergy to use their weapon's for face since their spells and hero power can keep them aggressive. Now if we look at the aggro side of using an assassin's blade + deadly poison you then realize that you should actually be playing aggro shaman. Aggro shaman with spells such as rockbitter + doomhammer, earth shock to get past taunts, and spell burst makes an aggro rogue feel week with an assasinblade + deadly poison, sap the taunt for only 1 turn....., ( time to run owl) and sinister strike and evisirate for burst. Aggro shaman > Aggro rogue Blade flurry allowed it to combo very effectively as either a board clear ( even if it only had deadly poison becuz mill rogue still ran it) or a finisher and it can't even do either effectively anymore. Sad day to be a rogue.
Can someone help me understand this nerf?
Let's talk cheapest solution: to use Blade Flurry you need to equip Dagger Mastery for 2 mana, put on Deadly Poison for 1 and then play the board clear. So it is a 5 mana Consecration with one more damage. But now, we have a 7 mana Flamestrike with one less damage. If they really wanted to stop this card, they could've just altered the text to say 'enemy minions'. Maybe, just maybe an increase to 3 mana. But 4? I really don't get it... And I am desperately trying to...
blizzard hates rogue from the beginning of alpha....

I think they nerfed it because they are adding cards that increase your weapon damage? So, mayyyybe everything will turn out okay. They did say that this card was an "obstacle to adding better cards for the Rogue". Maaaaybe a nerf to this card will be balanced in the future. We have to wait for tomorrow and see at least.
The only card that made rogues semi (at best) viable in constructed nerfed in to fucking oblivion. They better be getting some AMAZING class cards.

Miracle rogue is gaining so much in the expansion and lost very little. It would have been broken in Standard when it came out. You can play a standard miracle rogue deck right now and still do just as well as some other current decks.
Poor rogues. Savage Roar Blizz? That nerf is just... I don't get it. Elaborate plz.
Savage roar is perfectly fine on it's own, the same with bloodlust because it requires a board to be present, the big problem was force of nature and they fixed that.
What kills the card is that it no longer hits face. Rogue has a hard time doing enough damage in control matchups, and the burst from this card made them only lose 90% of the time. I honestly thing this should have been left alone, Rogue only has a few weapon buffs, and it's pretty easy to remove a weapon, nerfing bladeflurry so hard really hurts. Rogue isn't much of a viable option right now, and though there are some strong class cards coming, this nerf might set them back even farther.

the whole minion thing is okay, that's actually a healthy nerf, but the additional mana nerf just ruins the card completely...
If anything, some really control heavy Reno-rogue would use this because of Rogue's shitty boardclears...other than that, this card is pretty much dead

Or you could start to use Dark Iron Skulker and Fan of Knives more effectively? Plus there are more cards to be released. If any class has a reason to whine right now, it's Druid.
