All the studies cards are good picks, as well as First Day of School. But for some reason Patches is not banned in this Brawl which is completely ridiculous. Get 7 1/1s on t1 and when they die you get 7 more, etc...
I beat pogo hopper rogue by playing with cloak of evasion and pinging them in the face with my weapon every turn. If you can find 5 direct damage through weapons/combo burst damage, and maybe a bit of draw so you arent as draw dependent, then you can win
I played with Illidari Studies, and it was pretty consistent in finding me Consume Magic's, which usually also drew a card for reload. I won my game against Pogo, not sure how repeatable it is though, I only played a handful of game to complete a quest.

I really wanted Flik Skyshiv to work as a pogo counter, but it's nearly mathematically impossible to live until turn 6 (or 5 with the coin) against pogos. You'd need a string of perfect random rogue cards and you'd need your opponent to draw his randoms so that he runs out of pogos on T3.

Nerub'ar Weblord works almost all the time when going second. Going first is difficult, unless your opponent only plays one pogo their turn 1.
This brawl seems fun and like you could come up with cool ideas but Blizzard not banning certain cards makes it unplayable, it's for sure a 1-and-done and even then it can be frustating.
Patches should be banned, getting 7/7 worth of stats is dumb and you can refill.
Pogo is also dumb, even without Shadowstep the fuckers get big really fast.
Ice Block makes me feel like i want to die. If the mage goes first then it's an auto win, you literally just do as much damage with pings and free spells and then play an iceblock every turn until your opponent fatigues.
Mind Blast is also pretty frustating as you only need 6 to win which means you win on turn 5 no matter what.
All of this strategies literally kill any sort of fun you want to have and any creative idea you might come up with.
Superboring brawl. Should ban most broken decks just to give some room for creativity.
Pogo is countered by 1/4 battlecries cost 2 more. But doesnt work vs Patches. Working vs both is hard. And if opp is not boring and playing pogo/Patches counters work even less.
Four options
1) Howl among the wolves: Play those boring decks
2) Ignorance is bliss: Lose vs them and when facing someone else do not get bored.
3) Let the hatred flow: play some insane counter designed to just pogo / Patches and lose vs others (doesnt really matter to pogo player to lose in a while)
4) THAT is purely EVIL: Play some counter like Time Out each turn and let timer go to zero vs pogo/patches. Game takes 15mins and they can't profit. If they are smart they concede and find next match and win 4 before this would ended.

I bet Pogo Hopper isn't banned, but I'm not going to play to find out.
Renounce darkness for the lolz
It wasn't... And both that and Patches should have been, now there is very little room for creativity.

Pogo isnt banned, just concede when you see it, if people with no imagination (or brain) want to play it then let them
have seen some fun picks tho, Snack Run was an interesting idea as was Envoy Rustwix
Is there even a counter to Pogo-Hopper except even more Pogo-Hoppers? A shaman played Earth Shock, but it turned out Rogue class cards are pretty good! I was thinking Devolve or Devolving Missiles could work

I know. It's just that these people are probably playing it for xp.

@Dracandross Pogo is countered by Earth Shock but you have to rely on the random cards to win.
I beat that with pogos, if you get some draw as rogue, you win with ease, and it is not that hard to hit some.

It is possible to counter Pogo Rogue with showstoppers but doesn't work with patches however. Just an idea
