Team 5 is completely rudderless and the game is clearly in sunset/bust-out. It was a lovely ride, but it's not going to last much longer.

qb_maximus posted a message on Wild Mode is dying by Star Aligner DruidPosted in: Wild FormatOk, I have just found out why Druid is so busted in Wild! Because he is protecting the Wild! Just as he says when battle starts “I must protect the Wild!”.
P.S. sorry if this is old joke, I realized it just now, when faced another Druid.

TheCreature posted a message on Wild Mode is dying by Star Aligner DruidPosted in: Wild FormatBitches like you are whats making this game go the way of WoW... noobs cry and big daddy blizzard will bring out the nerf bat to wipe your tears away, over some really interestingly thought out deck, yet kingsbane, and big priest rule wild, and nothing gets done about them? AK47 Druid is way easier to beat then kingsbane. Tempo mage rapes it also. Agro hunter kills it by turn 5. The noobs crying over this are just playing some meme deck they cooked up and right before they can do their retarded combo, turn 8 happens and they gets OTKed by something other than malygos. Its wild mode ffs... quit crying and go play Standard. plz? Okybye.

Haussenfuss posted a message on Wild Mode is dying by Star Aligner DruidPosted in: Wild FormatLooking at the HSReplays numbers, the deck has an overall play-rate of 6%, rising to 11% at high ranks. There is an ongoing debate in the Wild community regarding the power level of the deck - while it is capable of doing busted things, it's also very easy to exaggerate the performance of any viable combo deck. All of the available data, compiled by VS and HSReplays, suggests that the deck doesn't need to be nerfed for power level reasons - it's a middle-of-the-road, Tier 2 deck, and its win-rate drops as you climb the higher ranks of the ladder. Tog Druid out-performs SA Druid at all ranks of the ladder by 2%-3%. Both decks have relatively low win-rates, despite playing the most powerful cards in the format, because they are vulnerable to aggro decks, and tech choices - unlike the Sea Naga decks which were nerfed earlier this year.
By comparison, three Aggro/Mid-Range decks have dominated the format since WW - Odd Rogue and Odd Paladin, and Even Shaman. They each have over-all win-rates 5%-7% better than SA Druid, and 2%-5% better at high ranks. Also by comparison, virtually no one in the Wild community is suggesting that any of those decks needs to be nerfed. The complaint that Combo Druid is "warping" the format isn't supported by any available dataset - at high ranks, the combined play-rates of the Aggro/MR decks is more than double that of the two Druid decks. And unlike most Combo decks, both flavours of Druid have even-to-bad match-ups against the most popular Control decks in the format - so the complaint that the deck is squeezing other archetypes out of the meta-game isn't exactly accurate.
Blizzard often nerfs cards because they produce game play which isn't "fun", regardless of power-level. I can't speak for others, but I personally don't feel more frustrated losing to a Combo deck on turn six than losing to an Aggro deck on turn six, or a Mid-Range deck that bursts me down on turn six. In all three cases, the top ten cards in my deck, and my opponent's deck, determine who wins - if they have the questions, and I don't have the answers, there is nothing to be done. But that's just called "playing a card game" - if anything, HS players are lucky that there aren't any decks which can regularly goldfish for a win on turn three or four, like just about every other IRL card game which has ever existed.

FanOfValeera posted a message on Card they should add to Classic setPosted in: General DiscussionDruid: Living Roots, Fandral Staghelm,Poison Seeds and Branching Paths. I know the last one is still standard, but I think it shouldn't leave in the first place. People might think it is broken, but the reason why all druid cards seem more broken than they normally are is Ultimate Infestation
Hunter: Cat Trick and Wandering Monster. These two cards could have been evergreen and not many would complain about them.
Mage: Arcanologist might stay in standard forever. I think there is nothing wrong with her, she is a strong 2-drop, but not broken. Also, I would keep Primordial Glyph around. After the weapon leaves the standard, tempo mage will be weaker anyways.
Paladin: I would bring Ragnaros, Lightlord back to make a Control deck a bit more viable. (Or Forbidden Healing). It is way more balanced than Sunkeeper Tarim. I would also get Solemn Vigil back.
Warrior: Either Revenge or Sleep with the Fishes. And I would keep either Blood Razor or Death's Bite in standard forever. After the Win Axe nerf, slower warrior decks need some good weapons (Supercollider is a fine card maybe)
Neutral: Antique Healbot for some neutral healing, Dirty Rat to screw with combo decks around, Loatheb because he is awesome. I would also create a cheap secret removal in evergreen set. Lastly, I would rather have Skulking Geist around forever.

I dont care about any preorder packages, because I wont pay any additional cent for this game. Ive already sunk like 100$ into it, far more than any full price title ive ever played. So much for free2play.
I dont play HS regularely anymore anyway and this is probably the last set i can keep up with.

as long as nobody crafts or dusts a card based on his reviews, everything is fine. but considering his reach, there might still be lots of players who take his word for granted and therefore its totally correct to flame the shit out of him.
trump is a mediocre player, often looks totally lost on stream and his review system is horrible. even if a card sees zero play in the upcoming meta, when the card is strong in a vacuum, its highly likely it will see play after rotations/next expansion/wild.

It looks like a total meme set to me besides very few cards. But you never know what the limited card pool in standard will make viable in the end. It defintely lools like theyre decreasing power level, which is a must to keep the powerspiral in check.
That said, HS has become very dull for me anyway and im looking forward to magic arena.

you get dust for the golden but not the regular ones

Funfact. A full collection (regular and gold) would cost me 2.600.000 dust to complete. So a real prize would be 30.000 packs. Totally reasonable, right?
