Lightbomb
Euality
Peacekeeper
Etc
The combo hasn't "been out for years." With the latest patch, Blizzard changed the way Naga applies its discount - it is now possible to play a handful of 8/8s on turn five. FWIW - BB discussed the change to Naga in the Wild subreddit last week. Apparently, the decks running the package have a 50% win-rate, and isn't currently problematic. It seems likely that the versions running 8+ giants are too clunky to survive ladder attrition in the long run - the deck often has a hand full of unplayable cards when it doesn't draw a Naga. -

Heeljin posted a message on Tracking the Witch HunterPosted in: HunterOne thing I learned doing these decks is that high impact cards like The Lich King, Frost Lich Jaina, or something like Call of the Wild work very well because sometimes you just hit them with Bright-Eyed Scout and win the game on turn 5.
Many times your Naga Sea Witch turn will just be a 5/5 and an 8/8 and your opponent will deal with the 8/8 giant leaving your Naga alive. Having something extremely powerful to cast like Ultimate Infestation, Sprint or Call of the Wild is a great follow up!

user-20679753 posted a message on The Basic/Classic Card Nerf Hammer Thread!Posted in: General DiscussionInstead of nerfs to single cards, the game needs:
1. Classes/decks to be less rock paper scissors
2. Random effects to be less game-deciding

byzants posted a message on The Basic/Classic Card Nerf Hammer Thread!Posted in: General DiscussionScrew nerfs, just rotate the entire core set.
That's what the standard format needs and it is what the wild format needs.
Appreciate the sarcasm and you raise a very good point, a ton of cards are staple.

Sherman1986 posted a message on Blizzard, Decide on a Class For Rafaam AlreadyPosted in: Tavern BrawlAre you serious dude? Ethereal Conjurer discovers a mage card for him because the conjurer IS a mage card. The same happens with the other cards: Hydrologist discovers a paladin secret because it's a paladin card and Dark Peddler discovers a warlock 1 mana card because it is a warlock card. Rafaam is neither a mage, nor warlock, nor a paladin, he is just Rafaam.

dr3amb3ing posted a message on The Naga Giants deck is at the point where if my opponent sees I'm playing either Warlock, Druid or Hunter, they just concedePosted in: Wild FormatI hate this deck, both playing it and playing against it (though Lightbombing a greedy board is sweet). I don't know if it's actually overpowered given that you obviously need the nagas, but what I hate is that it's cheating the purposes of the giants. The giants are thematically intended to reward hoarding cards, taking damage, flooding board, casting spells, etc. These decks don't care about any of that. I've actually seen people play Clockwork Giant against me when I barely have any cards in my hand. That's stupid.
The stealth change (I like that term) was moronic.
Lightbomb definitely kept me in check a couple games - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

@ OP: Check out the latest VS Meta Report (http://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-45/#metabreaker) for some ideas. Token Druid, Aggro Shaman, and possibly Burn Mage seem worth checking out.

Combo with The Voraxx and/or Primalfin Champion for really silly amounts of value. This is swiftly turning into one of my favorite cards in the Un'Goro set.
Now if only Paladins could get Bolster...

Best use I've gotten from this so far is copying it with Mana Bind. Free 8+ drop? Yes please!

Because Servant of Yogg-Saron was a great card that saw a lot of use and everyone loved it, so of course they'd print another version of it.

Do you have Ragnaros the Firelord already? If not, I'd strongly recommend him over either Leeroy or Aya. Much more versatile and a very strong card in the classic set.
Otherwise, I'd say Leeroy personally. He'll never rotate out of standard and is a huge threat in aggro (or miracle rogue) decks.

Definitely just got lucky. No deck keeps a 100% winrate forever...
