I immediately thought of Warlocks "destroy a mana crystal" mechanic. It has synergy with cards like Blastcrystal Potion, Voidcaller, Felguard and Krul the Unshackled. It is your basic turn 4 Mountain Giant but with a twist.

"Your Hero Power becomes "Discover a Secret"."
It's not a Battlecry or a Deathrattle, so when the weapon breaks, you get your old hero power back. That way you can still use Deathstalker Rexxar if you like. But this one comes online early and lets you contest the board for 0 mana while you use your mana to gather and play Secrets.
