Has anyone ever pointed out the fact (I know that someone surely already did) that maybe giving as arena reward a pack that is necessarely from the last expansion is not the best idea?
As an "old" player I hate Witchwood and I'm avoiding arena since I rather opening K&C (much more interesting cards IMO, and still some cool legendaries that I miss); and if I happened to be a new player instead, I think I'd rather to open classic packs first.
I think this makes a reasonable amount of players take distance from arena, and that's a problem that would be easily solved by giving as reward a ticket that can be used to reedem the pack you like.
As much as your comments about this, I'd like to understand if Blizzard has ever explained his point of view about this.
It is a better alternative than what they tried in the past - giving out random packs - and they changed it back due to an overwhelmingly negative feedback from the community. Yes, pack tokens would be the best case scenario, but that would require some additional interface built into the game. Might happen in the future, tho doubt it is very high on their priority list.
I can understand you not liking the newest expansion, but id argue it is the best option so far for majority of ppl. For those of us, who love to play arena more than other modes, we get the new cards as well and new players usually want the newest stuff anyways and that is exactly Blizzards stance on it as well: players want (or should want) the packs from the newest expansion.

I like Arena a lot as well, but because of that, I sometimws find myself with a pity timer around 20 when a new expension hit. That ticket thing would be awesome for situations like this

No argument there, but i was just saying that they already experimented with this and came back to the best possible option (for now), which im glad they did. Mby if arena became more popular, they would consider the pack token, tho ironically that could be what could make arena more interesting for bunch of ppl :)
I dont do alot of this arena coz it seems that its always witchwood pack reward, which i have 99% complete only missing glitter moths. I rather get kobolds. They really need to make it a pack of choice.

That's the real point, Blizzard can't say that the newest expansion is less succesfull than the others, and that's why I sadly don't really think the idea of the ticket will ever become reality; so, not a good news for old players like me. Still, I think that the approach with new players should be different. When a friend of mine started recently to play HS and asked me advices about how to play, I told him that the most efficient way to take this game is to get more and more confident with arena, since the possibility to get infinite value from infinite runs is simply too amazing. Anyway, he in fact IS a new player, so he is not still just good enough to do something like this, and he still misses a lot of classic cards too. I think that at least Blizzard should give to players like this the possibility to redeem a classic pack instead.
Got Garbage rewards for an 11-0 arena run but hey at least I got an epic I don't know so I won't bitch and complain too much. Now I just need Dog to fetch me that one pack and I'm golden :p

Best solution would be replace the pack with 100 gold, so you could buy whatever you want, even save it for future expansions. Or maybe make the arena cost 50 and remove the pack from rewards. Maybe it would even incentivate players to play more arena, so after you complete a quest you may not be able to buy a pack but you can always try your luck in arena

Thank you!
A ticket for a pack of your choice will be better for sure.

It used to be a random pack from any expansion in standard.
I liked that a lot more, now it's always current expansion. The ideal would be a token to buy anything from the current standard year.
