Tonight, I talked with my friend about hs about new xpac ( we never meet in real life) , we were predicting legendaryes, and idk how, we got into personal stuff, we talked about how he buys packs etc, than we talked about toast and how he earns well and honest money, and he said to me and I quote "I was born and simple man,and will die so". After that our conversation escalated like a coined flapy bird, in the end I told him that "People don't fail cuz the aim high and miss,is cuz they aim low and hit". After that he said, have a good night. Apparently he grew up with the idea that the only way to earn money is to work your "cake" out, and that toast kripp they are all liars/scammers. I just wanted to make him think bigger.... He blocked me and all that stuff. I kinda fell bad, I just wanted to make him believe in himself more than he already does.
P.S: I don't want to get in trouble with the staff, soo... which class will you play next x-pac, and who is the friend you can't wait to duel? :D
Some dude from my friends list once invited me to play a few friendly games, it was all nice and friendly until the third game where he coins Barnes on 3 into Ragnaros the Firelord, as Priest ofc. I conceded and un-friended him instantly, I don't need that type of negativity in my life lul
I think what you said can be really ofensive if taken personally. You basically said that being a common person is to be a failure. This is a total misconception, and I hope you learn that it is possible to be happy living an ordinary life. You owe him an apology.
Hey dude! Don't be sad... we are not really "friends" when playing online games... And besides that, it could happen the same with friends in real life. At least it happen to me once.
You may add me if you want to chat about next xpac and the game and whatever.
Some people just aren't cut out for success. It's popular these days to tell little boys and girls you can be anything, aim for the stars, but it's simply not true. Most people don't have the IQ, the will power, the good looks, the support base, the money, or sometimes the plain dumb luck to be famous or great.
Aiming high is good. But it's also good to learn to be content with being who you are. You probably made him feel inferior for being a regular dude working a regular job. He works hard all day to play HS for 20 minutes of relaxation probably, and he doesn't need you reminding him that other lives are easier.
Motivational speeches are only positive if the person needs one to get over the hump. If they struggled to get to where they are, and learned to be content, a motivational speech is...belittling.

Sorry, but who are you to tell others what to do? He just wants a simple life, dude, you should learn to respect that,

He spends 200$ on mobile games, is not about that. He just told me that he does not even want to try to become someone, WE HAVE THIS 1 LIFE what a waste to label our self as ordinary, where is the confidence huh?

Sure!!!
If you love someone, let him go. If he comes back, it was meant to be.
If he doesn't, hunt him down, and make his life total zero.

Look at the bright side: you gained some wisdom.
It's damn hard to change people's way of thinking, and in most cases the only possible way is with indirect and re-iterated means.
People tend to build their own system and they perceive any change as an unbearable effort on their side, hence they judge change as a threat.
All that happens independently of what's right (and often both sides can be wrong).
And if you care of the person you are arguing with, after a certain point it's wiser to hold your mouth than trying to force your point.
