This competition is really interesting, what to vote for.... Everything it is!
(The Murloc Knight statline was used for reference, sure. The effect however can't High/Low-roll and is consistently a board control tool. Also the effect is harder to trigger. It COULD have been a 3/5 like Violet Teacher, but having 2/1 rush tokens seems fairly powerful. Summon 1 and get 6/5 Stats, pretty strong!)
My Entry for this one: Keeping the theme of existing Hunter Dragons, a corrupted Green Dragon:
Nightmare Whelp
!
A Dragon with
deathrattle
synergy (
Play Dead
). It also acts as support for existing Dragon Hunter cards (
Emeriss
,
Carrion Drake
, maybe
Wing Blast
).
Same, i didn't think I'd make it, and I kind of did not get a notification until, well, now. -well, i was kind busy with work and missed the poll in the frontpage... D:
Congrats to PhoenixFeather; and to everyone who participated: see you in the next one :)
Being actually able to play her changed my opinion a bit. The effect is very powerful for more late game value, but you often win without it. It's definetly no The Mistcaller, but it ain't not Prince Keleseth either.
The effect is not as good in Spiteful decks (Shadow Ascendant, Duskbreaker, Cobalt Scalebane, Spiteful Summoner are all core minions and do not benefit from Lady in White, Cleric also doesn't really work since you almost always play it early on). There are some versions that run her to buff about 5-8 minions. They are a bit slower, since they play a 6 mana 5/5 without board presence.
Agreed, Tempo Rogue is very powerful because even without Prince Keleseth, it's a fast deck; but if you could play Keleseth on turn 1 or 2 your chance to win just skyrocketed to about 70% (with shadowstep even higher). The Lady in White gives you a stronger buff on some minions at slow tempo, so it's a value card. As a finnisher it's too inconsistent though. Lady in White is basically another win-more card, and not some insane tempo card like Keleseth.
RIP Patches, nerf was necessary, but Blizz could have given him Rush at least. Him no longer saying "I'm in charrrge now!" was the worst change ever , Yaharrr!" is so lame D:
What surprised me a lot in this competition is how many people made empty deck cards.
In my opinion, cards based on empty decks are not very exciting - in Hearthstone at least. Not having cards in your deck is not a desirable condition - you are out of resources, and soon, time as well. It's a game state that is not all too common (unless you are in a control heavy match-up or play with/against a mill deck) so this mechanic doesn't factor in most of the time. Even in fatigue games these cards just sit in your hand until the very end, being essentially a dead draw until then.
Unless of course, you had a card that made decks empty: Hemet, Jungle Hunter - But you'd still have to find that one-off legendary.
Since you will die to fatigue or getting pushed out of the game (since you have no resources left), these empty-deck-cards would need to be on a very high power level. That would make playing against them as interactive as Barnes-on-4, and i don't think many of us want that.
I know these card-design competitions are just for the fun of making "What If..." cards, but I don't really think empty deck cards belong into hearthstone.
This minion is not just bad. It's awful: A 4 mana 2/3 Taunt is a very weak base body. You are also paying 2 mana for a battlecry that kills your own board! You need to actually sacrifice at least 1 totem to get at least stats worth 4 mana - and friendly totems usually cost 2 mana. Therefore you actually do not get any advantage from sacrificing your totems. -You still overpay an understated minion: With 1 basic totem it's a 6 mana 4/5, with all 4 it would be a 12 mana 10/11. -Since it *destroys* your totems, you actually only get 2 points worth of stats from the battlycry -You also loose your totem effects
A) It's a one-off legendary minion. Basing your deck arround one card is generally not a good idea, espescially if you can't search for it specifically (like Kingsbane Decks can). The Lady in White only effects minions in your deck making you loose a lot of value on every minion drawn before you can play her, speaking of:
B)She is not Prince Keleseth! Keleseth-Decks might often have a probem of not getting their battlecry buff off early enough, but they can play him as early as turn 2 (or even turn 1)! 6 Mana do nothing can be very expensive.
Maybe this is a really good minion, so far however this seems to be another The Mistcaller.
Have encountered 3 Priests over 15 games, lost once. The first died to Murmuring Elemental-Blazecaller-Grumble Combo shenanigans, the second conceded turn 2 (turn 1 Murmuring + Coin Bonemare). The last one had as many board-clears as me and killed me with the Malygos combo.
Everything in the brawl can be OP, Priest hasn't really been a problem IMO
Hot Spring Guardian can easily be replaced, they are just mean to be another activator for Elemental-synergies. The heal did win me some games though, and taunt can be nice.

Why are they rotating this card out D:

A classic Paladin ability that I feel is missing in Hearthstone:

My Entry alongside a Token. I love the card shuffle theme of the class!

And it even gets worse. It also destroys Mana Tide Totem, Primalfin Totem and Flametongue Totem; all card that actually see constructed play.
Basically this is like a Phantom Freebooter (which barely sees any play) that also destroys your own weapon.
That's how bad this thing is.

So while a LOT of people are currently prophesiesing new insane Lady in White decks with things like Stormwatcher and Corridor Creeper in it, keep in mind:
