I mean, yeah that's a three card combo. 3 card combos should be better than singular cards. If my opponent plays veranus, soul mirror, etc. into that I'll be down three cards instead of one. Paladin doesn't have the card draw to sustain multicard combos like that. Thats why paladin is pigeonholed into tempo decks. No card draw = no late game.
Also, you have to run desk imp for this. You'd never run that card except specifically for this combo. When you're trying to make a point, avoid extreme, specific examples. Card games have variance. Sure, that's a lot of stats, but it requires you to run an otherwise bad card in your deck. Desk imp wouldnt be in the pally deck because it's worse than other cards in almost every circumstance, and it's not even gamebreaking in your cherry picked example.
The problem with this is Paladin has poor card draw. It is an okay combo but if it gets removed you will be left with pretty much nothing because this is a removal meta I think.
It's fairly common to use a stat line such as 18/18 to infer a total amount of stats, rather than one specific minion with those stats. Even so, 7 mana for 2 x 9/9s is also pretty impressive.
Turn 7 Desk Imp + Blessing of Authority + Argent Braggart is better than Power of Creation, yet people say pally is poor.
Probably why there is all kinds of removal.
Where's the 18/18? I see two 9/9s.

Keymaster Alabaster come faster
3 cards vs 1 card.
Sorry for my broken english.

Yeah and that are 3 cards instead of 1, to put 2 minions without impact on the field that turn. It's not a good strategy
Now let's thing about these cards as standalones...
Aggro will demon-hunt you down by turn 7. Especially if you are not healing-taunting or removing their board on your turn 7 as well. = 100% dead
Control will usually have no problem dealing with 2 x 9'9-s on turn 7 using 1-2 cards.
So yep - gl with that combo...
Comparing two different classes and a 3 card combo with a single card. Jeez...
Apples and oranges dude.
