I love discover, but Demon Hunter gets the new domant pitlord almost everytime which is too op. Here your rule would be welcomed with the random pick - I hate that they can discover that card so easily - it is far to say it has lost me almost every game against DH.
That can be fixed by banning Pitlord from the pool, or just add more demons to the pool. Cause DH getting 4 pitlords, of which 2 for just 1 mana is very OP.
They will have cards in their hand but eventually they are all played, which gives you the opportunity to put more in their hands if your minions survive. It's a meme deck, don't expect a ton of good results.
Time-Lost Protodrake wasn't doing much for me, while Clay Matriarch is very sticky on the board and gives a very cheap 1 mana minion which is also very sticky. Just much more value in my view.
Aman'Thul was clearing mostly 2 minions and was destroyed the next turn, whereas Reno, Lone Ranger is clearing the full board and helping massively next turn. Needless to say you need to draw a quite some cards of your deck but usually you only play the card when you have less than 10 cards left and thus are able to play the card. The only exception is plague DK though...
Ignis, the Eternal Flametakes preparation and usually clears a max of 15 HP in 1 turn. Alexstrasza takes no preparation and also clears 15 HP in 1 turn. I just have more success this way.
I've had a huge ton of fun with Hidden Gem . Early game it's awesome to stall when you have a bad draw and later in the game in combination with Crimson Clergy and Injured Hauler it's hilarious. I just had a game vs Dragon Paladin which kept dropping huge minions and got me down to 7 HP. I already had 2 Hidden Gems on the board, so I used Timewinder Zarimi much earlier than I wanted to but If I didn't use it, I would have died. with the extra turn I healed 8 hp and got to clear the enemy board. Eventually I went back to 30 HP and he just left the game when I also dropped an Injured Hauler .
This deck is the most fun I had since the new expansion release.
I played a lot less and never buy expansions anymore. The game is as unbalanced as can be. Classes with near 60% winrate and classes with near 40% winrate. They are not even trying to fix it. Then fine, you don't get my money anymore.
Priest can only win with The dragon legendary, which has no counter aside being lucky with dropping a Dirty Rat. Paladin can permanent stealth a fully buffable minion which only counter is a silence.
Nah man, not my meta at all. I want to see board battles. Smart thinking. Nothing of that is left.
There has not been a single deck with 60% winrate for months. What are you talking about?
According to hsreplay.net, Demon Hunter has a winrate of 57,3% currently. Hence my comment of near 60%.

It is a strong combo but you don't need it. By the time you can play that combo, you nearly always have 1 or 2 Power Chord: Synchronize in hand, which gives you 2 extra Playhouse Giant , thus over 30 damage.
I would rather go for even more card draw to burn through your deck as quick as possible. Preferably you would have drained your deck by the time you get to 9 mana and be able to execute the winning combo.
If you are getting that close to legendary but you won't make it just yet, just look for betterments in your deck, don't just copy what everyone else is playing.
I'm currently playing Zarimi dragon priest but changed 4 cards in the popular deck, which made my winrate go up by a lot. Currently playing at Diamond 3 but I don't play a lot and came from Bronze. I have 3 more days to get to legendary and feel it's going to be an easy run.
Only 3 nerfs for Paladin... That's not going to cut it. It's not fun playing against a 14/7 Leeroy with windfury!
Giving paladin a windfury spell at all is the most ridiculous overpowered thing ever. And that weapon that gives +1/+1 to all minions after your attack is ridiculous OP too. Giving that weapon -1 durability is the least they can do.

Although the deck is very fun to play I kept falling back to Diamond 10.
I swapped out Aman'Thul for Reno, Lone Ranger, Time-Lost Protodrake for another Clay Matriarch and Ignis, the Eternal Flame for Alexstrasza and was able to climb to Diamond 5 easily so far.

I will certainly try this deck. Thanks for the write up.
edit: is the Rustrot Viper in here for specifically one deck? Like the Rogue weapon deck that keeps building up?

I usually get my ass handed over by DH... Luckily I don't meet them often.

You don't need OTK decks for that. We had Facehunter decks for years on end which succesfully destroyed control archetypes.

15 seconds is overdone with the current animations but they could experiment with 90 seconds.

that's just not ok...

You know you can very easily complete this event while not completing the challenges right? It's not that hard to do.
