Oh, and another thing. IMO you simply can't seriously hope to draw any specific game-winning cheap card considering how much of them you have now with literally NO card draw whatsoever. Nearly one-third of your deck is very situational right now and it seems like a death sentence considering how many well refined and crazy decks are out there. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm talking from experience.
Looking forward to that list then :) And I just have to disagree about this list not needing a card draw against Aggro. Strongly. What about Divine Favor? Unite the Murlocs? Wispering Woods? Other cards which are endlessly flooding the board while being cheap and not resource demanding?
Kinda agree about Mad Scientist on this list though.
Seems pretty good! Just not sure about Hex Lord Malacrass. I feel like it's too much of a tempo drop. Sure, he is unique and cool in some way, but... Nah, not gonna craft him just to try it out :D
Oh, and you're not running the most powerful card in the game for some reason. I'm referring to Mad Scientist of course.
The idea itself is really cool, the decklist though... not so much. Why would you ever play not just one but TWO copies of Dead Man's Hand and almost no draw (like Acolyte of Pain or Coldlight Oracle)?
Sad but true. Against aggro often enough it's just a high/low roll fiesta: did you get both Doomsayers and Dragon's Fury in time or not? Basically the same situation with Warlocks and Inner FirePriests (Polymorph and Skulking Geist)...
The thing is this deck doesn't really need Skulking Geist. But, like I said before, "if you're facing a lot of Jade Druids, it becomes a decent option". Usually, you will struggle because of losing tempo, not value game. But even if somehow you will not defeat Jade Druid with Bloodreaver Gul'dan AND N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Rin, the First Disciple should be more than enough.
I would recommend swapping Spellbreaker for Skulking Geist if you still want to include it. It's a couple of tech cards anyway.
Lol. Whatever, man, I'm not trying to convince you that card is "bad in general". It's decent. Sometimes. However, that's not enough. At least for me.
I saw people who run Flamewaker in usual Reno Mage XD Arcane Artificer for sure is more appropriate there than this annoying random piece of shit. But nothing more. I will always choose (for example) Antique Healbot over Arcane Artificer. And it's nothing personal. Just... in my opinion cards which don't do anything AND (when the condition is met) don't win you the game by themselves do not worth much. Or, in other words, I dislike them.
Stubborn? Huh. Maybe. But I prefer "confident". And "experienced" :)
You want me to say something good about this card? Fine.
It's very good versus Midrange Hunter. And Razakus Priest. End of story.
But since this card is meant for the late game, it's bad against Aggro/Face decks, which usually are the main reason to put any heal into your deck in the first place. And guess what can be good against them? Yup, 8 HP for only 3 mana. And more than that, you can specifically DRAW Ice Barrier/Ice Block from Arcanologist or Mad Scientist (if you're playing in the Wild format like me). Besides, Arcanologist and Mad Scientist both are great early game minions as well.
And now a bit off-topic. Blizzard forced so-called Big Mage this expansion. It's just stupid. To give up on EVERY spell below 5 mana? Ha! And for what? For a random board clear? And 2/2 beast which uses Joust to draw you a spell?! Ha-ha-ha-ha... Cool story. And nope, this idea is almost as bad as Taunt Warrior back in the days of The Grand Tournament. Better than Freeze Shaman though, but that doesn't count for much XD
And by the way, they did not give ANY good cards for Reno/Control Mage. EVERY Mage card in this expansion is meant either for Big Spell or Elemental Mage. Which is so freaking lame, because BOTH of them are still BARELY PLAYABLE. Wow. 2 lame ideas. None of them are successful...
In fact Arcane Artificer is the best card for a normal Control Mage this expansion. And that saddens me the most.
It is "real good" ONLY in Elemental/Big Spell Mage. Just like I said twice already. Do you even listen?
My argument isn't "card is bad, fuck Blizzard, dust it". My argument is "card is barely good enough to consider its inclusion anywhere EXCEPT for Elemental/Big Spell Mage".

Oh, hi :)
Haven't seen you in a while. Maybe you're right but I don't have Mecha'thun -_-

Idk, maybe I'm a little biased, but seems like there is a serious lack of card draw. Acolyte of Pain, Arcane Intellect, Coldlight Oracle, Research Project or something similar would be great here.
By the way Coldlight Oracle and Research Project would be great against Big Priest.

Okay then :)
How does it work for you so far?

More Taunts/heal/board clears. Murlock Paladin currently is one of the best Aggro decks in both Standard and Wild. But beating them still shouldn't be all that hard even now: Mortal Coil, Darkbomb, Defile, Hellfire, Despicable Dreadlord, Abyssal Enforcer, Twisting Nether. And I'm not even going to mention every Taunt in the deck.
If you're facing mostly token decks, try to fit in Doomsayer, Demonwrath or Bloodmage Thalnos/Tainted Zealot - spell damage with that amount of board clears might be more useful than you think :)
